Source Codes + Team Raid

Yep, Sunny could often be found in TR's reaping codes, to be honest I don't see why it would be a problem to do so. It really isn't that more code-filled than doing Sabo hacks, the advantage is just that it's more convienent; same 20 exp per hack and average 1-2 codes per hack. When Sun was in the SR she got just as many codes doing Sabo hacks, even with the Telepath SR penalty as she does in TR's and found a lot more hacking raids.

It is odd that this last raid was so lacking in codes, though, considering that David, obviously hadn't changed anything, YET.

I agree. It's not something I want to see nerfed even if I don't hack (and none of mine do in team raids) It's like sitting at the B&E after the raid is over and doing it over and over for exp. That doesn't harm anyone. The loot is yuck but love that exp with no risk and no moving.

i dont hack solely for codes, i am our teams hacker, and they were a bonus. with 8-9 file nodes, there was usually one per hack

last raid there were 0 in the 32 file nodes i went thru opening doors

I don't even have a team, I can't do anything in the raids except hack and fight. I have only just now found out about this little tip on the very raid where it stopped. Lucky me... right? The second time in a team raid and yet again it was a total waste of energy lol

I was hacking to pass the time while waiting to see if anyone would answer my call about needing a hacker for their team. No one answered but I thought the codes would at least make up for it a little.

This. Zodiac is usually the main ritualist and the back up hacker on her team. B&E is outside her skill sets and past a certain level, using her to search for a key causes her damage and/or raises the security level of the floor (getting wounds that effect your ability to do the ritual and loosing 14 energy if the bad guy wins just plain sucks), so she passes the time picking up a few bonus codes and files. (or as I tell Alex IC 'she's sitting in the corner knitting the cat a new sweater' or something bizarre like that.) I honestly don't think anyone gets on a team just to farm for codes. It's just a perk of the entire process.

So why are people hacking in team raids to get source codes instead of just sabotage hacks?

Because a sabotage hack has a maximum of 3 file nodes. A team raid hack has a set amount of ..9? If I'm remembering their locations in my head correctly.

I don't know about you but I have a better chance of finding more files that are overall worth more money in a team raid network (regardless of the fact if there are source codes or not) than what I'm finding in a sabotage hack.
