I agree on all points.Jonah wrote:I honestly dislike the idea of the game's code keeping us from being able to do something in an area from an rp perspective. These neutral grounds are neutral grounds not because it's impossible to hurt each other there but because the community bands together and messes you up if you decide to break the rules. Coding it so it's impossible to do things in these areas eliminates a lot of rp potential and will be, in my opinion, boring.
I do like the idea of casting the ritual on it regularly because then its the community banding together to do it.

Since there's nothing on the Necro board, and Nothing on grid, and Nothing was said to the staff that I'm aware of, I stand by my statement. The Necro sits there with patrons who use its amenities but does nothing more. At this point imo, even without putting it up for this poll, the Necro's the most neutral it's ever been, because it has no one running or doing anything with it. Amara doesn't kick out offenders or hunters or humans alike, because she isn't around, and no one else does either because at the time we did do things like that it was because we were trying to keep a balance instead of simply letting it be.
Unless your point was its being run in RP, so we shouldn't have it there, in which I'm actually inclined to agree. Because, quite frankly, I don't even want it in a building that someones going to try to have a power trip with over a community project. That was kinda the reason I liked it being in an 'abandoned' player owned building to begin with.
Back to square one. Other ideas for player owned places that their owners have abandoned?
I said nothing of the sort. I think it's a good idea, regardless of the building that is used. I was simply clearing up a misconception that the Necro wasn't being run by any one. No there is nothing on the private necro board, however there is an rp about it in the public Necro board that included the email from Amara.
As I said, regardless of what building is used, this is a great idea. And if the necro is used for this, there isn't any one who is going to "power trip" over it as you put it. AJ isn't a ritualist, she's a hacker. She's the last person who would try to interfere or tell people how to do things.

I agree that just coding in a permanent Erienne's Will seems like a lazy cheat.

Yeah. If this is something people want, then I think the community should band together and do it. Not just have a perma code.
So, that being said...I heard abandoned Mansion, Necropolis, Leiren's farm and someone suggested to me privately Riverwood Market (the main area of it, not the buildings in it) and Jardin as well. If I missed a place, sorry, I'm reading quick before I head off to a dr's appointment. Feel free to post here any other locations and maybe this should be taken ic at some point (as in soon >< ).

What buildings in the QZ are unowned? Deserted Multiplex?

The bar and the shopping center... pretty sure are not owned. Don't think the fire dept is either. Multi-plex I *thought* got bought just never designed?

True on all points you guys mentioned. Some things sound better in my head until reality is put into perspective. Thanks to the community for making sense of it.

I personally like the abandoned mansion idea. It's been used in tons of rps and had been here forever. Smack a Npc owner on it and id be satisfied

It also contains Fade Portals which are decidedly owned by someone.
