Chapter Event: The Great Bounty Debate

Post by Mooncalf »

This thread is an official chapter event. It will be a debate regarding the bounty system, which could include topics such as execution, accidents VS deliberate acts of sabotage, the safety of the vampire race, alternative forms of punishment, alternative forms of bounty control, and so on.

Crow will be reading the thread (although your characters will not be certain of this) and may change his or her mind on certain matters depending on which arguments are better put forth, which points make the most sense, and what he or she might find themselves agreeing with now that they are under serious pressure from vampires who seek to harm them.

Have fun with it.

After reading through this thread from the perspective of Crow, with his or her outlook and motivations in mind, the conclusion is that he or she was swayed by more points for the bounty system than against it. Some points were intended as points against the bounty system, but inadvertently made points for it. Other points had greater or lesser impact based on the fact that Crow's motivations and personality traits had to come into play, though they are secret at this point.

Overall, this was a very interesting thread, and some individual points might be taken into consideration in choosing updates / alternatives to the bounty system (depending on which way the chapter ends).

The end result is that the chapter issue slider moves 4% in the "for" direction. The debate was a close call, and would have moved the slider to a greater extent, were it not so close.
