Flicking to another tab, her face split into a wide grin as she finished filling out the form she had bookmarked, and hit send. She'd had the appointments and the office was waiting and expecting the form to come through at some point. They knew she was trying to raise the mney she needed for it all to happen, so when they got the confirmation through, then the wheels would be set in motion and all she needed to do was wait for the letter and the appointment that confirmed the date of when it would happen.
Still grinning to herself, as she didn't share her home with anyone - having not managed to make and take that step. Not yet anyways. She collected the champagne from the fridge - the bottle that had been sitting there for over a year, ust waiting for this moment - and a glass and then sat down on the sofa and let the cork fly. Tonight was a good night, and she was going to enjoy the taste and the moment - as it was the happiest she'd been since she'd made the money she needed to have her breasts done.

She could feel the nerves building, the butterflies fluttering in her stomach as if they were trying to create a hurricane. Her fingers were clutched around the letter as she walked through the snow covered streets with her bag in the other hand. Her knuckles were white as they held the letter, fearing that if she didn't have something to hold onto, then it would all turn out to just be a dream. However, here she was, a couple of months after confirming the payment, walking up the decorated steps into the cosmetic clinic and surgery, to take that final step and complete the journey she'd been on her entire life.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Christmas had come and gone, and she'd spent it lying in a hospital bed, bandaged from her midriff down to her thighs. The pain was like nothing she'd ever experienced before, but she just kept thinking to herself about how worth it it all was. The physiotherapy was both the weirdest and the most painful thing she'd ever tried to do before. Painful, because of the obvious, and weirdest because as she tried to walk - there was something very obvious missing. After nearly 30 years of walking around with a penis and testicles, she was finally rid of them. And it felt wonderful. Despite all of the pain she were in and the drugs she had to take, she just couldn't stop smiling. The sessions with the therapists were all going well and everyone seemed pleased with the progress she was making.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
New Year's Day finally arrived as did her release papers. Bag packed once more and she was helped from the hospital by quite a fit looking orderly. She suddenly realised that it was the first time, ever, she'd felt able to flirt with someone. She was finally who she was supposed to be all along and now that she was comfortable in her own skin and comfortable with who she was, she could finally actually be herself. It was different. It was new. It was invigorating and freeing, and she couldn't help but have a massive smile on her face as she thanked the man, took her bag and left the hospital as a new woman. Literally.2014 was a brand new year for her and she was wearing a brand new skin. Nothing was going to stop her now. New body, new home, new year. Things, were brilliant and she was happy.
