No where to go (Aliyah)
Forsyth was on a family business trip, traveling to help with his parents company. He came upon a last stop in Harper Rock, a place he never heard of, nor knew any information about the place. It was his last day, and wanted to do some exploring after a long trip of going around the country. And so he ended up around the town, going into different stores, and when it turned night he decided to see what the night life had to offer.
The tall man ended up in a tavern, not knowing the name since he didn't really focus on finding any specific place to have a few drinks. Just wore a simple dark t-shirt and dark washed jeans. He wanted to do something his last night here, seeing as his plane left late at night the next day. He chit-chated with people as they came and go, he currently like the feel and look of the current bar that he decided to stay there until bar time. When the bar closed he decided to just do a bit more exploring, and there was a forest nearby. He grabbed his phone just to have a little light while he walked, just so he didn't trip or run into any trees. Mainly, he just didn't want to go back to the hotel and sleep yet. So he decided to go into the forest just to explore a little bit. Forsyth didn't know much about the forest, and what could be there, even in this city..
He didn't pay mind to his surroundings while he walked, only when there were tree stumps on the ground in front of him. Thoughts ran through his head to keep himself distracted, going deeper and deeper into the forest without realizing it. He heard a few rustling sounds around him and he stopped to glance around, but he couldn't see anything. It was dark, and there was no light to see far, only little in front of him due to his phone. The man shrugged it off and continued to walk.
Unexpectly, after a few minutes past his whole body landed on the ground with a smack. He heard snarling and growls behind him, sharp claws digging into his back and ripping at the skin. He let out painful groans each time the animal would dig into his back. What was it on him? What type of beast? He didn't know or couldn't tell, it was heavy and big, that he knew. He used his strength, most that he could get, to get himself out from underneath the beast. He got a quick glance to see the large black wolf snarling at him and pounce towards Forsyth. With all his energy he had he took off in a spring, his speed wasn't fast, seeing as the animal caught up quick to pin the man to a tree. He let out a loud painful scream when the animal's teeth came in contact with his shoulder.
There was no way anyone could hear his cry for help, he knew that he wouldn't survive this. Oh he should have brought his ka-bar to this strange city with him.. But Forsyth tried his best to get the animal away from him, using his arm strength by pushing at the wolfs breast so he couldn't be bitten anymore, though his left arm was weak from the bite where it dangled at his side. He would fight and run off until something worse would happen, possibly the cost of his life..

Re: No where to go (Aliyah)
The Hunting Grounds had become part of a routine in the last few weeks, the creatures that roamed the area outside Harper Rock proving to be good practice for the zombies and ferals that lived within the Quarantine Zone walls. Aliyah had began to take on the ferals only a few days ago, and so far, the venture had turned out in her favor. They were much harder to take on, but the rewards were far better. Not to mention, the shady merchants paid much more for a vial of their blood compared to the rotting ears of the zombies. Not that she could blame them. The ears were useless, really...unless used in rituals.
But, alas, it was time to leave the darkened forest. The city streets were calling to her, beckoning her to them so that she might feed for the night and be done. Once she was fed, she could go back to the apartment and share 'coffee' with Dhara before the sun rose. And while she hadn't had the chance to get in a good hack, she would make up for it tomorrow. Thanks to Elliot, she was set in terms of money, and so one night being a little short wouldn't hurt too badly.
The dense trees held more than just the creatures of the hunting grounds, the mere thought of the Faw causing a violent shiver to shoot down Aliyah's spine. She had yet to have a personal experience with the creatures, but she had been told enough stories to keep her away for a good long time. Resting in the forest was by no way an option.
The sudden screams halted the blonde in her tracks, her ears picking up the noise as if it were coming from right beside her. Whatever it, or who, it was...the sounds coming from them were ones of pain and desperation. Part of her wanted to leave, to let fate takes its course. But the part of her that clung to humanity demanded she move.
With a sudden groan, she shot off in the direction of the screams and within a moment's time found herself witnessing a violent wolf attack. The scent of the human's blood filled the air, her fangs throbbing in anticipation. But, now was not the time to feed, and all it took was picturing Dhara in the situation before Aliyah acted. Her hands were on the wolf's muzzle before it could leap at the male again, the one jerk motion snapping the creatures neck with a pathetic whimper.
She dropped the limp body like it was nothing, taking tentative steps toward the male. "Are...you okay?" she asked, stopping a good few steps away, just in case he were to bolt. But, by the looks of him, that wasn't going to happen.

Re: No where to go (Aliyah)
With his eyes closed tight he figured he should just let the animal take him, he couldn't hold the wolfs strength back anymore. His knees were becoming jello, he felt light headed from the amount of blood he was losing as the seconds past. He thought of his fiance back home, his family, he knew he shouldn't give up so fast and let death come to him from an animal attack..
Suddenly he felt the weight of the animal's body being removed from his shoulders, where the wolf had him pinned to the tree, which caused him to sink to the ground almost unconciously. But he had to stay awake to see what, or who, got the wolf off and away, or even dead.. He opened his eyes to see the animal on the ground unmoving, and then he heard the voice of a woman.
Forsyth eyes lifted to see the blonde female near him. No.. It couldn't have been a regular human girl that just saved him, that would be impossible. She would need super strength, or a shot gun to get that large animal off and dead. "H-how?" he said in a horse voice. He could feel himself going in and out of conscious, 'Come on stay alive. You can't just die here' he spoke to himself. "I don't know if I am." he glanced down at his shoulder to see the open, and deep, wound still bleeding. And his shirt, not only on the back was it ripped up, but on the front at his stomach there was a deep scratch mark that penetrated many layers of his skin. "No, I'm not." The tall man let out a weak chuckle, feeling the taste of blood in his mouth.

Re: No where to go (Aliyah)
A quick catalog of the male's injuries told Aliyah that his chances of making it out of this were slim, and if she didn't get him help, it would be partially her fault. She moved the short distance between them and crouched down beside him, gingerly reaching for the large gash on his shoulder. It looked bad, which meant, it probably was. The male only served to prove her point further as she admitted the same. "It's okay...we can get you help..." she whispered, trying her best to reign in the blood lust raging at the forefront of her mind.
She could tell that it was taking a lot of him to try and stay away, but letting him fall into unconsciousness was just as bad an option. When she saw he started to falter, she gave him a gentle shake. "Hey, I need you to stay away with me, okay?!" It probably hurt him, but she needed to do something. Taking the loose scarf from around her neck, she began to rip it apart, using the various pieces to cover the wounds that she could clearly see, starting with his shoulder.
What were you doing out here?" she asked, figuring that conversation would be a good way to try and keep him awake and talking. Her fingers moved gently over his wounds, her eyes never leaving them. If she was going to eventually lose control trying to help this guy, she wouldn't allow herself to look into his eyes and see the pain and humanity in them. It would just make his death that much harder.
The howls in the distance let her know that more wolves were probably on their way, the scent of their blood and the final whimper of their fallen comrade having drawn them in. But, she would worry about them when the time came. Right now, she had a human to save.

Re: No where to go (Aliyah)
His breathing became rigid and heavy, and the bleeding just kept continuing. The man let out painful gasps of air as she attempt to patch him up and stop the bleeding. "I'm not going to make it, aren't I?" He kept his eyes open, though they were half close the entire time. But he could still make out her features. "I didn't know these woods were dangerous, I-I've never been here." It was true. He didn't know anything about this city or the dangers it held within the city limits.
Forsyth felt himself grow cold, causing his body to tremble. "How'd you kill that animal? It was impossible for me. H-how could you do it?" He tried to talk, tried to keep his mind all there. He didn't want to slip away so easily. Though he was light headed, and words were hard to form in his mouth, he was doing pretty good so far. He let out a weak laugh, "My friends will laugh if they hear about this, me, n-not being able to get a wolf off." He was babbling, it's what he always tended to do when he was nervous or frightened. But it was helping him all the least.
He wasn't going to last at the minutes passed, and so he stopped her by grabbing her wrist lightly. "Thank you." He whispered softly to her with a bloody faint grin. At least he didn't die in the hands of an animal, and as long as someone was there to take his body after, it made it easier for him to just sit there and relax.

Re: No where to go (Aliyah)
Her work was all in vain as the blood soaked through her scarf. It was coming too quickly for any hope of stopping it, and that left her with little choice. She could let him die, or she could try and turn him. When there was still so much to learn about being a vampire, siring someone was the last thing on her mind. The blonde didn't know how it worked, and what to do. What she did know, was that this guy was fading, and he was fading fast.
His rambling soothed away some of her worry as she fingers worked like made over his wounds, laughing slightly at the mess the poor thing had found himself in. Never before having been in the city, only to end up attacked by the creatures that ran free just outside its cement walls. "I'm...magic..." was the only answer she offered him as to how she managed to kill the wolf while he could barely hold it off.
It was true to the outsider human, she looked frail and soft. It was only to the vampire community that size was the last thing that mattered. While she was small, she was the stronger than any human could hope to be, and hunted the creatures for sport, for fun. She didn't need guns when she could use her bare hands. "Stay awake! Don't thank me, just keep your eyes open!" she demanded, growing frustrated with her lack of ability to help him.
He was slipping, and he was slipping fast. Without considering the dangers of her actions, she put her wrist to her mouth, her fangs breaking skin over her veins. Before he could protest or slip away, she shoved it into his mouth, letting the blood fill it. "Shh...it's going to be okay..." she whispered, using her free arm to stand him up against the tree.

Re: No where to go (Aliyah)
He rested his head back against the tree trunk. "I'm here still." he whispered. "Magic? That's your reason for fighting off a h-huge, w--" Forsyth was cut off by coughing up his own blood. He knew he didn't have much time left to go. "As long as someone is here." He opened his eyes to take one more glance at the woman in front of him. He was just going to let himself go, he couldn't fight it anymore to stay alive. Until what happened next made him come back to reality.
He felt the blood in his mouth, he knew it wasn't his, seeing as her wrist was at his mouth. The tall man couldn't speak, but his mind filled up with thoughts. What is she doing? Why is she giving me her blood? He wanted to stop her but he knew he couldn't, his muscles were sore and stiff to even move. He felt his body lift up against the tree, keeping his faded blue orbs on the woman's face. And just by that he felt his blood drain from his head, but his heart was still pumping, for now.
Suddenly Forsyth passed out right against the tree, but with the help of her support his body just laid back against the tree trunk. He didn't know what was to be expected afterwards, if she was just going to leave him there, or take him somewhere like a hospital.

Re: No where to go (Aliyah)
Aliyah was relieved when the male didn't put up any form of a struggle from her blood filling his mouth, but it was no surprise that he passed out soon after. If her assumptions were correct, he wasn't dead. Not yet, anyway. She managed to hold him up with ease, pulling her wrist away to lick at the wound. His blood mingled with her own against her skin, leaving his distinct taste in her mouth. Immediately, it began to water, craving his blood and the hunger that would ease.
Her nose wrinkled up in concentration, her will fighting against her hunger in an epic war. His blood covered them both, and if she didn't hurry, her self-will was going to lose. Unwilling to waste both of their time, she lifted him into her arms, cradling him in that Hollywood fashion, though she looked far too small to support his dead weight. Unable to let that fact bother her now, she quickened her pace while still managing to keep his body fairly still. Any sudden jerking and she could cause more damage than she could reverse.
The nearest motel was only a block into the city and she made quick work of getting there, slipping down side streets and alleyways to avoid being seen by anyone. That would be a for sure Masquerade break, and that would land her in more trouble than she could afford. She made easy work of a locked door on the bottom floor, setting him gently down on the floor until she stripped the bed of all its blankets and sheets. Once that was done, she lifted him onto the bare mattress, his head on a pillow. He looked terrible.
Knowing that he would be okay for the moment, she moved to the bathroom and began to scrub the blood from her hands. And go pay for a motel room for at least a few days. When the blood was gone, she peeled her blood soaked jacket from her back and checked herself over. Thanks to being a vampire, getting blood all over was something magically avoided. And so she went to pay.
Her return was quick, and she plopped down into the sole chair in the room, watching. Watching and waiting.

Re: No where to go (Aliyah)
As the days went by he began to gain conscious slowly, but never waking up completely. Until the seventh day he finall woke up with a small groan, eyes opening slowly. He looked around to find himself safe in a room. Hotel? It looked like it. How did he end up here? Why wasn't he at the hospital? But first, how was he alive? He slowly pushed himself up on the bed and blinked a few times to clear his vision to see the room better. His body was still achy and what hurt the most was his head as it pounded wildly, and his stomach felt nauseous.. It felt like he was sleeping in the same position for days. Was he in a coma? Did he get to the hospital and then brought here? Nothing made sense at the moment with where he was.
When he found his strength to sit up, he leaned against headboard he looked down at his body to see the affect of the wounds. But to his surprise they weren't there. The blood from where they were was still stained to his shirt, maybe he just couldn't see them. He peeled off his shirt with a groan due to achy muscles, mostly from his left shoulder that still hurt the most, just to see if he was just allusion things. But he wasn't. They were gone. What the hell happened? He couldn't see any scars from stitches, but he could see soft tissue where his scars were located at on his stomach, and his shoulder
He couldn't remember much either from the attack, or anything after, he just remembered a blonde woman but that was about it. He must have passed out.. For days too. Though when the man lifted his gaze to look around the room just to see things a bit more, he found the woman there in the room. "Did you bring me here?" He asked, though his voice cracked from the dryness, and he went to rub at his throat. Yeah he was out for days he could tell. "And how long was I out for? What's going on?" His voice began to grow, mostly in anger. "What did you do?"

Re: No where to go (Aliyah)
The week passed on in a sort of blur for Aliyah, each night ending the same as the last...with her barely making it home before the sun rose. With her late nights, her usual time with Dhara had become non-existent and the woman was growing worried. As the sun was beginning to rise, her human flatmate had snuck into her bedroom to make sure everything was okay, her concern for the blonde perfectly clear. Unable to tell Dhara the truth, Ali had promised all was well, but she could tell her friend didn't believe her. Hell, Ali wouldn't have believed herself.
But, with the male barely hanging to life in the motel, she felt it was her duty to care for him. She felt awful enough that she had to leave during the daylight hours, worried that he might pass away on her and she would come back that night to find him dead. But, so far, he had clung to life. Stubborn of him, but admirable. He never moved, his heartbeat a mere whisper in his chest.
Each night, she was come and sit at his side. Each night, she would bite into her wrist and let the blood flow into his mouth. She had made him this way, and hopefully, her blood would be able to heal him in time. When she had given him that first dose, she had thought he would turn. She had. It was a one night thing, and the next, she was dead and a vampire. But, somehow, she had messed up. Something had wrong and instead of turning this poor man into a vampire, she only prolonged his deathbed. His fever spiked constantly, occasional groans providing the only signs of life as she watched him.
A week later, nothing had changed and she sat in her usual spot, eyes trained for any signs of distress. She wouldn't find any, as his heart had stopped an hour or two ago. IF she was going to lose him, she would know the minute she did. And when she heard the silence, she just knew. He was gone, and he wouldn't be coming back. But, after a week of caring for this stranger, her chest was filled with dread that it was over.
Except, he stirred. He sat up, he stretched. As shocked as she was, she found she couldn't move. When his voice filled the space between them, she opened her own mouth to reply but no words came out. So, she shut it and licked her lips. How do you explain to someone that they were dead? How do you tell a man that he was no longer a living breathing creature?
With no handbook for this and having never asked these delicate question of Pi and Elliot, she frowned and leaned forward, her elbows resting on her knees. She was silent for a good few minutes, letting her mind catch up to all that was happening around her.
"You have been unconscious for seven days...and yes, I brought you here." Her voice was soft, soothing. If she was going to tell him the truth, he needed to be calm in order to hear it.
