Grid talk out of order [c]

Post by Robert Pratt »

As it says.

It's happened twice now today - first time I thought it was cause I refreshed the grid at the exact moment it was said so it spaced. Bt this time, it was said hours ago.

5h 24m ago: Deanna says: "think that`s necessary? Giving me your energy?"
5h 24m ago: Deanna says: "Erm...Well I guess so long as I don`t have to consume the spirits that`s okay...Though...Do ya"
5h 25m ago: Deanna says: "*looks as if she is playing with her shadowy hair, winding it round her non-existent finger*"

Last time, three lines were said as well, and on the grid it had the order 3, 1, 2. The alert log was fine, but the grid order was totally off. This time, the alert log is off as well.

That seems right to me. Newest is at the top, oldest is at the bottom.

Maybe mine've been mixed up too, 'cause I nearly always get oldest ones at the bottom and then everything stacks on top <.<

But I did just test it and it went the way you said it did.

The last one, looked like this on the grid (just with time stamps) -

Deanna says: "was occupied with something else."
Deanna says: "It doesn`t matter when to me. I`ll just need to tell Keara I`m gonna be busy for a few hours..."
Deanna says: "in case she thinks she needs me. I`m sure there`d be nothing that couldn`t wait if she knew I"

In logs, it looks like this -

05.01.14 Deanna says: "was occupied with something else."
05.01.14 Deanna says: "in case she thinks she needs me. I`m sure there`d be nothing that couldn`t wait if she knew I"
05.01.14 Deanna says: "It doesn`t matter when to me. I`ll just need to tell Keara I`m gonna be busy for a few hours..."

The newest one looked like the above, first post, on grid and in the alert logs. Logs are actually fine. It was my mistake as I presumed Deanna had twirled her hair after speaking, not before.

So it's just the alerts on grid that seem to be hiccupping now and again today.

There was also this on Charlotte today -

5h 25m ago: Alexis says: "*level for them. K, Please? Peace lovee and chocolate!!!)))"
5h 26m ago: Alexis says: "(( Truce??? Human pc`s I am fond off I want stay put here for cus it increases the security lev"
5h 27m ago: Alexis says: "(( this is ooc BAH. Could attack FOUR right now but am asking NICE))"

Now, every which way I can't get any of that to make sense. So I've no idea if that's how it was said or if it's mixed up too. LOL. But it does look like 1 comes after 2 and should therefore be underneath it on the grid.

Also, everything that's messed up are in 3's..... *Goes to try 4*

It should be oldest at the top and newest at the bottom, so you are reading things in the order they occurred.

This, on grid and alerts. It makes sense for alerts- recency and what not, but it would be nice to have them in reading order on grid! :D

It's always been reading order on the grid for me, on all my charries. It's just today it's got mixed up now and again. Just three times. All the rest I've been doing has been right.

If yours hasn't been reading order before - yours has been broken the entire time. LOL

Random assed bug or what!
