RP Comp
Now that RPP is given in Around the City forums (not as much, but meh meh better than nothing I say). I'm going to fund an RP competition in the Lancaster's subforum. To be clear this isn't a mod comp (that's the ooc chat one). But a rather single minded bid to drum up RP for Pi, for Lancaster's and to reinvigorate a bit of random storylines while giving stuff away.
Each portion of the RP competition has parts, and each part will earn you points, each point you earn the more chances you have to get your name in the prize pool!
Prizes up from grabs
10x 10,000 IGC
2x 10 karma
2x 5 karma
3x Faeshards of Onus
And I'll add more as they come up. This is a self funded competition so I have to rummage around in Pi's Inventory to see what else I can pull out. Maybe some booby prizes too. Who knows. We'll see.
Rules:
- Max, three players per RP/Forum thread.
- Minimum posts for thread to be counted for points three (three posts per one player)
- Minimum words per post = 300
- Any RP, for any reason, as long as it's based at Lancaster's and is posted in Around the City/Lancasters Subforum
- Maybe it's a drink you'll be having in the Irish Pub
- Maybe you've come to check out the new Backpackers on F2?
- Maybe you've come to hear Elliot sing or something. Anything.
- I'm not picky, but I think it's time to get Lancaster's back out there and have Pi ... and Elliot. Do stuff at their bar.
Comp ends 30 July (yes, a long time but it's about fun, not stressing deadlines.
Elliot and Pi can be invited to join if you want one of the owners to join the RP. (we're happy to get out there - I haven't actually asked Chloe, but I'm pretty sure she'll be happy if you ask)
How to earn points:
- Five point for starting a thread (each RPer)
- Two points per post
- Two additional points if your RP posts are Lancasters Location based chat logs (and I can totally check so no Y!M RP please) (per RPer/per Post)
- Two points if you invite Pi or Elliot into the RP
- One point to the RPer if their character mentions the backpackers on F2 (one only per RP)
- One point each if you have your character interact with the items located somewhere in the bar (ATM/Shop/Bank,Dog/Plushies - whatever) - not all of them are listed here, you'll have to find them for yourself
Five points = 1 chance to win (so if you earn 16 points you gain four points to win)
ALL prizes will be given away, so if only three people join, then three people are going to be the total pool of names in the prize pool to win ALL the prizes offered. (which sorta makes you hope not many join, but certainly gives those that do, the opportunity to win ... lots)
Yes, this is a flagrant campaign, but that's okay. It's self funded so I have no guilt at all about it :) Comp to spark some life back into my character's business interests = worth it.
