The Change From Jessamine to Sylvur
The Escape
Jessamine laid on her bed silently she turned and stared at the clock next to her. She stood up slowly and got out of the bed fully dressed with a black jacket underneath was a dark blue sweater, she also wore blue jeans and black converses. Jessamine slowly walked to her window grabbing her backpack she prepared the night before. She slowly and carefully open the window while looking at the door with fear of being caught by the old lady. Luckily for her the old lady was both deaf and deeply asleep. She grabbed the rope she made, tying one end to the handle tossing the rope over the window. Jessamine took a deep breath before climbing as carefully as she could. She slowly climbed down the rope before landing with a soft thud on the grass. She then ran away from the house as fast as she can.

She ran until she couldn’t run anymore. Jessamine gasped for breath bending over to catch her breath before looking around. She was still in Montreal. After she caught her breath Jessamine walked along the busy street that was surrounded by people who enjoyed the nightlife of Montreal. People were walking by her laughing and chatting with each other about how they are going to spend their night out. Jessamine had enough money to get on a bus somewhere however she decided she would save it for other things. All she knew was she had to get out of this city and fast.
One Week Later
Feeling fatigue, hungry and angry Jessamine approached a sign saying Harper Rock. Staring at the sign with an angry expression she shouted “WHAT KIND OF NAME IS THAT?!” Jessamine continued to walk down the path towards Harper Rock. Not only was she fatigue, hungry and angry she was emotional and wanted to give up living. However she did not let those thoughts come to her as she looked around her new surrounded with caution. Money, food, clothes and a shower were everything she needed so desperately. As she stood quietly she found a public bathroom not far from her.

Running over as fast as she could she reached the bathroom as she walked in it smelled like it never been cleaned? Shuddering with disgust Jessamine glanced at the mirror what looked back at her was a young woman of 21. That was not what freaked her out… What freaked her out was she looked like she has not ate for days, slept for days or showered for days. She looked like a homeless person, very filthy looking with dirt and other stains on her clothes. She also had dirt and mud all over her hair which stuck out from different directions. Jessamine began crying as she left the bathroom feeling angry at herself. While she was crying she appeared in the main city.
Her mind was not in the right place. She was desperate for food and money. Jessamine had a pocket knife in her pocket. Yes she will use this for her plan of getting money. Scanning the city from where she stood, she spot a man in a business suit that looked expensive. “He has money.” She whispered very softly. Jessamine walked very slowly giving a distance between her and the man talking loudly about selling his mansion on the phone with another person. She slowly followed him to the ally. She took out her knife and approached the man.

Unthinkable Act

What happened next was all a blur. Jessamine grabbed the man and turned him around forcefully slamming him against the wall she held her knife and pointed it at him. “Give me all your money.” She said calmly with a mad glint in her eye. “P…please don’t hurt me.” Whimpered the man “I…I have two children and a wife.” He says while fumbling around looking for his wallet while begging for the woman to spare his life. “HURRY UP AND GIVE ME YOUR WALLET!” She shouted getting impatient with him. Without thinking for a moment Jessamine stabbed the man in the chest before repeating stabbing him over and over. As the minutes go by she got tired and slowly stopped attacking at the corpse in front of her. Sighing as she dropped the knife on the ground with a thud. Staring blankly at what she done Jessamine slowly bend down and picked a wallet from the man’s pocket. She put it in her bag before she walked over to the other side. As she slid down and sat across from the corpse she began laughing like a woman who has not ate, slept, showered or lived among normal humans in a week.

Re: The Becoming (Sepsis ONLY)

Post by Sepsis »

Sepsis liked shiny things. Cars, jewels, city lights, and of course, the most rare of all...people. Humans fascinated her despite the fact she had been one herself not so very long ago. She was relatively young by vampyric standards, and her Death Day this year, would mark the fourth of this existence. How much she had changed, was deceiving to those who looked at her face. It was of course, the same as the day she died.

This evening found her doing what she loved to do best. People watch. Like over active bugs they were, hopping from one place to the next. Never looking past the end of their nose to actually see what was around them. Dressed as she was, in one her favourite goth dolly harajuku outfits, most tended to overlook her, mistakenly thinking her a teenager out to cause their mother trouble. Sepsis chuckled at the thought. Mother indeed. She had one chylder thus far that called her such, and in a way, she supposed she was. She did Make him after all.

Slipping from one shadow to the next Sepsis allowed herself to be dazzled by the city lights. The drug addicted infested alleys. The pimps selling their merchandise. The cops and their bribes. It was all so very beautiful to her.

Sylvur wrote:“He has money.”

The whisper came across to her loud and clear thanks to her vampyric hearing, and her head whipped around , searching out the voice. Something about it gave her a sense of desperation, and piqued her curiosity more than anything. Turning quickly into the alley she believed the voice had came from, she willed herself to be as silent as possible, passing from one shadow to the next as if she was a phantom.

Sylvur wrote:“Give me all your money.”

Oh yes, this was indeed the place to be.

Sepsis watched as what appeared to be a young woman in a rather dishevelled state, held out her blade, once again demanding cash. The well dressed man before her acted as most of the cattle would. With fear. Sepsis's lip curled as the man pleaded. In her eyes, it was better to fight and die, than beg. There was no honour in many of the 'men' these days.

Sylvur wrote:“HURRY UP AND GIVE ME YOUR WALLET!”

Sepsis loved this spirited woman-chylde already. She loved her even more as the woman plunged her knife again and again into the mans chest. Beautiful homicide. How pure the act was. How free from societal bonds. The vampyress slid closer, sticking to the close to the wall so as to not inadvertently frighten the girl.

She watched as the woman dropped the knife, and bent to pluck the wallet from the man's corpse, which had fallen in a heap on the filthy ground. "Not very cautious." Sepsis thought to herself, looking at the cast away knife. "They'll surely be able to track her down with it." Shaking her head, Sepsis watched as the woman-chylde stuffed the now dead man's wallet into her bag, and fell apart. She had seen others like this. She had been in this place herself.

The woman's laughter, which she perceived to sound hysterical, rang through the night like bells on a Christmas sleigh. "Oh, yes." Sepsis thought to herself. "This one's gone off the deep end." A grin broke out across the vapyresses face, and she moved without thought towards the woman.

"I am not here to hurt you." Sepsis cooed as she approached. "But, you do look like you could use some help." Sepsis maintained her smile as she stooped to pick up the cast away knife. Without thought, Sepsis licked the fresh blood from the blade, before tucking it carefully into one of her pockets. "You really shouldn't stay here, someone is bound to notice sooner or later."

Sepsis rocked slowly from the tips to the balls of her feet, tossing a glance over her shoulder to make sure they were still alone as she did. "Do you want to come with me?"

Holding out her hand, Sepsis waited for the woman's reply.

Sepsis wrote:"I am not here to hurt you." Sepsis cooed as she approached.
Jessamine spun around as she heard a voice. She thought the place was empty as she followed the man to the alley. She looked over at the other woman who approached her carefully. It caused her to be more fearful. She wanted to flee from the scene but something held her back and told her not to. "How did this woman magically appear from no where?" Jessamine thought to herself with such concentration as she looked. She laughed softly. "That is impossible, magic is not real, is it?" she thought.

Sepsis wrote:"But, you do look like you could use some help." Sepsis maintained her smile as she stooped to pick up the cast away knife. Without thought, Sepsis licked the fresh blood from the blade, before tucking it carefully into one of her pockets."
Snapping out of her thoughts she stared at the woman with shock. "Did this woman really offered her help?" she thought before watching the woman carefully. "Or is this a trap?" she kept her thoughts to herself. Jessamine watched the woman with interest. She gasped as the woman picked up the knife and licked the blood off it. "Is this woman part of the cult the old lady mentioned?" she thought quietly. Jessamine watched the woman put the knife in her pocked. "Grandmother mentioned groups of people who drank blood as part of a cult." She kept thinking while looking at the woman with a mixture of awe and fear.
Sepsis wrote:"You really shouldn't stay here, someone is bound to notice sooner or later.
Jessamine nodded as the woman spoke to her. "Yes, she had to get out of her before someone notice what she did." she said to herself. Jessamine began walking back and forth as a nervous habit she had. "What should I do? I never been here before. I have no idea how to escape." She thought as she continued to pace back and forth. Jessamine put her hands in her pockets to keep them warm. She was getting more and more nervous as she paced. "Perhaps I should have planned this more carefully?" she cursed herself.

She might know a safe place." Jessamine took the woman's hand carefully in hers. "Yes, I would come with you" she replied with a smile on face. Jessamine sighed with relief before waiting for the woman to guide her to safety. "The old lady was far away and most likely dead due to the poison she slipped in her food." She laughed quietly at the thought. "There was no way the old lady can find her anymore." She nodded while bouncing on her heels happily. "She was free for now."

Sepsis flashed a brilliant smile at the disheveled looking woman-chylde. So trusting some humans were. Luckily for this one, the pyress had no intent on causing her harm. Or at least, she had no intent on making this one dinner.

"She'll be just like you.." A unexpected, but not unknown voice whispered into her ear. Sepsis froze for a millisecond, and her eyes darted about, looking for the all too familiar shadow. "Not now." She hissed under her breath. "Leave me be." Wicked laughter seemed to echo in the vampyress's ears, and she snarled to herself before gathering her composure once again.

Holding the woman's hand, Sepsis led her away form the newly made corpse. The scent of death was already settling upon the man, and the pyress had no intention on being in a ten block radius of this area when the body was discovered if she could help it. Casting her gaze upon the small woman beside her, Sepsis noted that her handiwork was evident upon her clothing, and decided that the first thing to be done, was to offer the woman a place to wash, and fresh clothes to wear.

"I will take you to a safe place.." Sepsis spoke, trailing off as a police cruiser passed by the duo. She waited until the car turned the corner at the next block before continuing. "But I think we need to get there a bit quicker than feet will allow us. You have no qualms about borrowing a car, do you?" Sepsis chuckled to herself, not waiting for a reply. After witnessing what she had, Sepsis was positive that grand theft auto was the last thing on the small woman's thoughts. Releasing the woman's hand, Sepsis stepped out into the street, raising her arms as if needing help, in front of a lone vehicle coming their way. Sure enough, the vehicle stopped, and Sepsis approached.

"Get the fu..." Could be heard by the occupant only a moment before Sepsis thrust her hands through the vehicles open window, clasping them in a crushing grip around the drivers throat. A sickening snapping sound was heard next, and then...nothing. Smiling, the pyress opened the door, dumping the occupant on to the road before unlocking the passenger side door, and opening it.

"Come on, cowgirl." Sepsis giggled, feigning a southern accent. "The sherriff's on the way, and his posse's got guns!" Patting the seat, the pyress waited.

Snapping out of her trance Jessamine nodded and got into the car wondering how the woman got a car. She must have had it nearby Jessamine thought to herself before closing the door. "Thank you very much" Jessamine said to the woman with a smile. "Perhaps we could go somewhere safe" she said not aware of what the woman had sad before about going somewhere else. Jessamine leaned back against the seat and closed her eyes.

Jessamine opened her eyes and looked around she realised she was not in a car but in the shack that she grew up. "Dream" she thought. Jessamine watched the dream unfold. "YOU CAN'T EVEN DO ANYTHING RIGHT" Yelled the old lady to her younger self. "WHY DO I HAVE TO PUT UP WITH YOU?" she kept shouting. The old lady kept walking around the room as she glared at the younger Jessamine who stood in the middle of the room not moving. A knock on the door was heard between the two of them. "Go answer the door." the old lady said before sitting on the table "I'm a fragile old lady, do something useful lazy child." Younger Jessamine walked over to the door and opened carefully. A man stood at the door way and smiled at her. "May I come in?" he asked. Younger Jessamine stepped out of the way and let the man in. "Please lead me to where your grandmother is" he told her calmly. Jessamine walked towards the small kitchen. "Grandmother, we have a visitor" She said to her grandmother...

Waking up Jessamine looked out the car window before sighing quietly to herself "It was just a dream." she whispered very quietly before getting lost in her thoughts. "This woman is very different from other women." looking over at the woman who was sitting in the driver seat. Jessamine smiled over at the woman "Where are we heading?" She asked while holding her bag close to her. "Once again, thank you so much for helping me out." she said happily

The girl had fallen asleep almost as soon as Sepsis had started driving. Amazingly enough, she hadn't even seemed to notice the vehicles procurement...and people thought she walked around in a perpetual fog. No matter, the pyress had decided. The girl was probably in shock from her recent actions. Which was entirely understandable for a human.
Sylvur wrote:"It was just a dream."
The whisper brought Sepsis from her thoughts, and she inconspicuously glanced sidelong at the woman chylde, but remained silent.
Sylvur wrote:"Once again, thank you so much for helping me out." she said happily
Turning her head slightly, so that the young one could see her face, Sepsis smiled conspiratorially like. "You probably would have done the same for me." She replied, shrugging as she did. "Things happen, but there's no reason to lose ourselves over it." The pyress glanced in the rear view mirror, noting the empty street behind them before turning onto a less lighted road. "Your're lucky I found you first. Between the cops and the...other unsavoury creatures lurking Harper Rock, one might never know what would have happened." Pulling into what appeared to be an abandoned parking lot, Sepsis pulled into a parking spot near the back, and turned off the vehicle, leaving the keys in the ignition. "I'll just leave this here, and we can walk now, yes?" Not waiting for a reply, Sepsis opened the drivers door, slipping out quieter than a shadow.

"I have a safe place just a couple blocks from here. You can clean up there, and rest. I will ask one thing of you however." Sepsis paused, examining the young ones face to make sure she understood the question. "I do not want you to leave until we have spoken more. It is not safe, and I...must rest come dawn. Do you agree?" Thinking of the human she had enthralled she added, "I will have someone I trust come tend to your needs, if you'd like."

Watching with her dichromatic eyes reflecting what little light there was, the pyress waited for a reply.

Jessamine smiled happily as she nodded while listening to what the woman had to say. She was enjoying being near her and hopes she never has to leave her. She is a perfect lady. I hope I can get to know her better. Maybe she won't mind if I live with her for a while. I will help her clean and everything. she thought as she continued to listen calmly as she smiled with an occasional nod there and there. What kind of creatures are out there beside ugly creepy perverts and weirdoes? she thought still confused but she ignored her confusion anyways. She looked as the woman parked the car in a parking lot.
Sepsis wrote:"I'll just leave this here, and we can walk now, yes?"
Jessamine nodded If that is a good plan. she says as she got out of the car. Jessamine grabbed her bag and held it tightly against her. Than I shall follow you anywhere you go. Jessamine says happily before walking towards where the woman was standing.
Sepsis wrote:"I have a safe place just a couple blocks from here.
Jessamine nodded quietly as she listen calmly to the woman. She was happy she had a safe place for them to go to. She really needed to clean up, needed some good rest and lots of food also lots of water. She looked at the other woman with concentration. I understand that I am to stay in the safe place until you and I have spoken more. And that it is not safe. she repeated but she was confused Did the woman say she had to sleep when dawn comes or she is awake when dawn comes? she thought to herself unsure if she should ask her what she meant. I agree she replied calmly to the woman. Thank you very much Jessamine said once again before waiting for the woman to guide them to their destination. Not now... she whispers as she feels herself getting lost in the past...

The man walked over to the old lady and smiled gracefully at her. He was wearing an expensive suit that did not belong in a place like this. The man held the old lady's hand in his Dear lady thank you for inviting me over. He than looked over at me with a smile. You must be Jessamine and I believe you just turned 13. he said calmly You remembered! The old lady said while laughing. The man smiled before returning his gaze at the old lady. I have a request for you dear lady, I must borrow this young lady who is staring angrily at us he chuckled as he held the old lady's hand carefully and gently like if he was holding a fragile sick woman's hand Oh yes you can borrow her anytime! the old lady said with a kind smile before looking at me Stop that silly behavior and be polite to this kind mind. Do what he tells you to do! Don't make me punish you for not having any manners. The old lady returned and smiled gracefully at the man in front of them. Wonderful, absolutely wonderful. I will pay you a large sum of money everyday so you can live comfortably. He gave the old lady a gentle kiss on the cheek. We must get started now. He says letting go of grandmothers hand he then grabbed mine forcefully dragging me along with him.

I gasps softly as I snap back into reality while holding my bag very tightly as I look around nervously. Everything will be fine. This woman here will keep you safe. Nothing bad is going to happen to you. The man won't be able to find you. And the old lady is dead. She said calmly to herself as she waited for the woman to lead them to the safe place she had. She was tired of the flashbacks, tired of walking, tired of being hungry and tired of being tired. She sighed quietly.

Sepsis smiled broadly, casting a glance in the young woman's direction as she drove. So very polite she was. Someone had taken the time to teach her proper manners. It was refreshing. Reaching out to flick on the truck radio, she jabbed at the tuner until she found the local Harper Rock station. It did not take long for the supernatural to understand that there was more on the radio that met the human eye. Her Kind had permeated those hallowed halls of entertainment on more than one occasion, with amusing albeit dangerous complications. This evenings chatter was as expected, with news of the recent storms and quakes that had plagued the city. Newspaper stands all over heralded the same information, and there was nothing new to hear to her dismay.
Sylvur wrote:Not now...
Sepsis watched as the young once once again appeared to drift off into her own thought, her brows furrowing as she did. Whoever was responsible for the bruising of this woman-chylde's mind, had done a good job of it. Sepsis chewed her lower lip at the thought of this, and an unexpected flash of anger shot through her. Her own mind had been the subject of another's tampering before she had become what she was now. They had thought to 'cleanse' her of the gifts she had been given, but all they had done was cause her pain. She remembered the pain, and had vowed to disembowel all that had participated in the evil done to her, along with any who may be stupid enough to ever try it again. Although the chances of that realistically happening these days was slim to none. Just one of the perks of being what she now was. The pyress allowed herself a small smile at the thought, toying with the idea of what she would do should the opportunity ever arise.

A soft gasp from the young one beside her brought her from her thoughts, and Sepsis turned her head, studying the woman's face.
"I am called Sepsis, by the way." The pyress smiled warmly, wanting her passenger to remain at ease. "Or at least, it is the name I have chosen for myself. There are others, and were others once as well, but real names..." Sepsis drifted off, not finishing the sentence."Never mind that. We are almost to one of my homes. You will be safe there, and you can wash up and eat, and get some fresh clothes." Chuckling to herself, Sepsis realized she had recently taken up the habit of bringing 'strays' home. 'Strays', that certainly turned out to be more than just that. They were now her beloved Progeny. Each with their own special gift, and special madness. Looking once again at the disheveled woman-chylde beside her, Sepsis grinned, knowing the choice had already been made. Like a moth to a flame, they came to her. She would show this young one the way. Their fates would be intertwined for all time.

"I told you, she'll be just like you..." The voice slid across her mind like a hot knife, and Sepsis winced slightly as she saw a shadow like fog streak through the truck as it rolled down the road. An involuntary hiss escaped her lips, and she yanked the the trucks steering wheel a bit sharply, hopping the curb to enter the parking lot to her apartment building. She would have her newly acquired thrall move the truck later, so as to not have it discovered so very close to home, but for now, she wanted nothing more than the relative safety of her private domain. Wards against more than her Kind had been set there, and she did not want him to interfere right now.

Hopping out of the truck, the pyress walked to the front of it, motioning for the young woman to follow her. Leading the small woman through the front foyer to the elevator proved uneventful, and a few minutes later, Sepsis found herself unlocking her door, beckoning the young one inside. This particular home was her favourite. Floor to ceiling bookshelves, stuffed with books of all types and subjects-although heavily favouring the occult, surrounded the main room, and plush leather chairs and couches were seemingly casually strewn about. Tables laden with curious artifacts decorated the room, and the far wall contained a large built in salt water tank, with tiny schools of fish darting about. The dark wooden walls and floor made the room to appear as a curators treasure trove, and to her..it was comfortable, and perfect.

"The bathroom is just over there.." Sepsis pointed to a door across the room. "You'll find clean towels in the cupboard beside the sinks. There should be some clean track suits and under garments there as well. Toothbrush too." The pyress smiled, answering the usual next question before it could be asked. "It's the guest room, and I like to keep it stocked just in case. People are crazy these days!" Sepsis chuckled softly to herself.

"By the way.." Sepsis asked suddenly. "What's your name?"The pyress focused on her guest, watching with a curious expression upon her face.

Jessamine walked into the apartment following the woman as she did. She looked around the apartment with awe and smiled to herself as she spot the floor to celling bookshelves. Jessamine smiled happily when she spot the books. She loved to read books and could read them all day and night of she could. She continued to look around she noticed there were couches that looked very comfortable. Jessamine had to resist the urge to run over and fall asleep while sitting on the couch. Jessamine also spotted a salt water tank with fish in it. Jessamine walked over to the fish tank to look at the fish for a moment she then returned back to where she was. Jessamine liked where she was and felt very comfortable here.

Jessamine listened to Sepsis carefully. She held her bag tightly and smiled happily. Towels are in the cupboard beside the sinks. She whispered very quietly as she listen to Sepsis talk. Clean clothes and garments are also in the bathroom. she repeated very quietly as she listened. Toothbrushes too. she said happily to herself. Thank you so much for having toothbrushes! I have no toothbrush and need one badly. Jessamine thanked Sepsis happily and brightly. Once again, thank you so much for letting me stay here. It means a lot to me. Jessamine told the Sepsis happily before giving her a big hug. You are a wonderful kind lady. She said beaming at Sepsis. I shall go and take a shower now and return to you once I am finished Jessamine said as she started heading towards the bathroom.
Sepsis wrote:"By the way.." Sepsis asked suddenly. "What's your name?"The pyress focused on her guest, watching with a curious expression upon her face.
As she was walking towards the bathroom she heard the woman asked what her name was. Jessamine turned around and looked at Sepsis before smiling softly. My name is Sylvur. She told the Sepsis. No it is not Sylvur it's Jessamine you silly girl! She thought to herself. Jessamine smiled and looked at Sepsis. I will be right back I'm going to head to the showers She said as she continued to wallk towards the bathroom. She left her bag with Sepsis. Jessamine walks in the bathroom then closed the bathroom door carefully she walked over to the mirror and stared at herself. What was staring back was a girl who has not washed in days, a girl who is slowly going mad, a girl who was tired and hungry also desperate for an escape. Jessamine then looked at the burn scar on her cheek. It was given her as a mark that she belonged to someone. Jessamine headed to the shower she turned the water on very hot not caring if it was burning her. Jessamine closed her eyes feeling a flashback hits her.

Jessamine was being dragged by the man. She was scared unsure what to do as she was dragged along. Where are we going? She asked the man fearfully. Be quiet and don't say another word! The man said as he dragged her along with him. He then opened the door to his car pushing Jessamine inside. Put on the seatbelt. He said as he walked towards the driver's side getting in himself. Jessamine remained quiet during the drive. After a while the man finally stopped. He got out of the car and head towards her side of the car. Jessamine unbuckled her seatbelt quickly. The man opened the door and grabbed her arm dragging her out of the car. The man walked into a mansion dragging her along with him as he headed towards a room. The man pushed her into the room. Jessamine fell to the floor wincing painfully. You work for me now. You will do everything I tell you. Or there will be harsh punishments. Do you understand? The man spoke to Jessamine calmly. Jessamine nodded her head quickly.Yes I understand.

Jessamine gasped loudly before getting out of the shower. She dried herself quickly and got dressed quickly. Jessamine brushed her teeth and then she brushed her hair. She rubbed her eyes as she calmed herself down. Jessamine then walked towards the room where Sepsis was. Jessamine looked at Sepsis with a sad, fearful smile before whispering softly. Thank you very much for letting me use your bathroom and spare clothes. You truly are a wonderful lady. Jessamine stood there quietly.

"Sylvur"The pyress murmured under her breath as the girl showered. It was a beautiful name for the golden haired girl. Sepsis knew it was not the woman's real name, but who was she to judge. "We are who we make ourselves." She nodded resolutely to herself. Sepsis watched the door, reflecting on the actions of the woman-chylde just beyond. If she was right, that was the young ones first kill. "To have been privileged to see it was a beautiful thing...to witness the crossing of the line. To glimpse what's beyond the mirror..." The pyress thought to herself. Sepsis allowed a small smile to cross her lips, truly pleased to have been part of such a life altering moment in time.
Sylvur wrote:Thank you very much for letting me use your bathroom and spare clothes. You truly are a wonderful lady.
She had not noticed the girl until she was standing before her...lost in her own thoughts she had been. Sepsis raised her eyes, noting what appeared to be apprehension upon the woman's face. Rising, she took Sylvur's hand, guiding her to sit on the soft leather couch before retaking her own seat. There was no sense in delaying what was to come, but she was not without manners, and would have this young one know her fate, whether she agreed with it or not. Sitting back, Sepsis turned her head, looking into the woman's blue grey eyes, and spoke.

"I know not of where you came, or what led you to your..deeds this evening." Sepsis flashed Sylvur a brilliant smile, and nodded her head in appreciation. "But, I am glad that I could be there to help you...leave safely." The pyress studied the woman's face a moment before continuing. "I feel however, that it would be remiss of me to allow you wander without..proper guidance." She paused briefly to allow a giggle to escape. "With this...I going help." Studying the woman-chylde's face as she continued, Sepsis allowed herself to 'see' what Sylvur would be after the Change.

Eternally perfect.

"I am going to make you something...more than you are now. Saying no won't help. Begging me not to won't help. Nothing you do will stop me. I am not cruel, but I will not leave this choice for you to make." Sepsis reached for the young ones hand, taking it in her own before given the chance to pull away. "I saw you this evening. I saw who you are even if you don't know it yet yourself. A beautiful creature of my own Making." Lifting her free hand, she fingered a lock of Sylvur's hair before brushing the back of her hand softly against the woman's cheek.

Allowing the warm scent of Sylvur's blood to call to her, Sepsis felt her fangs extend into the perfect small pointed weapons that they were. Looking directly into the woman-chylde's eyes so that they were clearly visible, the pyress continued. "You are going to die, my dear. But what only mortal death. Then...you'll be with me forever."

Quicker than any human reflexes could react, Sepsis moved, sinking her fangs deep into Sylvur's throat. She was careful not to tear the woman's skin, but she had not fed this evening, leaving her with a slight gnawing sense of hunger. Stopping before she took too much, she withdrew, using one of her pointed teeth to puncture her thumb, sealing the wounds on Sylvur's with her blood before her own skin healed itself. Biting into her wrist, Sepsis brought it to the woman-chylde's lips, giving her no option but to consume the thick blood.

"That's right...step one." The voice slid across Sepsis's mind like a hot knife, and she winced, forcing herself to stay in place so the first exchange would be complete. "Not now..." She pleaded under her breath...
