Not really.
Someone's perception could be that Madison appears to be a tranny or masculine in features.
Just like someone could have the opinion liz looks, dresses and acts like a slut.
It's just an opinion of a character.

I write Nix as skeletal and emaciated. People have written their perception of her as beautiful. That's a positive change, but it's still different than my description of her, but it's their characters' perception. That isn't godmodding, it's perception. If someone perceives Nix as having a certain quality, that does not mean she has it. It's their perception, nothing more, nothing less.

I can't reply to your PM for some reason, Madison. I am sorry. I don't know if it's a bug or if my internet here is acting up, but since my response to your PM is relevant here now you have brought it up, I will simply go ahead and respond.

Narrative descriptions aren't necessarily God-Modding either because it depends largely on the style of the writing.

I've just completed a course on Creative and Professional Writing. I'm not saying this because that somehow now makes me an expert, I'm merely stating that having completed a 3 year degree on the matter, I'm far more aware of things now than I used to be. Thus, I'm likely to disagree on the matter.

I could direct your attention to 'free indirect style'. The story is written in third person, but has the essence of first person and therefore is not necessarily from the narrator.

If you're talking directly about what CC's writing style is like, I would say Jen uses a lot of this kind of writing style for CC. Whereas she might not do so for her other characters. It seems obvious to me that CC's personality is so strong she influences the prose, creating, as you would, free indirect styling.

Difference of opinion.

The whole tranny thing was actually started ooc in regards to Madison's former model, which is why I changed her.

I'm wholly against using a person's chosen model as an exact representation.

I let people know then that I didn't appreciate the correlation between attributes of the model being given to the character.

Months later it's now used ic by some of the same people.

That's all I have to say and some are going to twist my words however they see fit.

I didn't even realize you changed her model tbh. Or have heard that people called her a tranny months ago.

Not that ANY of my characters have referred to Madison as a tranny, I'm just stating that people might not have known you changed your model, or had even heard that stuff oocly.
I sure didn't.

I'm not sure I see the problem. If people though the description of the character Madison was 'tranny-like' (or whatever), why would a model change make the description of the character any different? Or any less tranny-like?

Well, I admittedly don't read your rps, but Nix's impression of Madison is more along the lines of angry butch lesbian (Nix's opinion, not mine). That has nothing to do with the model and everything to do with Madison's attitude on crownet. The tranny thing may very well have started as a model thing, but what if it has nothing to do with that, now? I also wasn't aware of the original all issue by the way, so this all seems really unnecessary to me - let the IC stay IC and if you're not comfortable with the wording, ignore it.
