Your favourite kind of RP
Hi guys
I've been wondering, what kind of RP plot lines do you like the best?
Vote on your favourite and comment. You can say what you like and dislike about each type of plot, you can even add some new ones that weren't in the original poll. Choose as many options as you'd like.
Let's start up a nice discussion. ^^

Sorry, I wanted to add two more things: Collaborative and Competitive.
And when you say action, what do you mean precisely?

Re: Your favourite kind of RP
I picked almost everything except meet & greet, socializing and campaign. Mostly because Mads an antisocial ***** and writing her in social situations gets annoying. I also wasn't quite sure what was meant by campaign.

Re: Your favourite kind of RP
For me for plotting an RP.. Collaborative & Character development - Those I plot extensively; they are never quick plots; they are in depth and always collaborative. They take so long that many times the plots have to change because other things happen; just like in life.
I do not plot a 'meet and greet' or 'socializing'. I like those to happen in the moment. it makes for more realistic reaction for my characters. Like Madison Mun said.. Doc is anti-social compared to most.. except Madison has him beat. He is trying to be more social. I use the live group meetings that The Metronome hosts usually to develop that part of him (props to Crissy mun).
I have rp'd campaigns.. but its hard to plot (like I personally like to) when there is a GM that throws things out of left field.
Competitive and PVM, PVP Battle - I see that as all the same - there is no reason to plot it - because I want to do the grid action first and then I rp the results. So not real plotting needed.
For skill based, I usually build that into character development plots.. it is usually a small part of the rp, so I have never done a stand alone plot for skill based. Unless you count, Doc's internal ire at not having a Human thrall, and wanting one really really bad. That usually comes out in every other thread he is in.. so depending on how you view it.. it could be a plot or not.
Hope my views help in what you were looking for.

Re: Your favourite kind of RP
I picked just character development.
Character development can envelope all things, anyway - it can happen via player vs player battles or via raids or whatever.
I think some people find it weird how I deliberately try to get some kind of drama on my characters. If people are always getting along it gets really boring after a while. Especially in relationships - there have got to be some arguments and some hurdles to make it all a little more fun. XD
Though of course in order to do so, I have to find other writers who are happy to write said drama - if they take it too personally OOC, then it's not worth it. -nods-

Happy endings ane BORING, lol. ;) And so is someone who is 'right' all the time. It's way more fun to milk the screw ups than to write about always getting things to go your charries way.
