{ OOC Note: Keara can reply to this singular story at any time.}
Day 1:
She wanted him to hold her while she slept.
Enver couldn't wrap his head around Keara's thought process sometimes. Sometimes, he understood her completely, then at other times, she aggravated him to no end. Touch, don't touch. Or, she could touch him, but he couldn't touch her. It wasn't even as if he had touched her with some ulterior motive. Most the time it was by accident, or to help her in some way.
Why he agreed to the idea, he didn't know. It just seemed strange all around to the guy, but she was putting forth some effort to not be bothered by him accidentally touching her, so if it was the best idea they could come up with together, then he had no choice but to agree to it. He didn't see anything wrong with what he suggested, but to her, handshakes were off the table and even hugs were too. He really needed to watch more movies that were centered around her time to try and work out this barrier of centuries, rules and etiquette between them. Later.
By the time he had finished with work, ran a few errands, met up with Hannah for some things, it was almost dawn. Not that time meant much for the guy, because he only slept a handful of hours at most, during the daylight hours, but it just meant he had taken longer than he anticipated. Enver had gotten Keara's message about the location she was at, and hopped down in to the sewers. It wasn't his favorite place to be, but with the recent paladin attacks on him, they were switching things up a little bit. Making the guy with anger management issues work a little harder for his pound of flesh.
Thankfully, it wasn't too deep in the sewers for him to go, but by the time he had gotten there, she was already there. Enver gave Keara the customary greeting of placing a kiss on her hand, once she offered it, then let it drop so not to touch her for too long. He claimed the opposite wall of hers, using that wall as a prop for his back as the male pulled out his phone, made sure it was on vibrate and then looked back up to see her with her eyes closed. He put the phone away, making a little noise to see if her eyes would open, or if she would say something. None of those two things happened. Enver then coughed. Again, nothing happened. He wasn't surprised she passed out so easy, she was always killing things and probably wearing herself out. Why someone trained that hard, all the time also was a mystery to the guy as they lived forever, so they had forever to train. He would ask her eventually, but other things had come up in their conversations and somehow he always forgot to ask.
With a few minutes gone by and the shadow woman not doing anything, Enver decided to take his chances. He pushed off the wall behind him, walked over to her side, then sat down next to her. Still no movement from his peer. "Keara." Enver said, just to make sure, before the guy reached out with both hands, wrapped them around her arms and gave them a light squeeze. He made sure his head was as far away as it could be, in case she gave him a good smack while he did this, but it seemed he didn't need to do it. She was out cold.
He shrugged, looked around, then pulled her to him. This was the weirdest thing he'd probably ever done ever. He wasn't even sure how he was going to pull this off. How they should sleep (if he ever did fall asleep) in a place like this, together. He stretched out his legs as he skillfully maneuvered her to him, then made her mirror him. Her back against his chest, her legs on top of his legs and then, his arms around her waist. It was just too weird.
Enver cleared his throat and repositioned her, Keara's head accidentally brushing against the sewer wall when he put her on him sideways. Her legs were out to the right side of his body, a shoulder against his chest and her head on his shoulder. His arms went around her to keep her in that position, but it still felt off. Maybe it was because he was moving her around like some rag doll, but at least the position was a little better than the last one. Maybe tomorrow would be better.
