A curious question

Post by Chaindog »

I know as vampire we cant eat as it does not agree with us. But...What about when we are in Meaner Things (animal form)? How would that affect us? Thoughts please.

And I, I do not dare deny the basic beast inside
It's right here, it's controlling my mind
And why do I deserve to die?
I'm dominated by this animal that's locked up inside

That is a very good question. I would love to see others views on this. I will be honest, I am waffling .. I could argue for yes they can eat.. and I can argue for no they cant..

I'd say they'd be able to consume food the same as they would in normal form. They don't really turn into animals, physically, it's more of a 'spiritual' process, since they're still recognizable as vampires to other vampires.

At least that's how I've understood it.

That's a good question. How much of the animal form comes into play when in use? I can't see someone who has adopted a herbivore form suddenly biting a human's neck. Kinda takes the whole purpose of the disguise and tosses it in the trash in my view. Also, how much intelligence comes into play? I mean, example: a meaner things wolf obviously can't speak as a human does, but if they were telepathic could they still communicate in such a fashion?
Some day I'm gonna be happy. I don't know when just now

I don't think that holds true. It's true on grid, but as far as I'm aware - not in RP.

I've certainly seen that done in RP before, and would make sense that they could.

A vampire shifted into a wolf is still a vampire with the use of all their other abilities. It's fundamentally the same mind and spirits, just with a slightly different outer shell. They don't take on the mindset of the animal, necessarily, because it's not really a physical shift. I'm trying to find the post where David explained it but it's... not happening.

Yeah, David answered it in the questions thread at some point.

Lol.

Is that yes to - Would vampires while in 'meaner things' forms, be aware of each other?

Or yes to - Or would they think that each is just a real animal?
