I'll take part in some way, at least to bid. I'm sure you'll have plenty of signups and I think it's awesome that TFF may benefit in some way from this. :)

It's all good, some people will participate, some people won't, whether IC or OOC. That's all good. I know this is an inclusive and collaborative RP community and it's about encouraging RP, so whatever fits your character best is what I encourage people do.

I think for the last comp I ran people just threw 90K at me to splash around in prizes just for the hell of it. To be fair, that was wholly ooc.

I figure, at least this time, people get to have some of it back themselves, get to RP, get potential spot prizes and hopefully have fun. That's the name of the game.

I'm pretty sure Amara put the other 50 percent back in to the special earnings.
I believe one of mine (Enver or Liz) was pretty helpful with auctions when she did it, and thought that was what she decided.

Yeah, when Amara ran it, 'to the house' meant back into prizes for other competitions ran throughout the year.

Yes, you're all correct. That's what Ashley did with the funds. Ooc they were used to fund RP Comps. Ooc, these funds are going to fund other things generally along the same lines, and not just be pocketed by Pi to fund more relics.

But the key is, those things that will be funded could be RP comps, could be Chat comps, could be helping buying weapons for new charries, could be other stuffs and Im not going to take too much notice of what goes where. And some of the funds will be ooc chat comps and IC through Pi's work with TFF and just a host of stuffs.

I have actively self funded a lot of the chat comps over the last three years with Pi's bank balance, ultimately it's a matter of faith ooc, (since this seems more an ooc point than an IC one) that the funds are generally going to be used for player based stuffs, as they have done in the past.

The only difference really, between what Ashley did, and what I'm doing, is that you'll realise 25% of that return immediately with the spot prizes and the rest will trickle out as I move other stuff through either ooc
competitions or ic channels through... unknown stuffs to do with TFF etc.

My character's involvement with some of the funds distribution will be IC through whatever Pi's going to get up to, to help the vampires of Harper Rock. Because to help newbies, it's a rather weird hybrid of both IC character involvement, and ooc mechanics help too (as discussed on the TFF board)

I didn't really address IC concerns in my reply, mainly because the points raised were all ooc questions about usage.

You can totally put in her auction card "no smexy times" then Windy won't have to shoot anyone :)
