Suggestions Mod
As seen here.
I think this is a great idea, I also think there are a few other things that could help consolidate the task and make it a little easier.
Polls should only have 'yes' or 'no' or 'discuss' answers in my opinion. Yes the things people come up with are funny, but completely unnecessary to the overall process of casting a vote. Also, I think polls should have a mandatory 1 week time limit implemented. This way, votes are cast, tabulated and the results are taken (or not) to the David and Natasha in a timely manner. Same thing with the discussions. For the duration of the poll the discussion remains open and after that, every thing is reviewed and taken (or not) to David and Natasha.

Re: Suggestions Mod
I also like the idea, plus the suggestions above and would also suggest that polls allow revoting, for those times when a discussion thread sway people's opinions.
There are suggestions in the archive forum that are still good ideas that never got any replies.

About 90% - or more - of the suggestions never get any replies to them.

Re: Suggestions Mod
If someone was to be made a suggestions's mod, perhaps if they could just post to each suggestion, as they read it, with "seen". I think that would help a lot with the thought that perhaps ideas are being ignored?
Also a SM (yes I went there, lol) could maybe post once or twice a month with a list of suggestions that had been reviewed and simply say that a list of suggestions had been sent to the developers. Not having to even name which ideas were picked or why so there isn't conflict.
Yes, I know. some people will feel like they may have had an idea tossed aside unfairly but I don't think we should automatically presume that the worst is always going to happen. The best way to find open minds, is to have one.
Edited for typo >.<

Sounds like a plan for me... and I voted yes to the idea.Alexandrea wrote:If someone was to be made a suggestions's mod, perhaps if they could just post to each suggestion, as they read it, with "seen". I think that would help a lot with the thought that perhaps ideas are being ignored?

Re: Suggestions Mod
Sounds like double handling to me. But could be the suggestions page could have codes like the bugs page does?
Help Natasha and David know what is what, and maybe even put like suggestions together?

Re: Suggestions Mod
All suggestions get seen. The only ones that get replies are usually the ones that have a flat out no for a very good reason.
But having said that, I do think a suggestions mod is a good idea. I'll talk to Natasha and see what she thinks.

Re: Suggestions Mod
Yeaaah, I mean, Natasha is a fiend. What I meant by double handling is she'll probably have seen the suggestion and already made notes somewhere about it long before a Suggestion Mod can get to it to collate and send it on.
The codes would work to tell people a Mod has viewed it, cataloged it for David & Natasha. I even think the idea about posting in the suggestion thread that someone has read it is also good (but the codes would do the same thing I guess).
I love my pickles options and I put that there for people who could give a **** and only vote to click a button. Got to have something for the ambivalence ones too. Because that, in its way, is also a vote.
