Any powers can be used. The goal was to help underline the difficulties each character, faced by the daunting curse of their path, has been able to live. Along with some fun good stuff. As Alexandrea's player had stated earlier about the heightened senses of the Allurists, but also being able to partake in their food of choice. Gaining new powers and being able to come to understand them is growth for the character, such growth would help them to eventually be able to understand themselves.

Kira wrote:It says path, so I'm thinking it means the flaws of the path. The only exception would be those who have pathfinder, I guess. Which Kira doesn't have problems of an allurist unless her heart is stabbed/shot. Otherwise she's more killer like. I don't think I can write anything related to that. Now curses, I can write quite a bit for that.
If you had Pathfinder, you should be able to write for parts of the Killer as well as your character has began to take on the things of that path.

Anyone got suggestions for a pure, unclassed, human that might want to tackle this given they don't actually have a path?

Maybe write about the difficulties/positives of being a human in a vampire society?
><

It's a good, valid question.

For unclassed humans, as much as I hate to use the term here, any of the generic differences will work. To name one good bad and one bad: Inferior strength to that of vampires or classed humans. There is also the ability, I guess you could call it, to not be so weak in daylight hours and also being able to adapt at night.

Entry finished

http://www.mooncalfstudios.com/pathofth ... 64&t=22951

Summation: Three small moments which could have been part of a larger story pointing out 3 plus and negatives along with an interlude and end cap supporting the concept.

In this effort, I chose a more realistic approach. Problems solved does not equal happily ever after in some cases. The ability to communicate with others solved? Not perfectly and not enough to put those outside of the vampire world in their proper places. In real life I have observed people acting the way the customer does in the first entry. This lead to pride and anger (two points that have always been part of Zo's backstory) and shows those things still have not found the proper fix.

Next came confidence/paranoia and fear. Again, in irony, Zodiac could confront things now that would send most people running for the hills, yet the ghosts of past experiences still caused her to run from something far easier to dispose of than a fadebeast. Confidence gained in some ways, yet denied still in others. This entry linked directly into the third aspect of substance abuse and possible madness. Free of something that in time would damage her, yet the reasons why she drank were still a part of her. The answer for her nightmares was deceptively simple and nothing that came from being a vampire, yet nature abhors a vacuum and with one thing put into its proper place at last, new things begin to creep in.

Interlude showed her resentment to being trapped within HR and the end cap showing an outside view of someone still wrestling with major issues, yet her outer display such a perfect illusion to the contrary.

Bottom line, some things were fixed, some were not. Not even turning into a vampire fixes everything.
In this, that is a very real answer to what was asked for in this project.

Thank you

Thread: A touch of the green eyed monster

Shadow/Vampires, the benefits and flaws according to Keara

Benefits
1 - Vampires live a long time, and gain a certain amount of wisdom. This can allow them a different kid of perspective to the fledglings of the new world.
2 - Resting in the darkness makes vampires feel stronger. As a shadow, she feels connected to the darkness, so that's very natural to her.
3 - Black blood. Since it disperses or fades into the atmosphere, it doesn't leave behind any evidence that a vampire was there. In death too, they don't leave behind a body. Keara likes this particular trait as it makes shadows different from any other path.

Flaws
1 - Shadows are loners. Keara thought this was true until she met Enver. it was his love and attention that helped her overcome her "nature".
2 - Black blood. If seen by humans, it gives away the fact that they aren't human. Or at the very least that there is something seriously wrong with them. Covering the wound, so that it cannot be seen helps to hide this.
3 - Shadows cast no shadow. They have to concentrate and actually control the projection of their own shadows, which means mistakes can be made. Keara has trouble doing them when tired or feeling stressed.

Allurist/Vampires, the benefits and flaws according to Enver

Benefits
1 - Being able to eat: Helps an Allurist blend in with humans. Being mistaken/confused for a human keeps suspicious eyes off the vampire in question.
2 - Persuasive: This ties in with Allurists naturally higher stat allotment. Being persuasive and charismatic helps an allurist sway things in their favor
3 - Bewitch Human: Can be the vampire's eyes and ears during daylight hours. Or when the vampire doesn't want people to know they are watching him/her.

Flaws
1 - Humanity: Allurists are naturally closest to the forms they used to be; humans. Enver especially has a hard time overcoming the fact he is a vampire and not a human anymore. This is a benefit as much as it is a flaw because he can't pass off for being human anymore and at times refuses to adapt to life as a vampire. Which causes a lot of issues with his 'family,' and more specifically his wife.
2 - Overly emotional: Causes issues with those close to the Allurist at times. Especially if those emotions have that Allurist acting out physically, as vampires are naturally stronger/faster than humans. His emotional ties to Keara make him often over-react in an unhealthy manner.
3 - Skeletal reflection: If others see the reflection, it's obviously not normal and you really can't pawn it off as some mistaken glimpse of something that wasn't really there.

The RPP prizes are self evident due to the fact only one of each type of thread was completed.

The grand prize of 10 karma (drawn by Shamus using an online dice roller) goes to Zodiac.

Congrats Zodiac!

Note: All prizes have been awarded.
