Serenity seemed quick to realise that Lorelai was in need of some sort of comfort, but whether or not she should go with the woman to her home was a question she really had no answer to; only a few weeks previous she would have happily followed (as naïve as she was) only dating CC was starting to change her.

"The cafe sounds nice," she mumbled, her words possibly going unheard as Serenity was addressing the old woman in an unfamiliar language.

It all happened very quickly; one minute the woman was there, the next she was gone. Lorelai wasn't sure what had happened and began to wonder if the woman had been a vampire, as she knew they moved quickly. That thought didn't linger long however, as she soon recalled the fact that she'd passed through her as if she wasn't even there. She was still learning about vampires and that was a power she had never heard of, though it wasn't out of the realm of possibility that he creatures could perform some sort of glamour or astral projection.

"Sent her to her afterlife?" she parroted back in a whisper.

Lorelai was confused and the emotion shone clearly on her face.

Did she just kill the woman?

Lorelai's eyes widened at this thought and she glanced from the space where the old woman had been back to Serenity.

"What did you do? Did you kill her? How could you do that? Why did you do that? She wasn't harming anyone. She seemed... nice."

Lorelai looked horror struck. Serenity's words seemed to have fallen upon deaf ears as the human could make little sense of them. There had been no mention of spirits or ghosts, or anything else to label what it was the woman had been. Her instincts were telling her to run away, that this woman was dangerous and yet her feet did not obey. Lorelai was perhaps a little too calm for her own good, and true to her nature, she stood her ground, unwilling to run from a situation that could quite easily bring about her own death.
