Curious, there is fail, and there is fail that makes the weapon reduce by 1. What stat/attribute stops that 1 reduction when you fail? Cause I don't mind failing, but DAMN it pisses in my cornflakes when it reduces the part by 1 >.>

That's a flat calculation - basically, it rolls on success/failure. If fail, then it rolls 50/50 to determine breakage :(

50/50? For real? That's balls >.> I mean, why have 20 crafting if you can't reduce that 50/50?

Couldn't higher skill or higher dexterity stop it from nerfing the weapons part? *cries*

the higher crafting keeps you from failing in the first place.....the 50/50 is just what your fail did, either you didnt make it any better, or you made it worse.

Didn't David say somewhere that he was planning a relic of some kind for weapon crafting or was that just my wishful thinking?

because really a relic to remove that 50/50 would be nice.

Well, his stats aren't maximum for the job, but he gets a 72% failure rate on quality 13 parts, trying to improve to 14. I have a system based on the law of averages that seems to work for me, but it still takes a couple of days just to get 1 quality 14 part.

There will be relics to further improve weapon crafting, yes.

Not for guns, but weapon parts. Has anybody managed to find any sword blades/blunt heads over quality 10 on the ground yet? I never seem to manage and my 10 to 11 improvements come with a 62% fail chance right now so it's got me wondering if I'm just looking in the wrong place (catacombs) or if they just... Don't exist.
