Interest in an Abandoned Asylum board?

Post by Stephanie Wylde »

Before I go and get one, |I was wondering if there is any interest in the community about me getting a board for the abandoned asylum in the Around the City board.

Since it will cost me Karma to get it, I would like to know it will be used.

Around the city boards are only half RPP compared to streets, so I wouldn't post RP on it.

If everyone is so scared of just getting half points for their posts then why are some of you doing journal entries? Same difference. I thought the goal was to have fun, not who gets the most points.

Rules say that solo threads HAVE to go onto the journal thread, where you only get half RPP. That's fine, that's the rules and it doesn't look to be changing anytime soon. Solo threads are important in some instances for players and charries to work through things or keep a note of things.

However, if there is a choice between posting a thread and getting half RPP or getting full RPP, why are you going to shoot yourself in the foot and only take the half? You can still write the exact same thread in Streets as you would on one of the location boards, but you'd get twice the RPP for it - and the owner of the board has saved themselves 15 karma.

To each there own, I suppose. However, I suppose it would fall under considerations of how serious a writer one is. If you're only drive to write is based upon the reward received afterwards, then I'd just hope the RPP doesn't go away. Eventually I think it comes down to organization, as well. If the location boards don't take off, then at least devise a sectioning for the Streets, because with more writers coming in it'll just be more and more cluttered.
