While new lairs might be a temporary fix to that problem, addressing it on a broader level would lead to more donations. i.e. figure out why people stopped donating and fix it/adjust.

Count me in for Shadow realm lairs!!! I'd love for them to move around, hard to find for others or a portal/summon only way of getting into your SR home; except if you are 'dead'. No access to the dead. I love the original idea of them requiring B/W decor due to the nature of the realm.

A thought to ponder, we do have apartments, dwellings, shops, large estates in private territories (like cedar court, trailer parks). I can see the need for more of these after beta because eventually, like us, the newbies will want a piece of their own land too.

Other ideas:
- Part time residence. Like university dorms for $3-5 Karma a month for a 2 room place.
- Avatar Clothing
- Naming vehicle or Change Model (kinda like the custom weapon option)
- New vehicle; golf cart - drives slower then regular vehicles (ex: cheaper than a car + smaller gas tank :P )
- NPC Security guards for businesses or bouncers at bars. [They would have to be super strong for someone to kill off in order to disable cameras or alarms? Like a mini game]
- Remove someone from an invite list (I know there's a rit for it, but it was a thought)
- Clear a bounty above X# of violations, allowed once every 6 months for 10 Karma?
- New Community; Golf course territory? with luxury homes.
- Own public park (4 square area-literally)
- Rent public park ground for $1-5 Karma w/ RP chat space (includes: invite list for private party & no grid attacks (rp is fine); Someone would have to call a park commissioner(or reserve the space on crownet appointment list) to rent the space for use for an exact date and period of time ahead of time.
- Street names! "Buy a Road" or "Park or Bridge" for Karma?? sounds fun. [would drive map folks nuts though]
- Ski lodges! - It does snow in Canada. ;)

I completely agree, but it's not as simple as that. I know why people are paying for less karma, and it's not something that can be fixed so quickly, unless I was willing to work day and night with no sleep for 3 months. So in the mean time, I can either work much less on Path, or keep the karma-available lairs coming. The ultimate goal is of course to finish with beta within about a month if possible, and then start advertising, which solves a ton of problems. But that's definitely not simple, either.

Some really cool ideas here, so thanks.

We have to balance our time between most wanted updates, and updates that will bring in business. It's much better right now to get to a stage where we can bring in new blood, instead of devoting too much time to karma-based ideas. We have a small community at the moment, and there's only so much a small community should be expected to buy, or will realistically pay for. Lairs are quite quick to make, and keep the karma coming just enough to make our work worth our time.

But yeah, basically we want to finish with beta in a month, start advertising, and then I can work on programming the complex roleplay-based quest system that I've been mulling over for months. Once those things are all done, I think Path will be fine. :) It's just a ton of hard work until we get there.

A Trailer Lot that has several squares, like a mini farm, so there is an outside & an inside. In my opinion, it's not a genuine "Trailer Park" unless there are pink flamingo's & muscle cars up on blocks in the front yard. 1 for the 10 sq trailer interior & 2 outside squares? That seems like it might work and not cost a bunch of karma. 20-25 karma would be cool. I think the other ones cost 15 karma, if memory serves me.

  • I like the idea of "rental" properties, Caves and the SR lairs, also at some point.
  • Additional business locations with different configurations than the market or mall vibe.
  • Stuff that isn't property for karma. Pets to place in a property that are like NPC's. Like the "Bunny" you made for Michelle & I, but have it so it can be moved.
  • Optional Re-spawning Humans for your property for karma.
  • Security systems
  • Mining options that may or may not payout.
  • Ready made interior decor for those that want furnished properties without having to wait or spend a bunch of karma. Have maybe 5 different ones to choose from.
  • Alternative Transportation options. Bicycles, Skateboards, Snowmobiles, Pickup trucks, etc.

Oh wow... Bikes man. Portland would have my arse if the town found out I didn't second the motion on that one! :))

furnished places would rock but should cost extra for sure.. I like ALL those ideas and Tempy's and still like my own of a small garden plot to add to owned places. :D lol

Awhile back, I proposed an object that you could drop in a square that would prevent anything from spawning in it for the purpose of being able to hide secret passages/otherwise untiled squares in otherwise public areas. It was somewhat popular on the Suggestions board.

I'd drop karma on that. Maybe 1 or 2 karma per square.
