The pictures, are of the work of one Pyper. Officially hired at Happy Tree Taxidermy, by the owner Roderic Altaire. This portfolio is to illustrate the technique, and improvements of past projects.

A present for Phoenix Altaire. The cage, was found in the asylum. It had to be cleaned off. Rust is authentic. Metal was collected from buildings that weren't used. Pliers, to twist the metal to look like ribbons. Sixteen birds collected. Sprayed with red, orange and purple for coloring purposes.
Vertical incision, from the breast of each, down. Peel back skin, detach skin. Take out all flesh and fat. Thoroughly clean the outside, and inside. Tiny wired threads wrap around bones, to keep birds in fixed positions. Sew back together splits. Adjust the feathers to show minimal stitching work.
The project took three days, collectively.

A present for Roderic Altaire. Wolf was found, after hunting in the woods. Vertical incision from throat to tail. Cut into the legs, from pads, until met back at the center. Remove muscles from legs, cut foot at the ankle. Clean out the body. Difficulty when approaching the head. Lips, eyes and ears needed more caution and precision. Have to sever the head. Fold back the skin over the skull. It makes it easier to remove it from the scalp. Ear cartilage will stop progression, cut it from the inside.
Ear needs to be turned inside out, flesh removed from base of cartilage. Lips cut close to the skull to leave attached. Feathers were collected. Attached with raw hides.

Collection period was three days. Mixture of Mooncalf and rat bones. Other bones, too. All varied in size, and structure. Good for improvisation, and to accommodate shape, and sound quality.
Thorough skinning, cleaning. Boiled twice for precaution. Preservatives used to encase bones for longevity.
Nub fixtures to place strings. Fortifying adhesive found in shop to solidify tiny bones to stay in place.
