Re: Canon Q&A With David
If David says it's IC knowledge, it's IC knowledge though? <.<

It's just like knowing another vamp's bloodline. Figure the binding ritual imparts a part of the partners essence/aura on the vampire. If someone doesn't know both parties they would still sense the binding, just not know who it was to.

I believe the question is. HOW is it IC Knowledge, what effects does the ritual leave between the two, to make it IC knowledge? I dunno, just guessing

Re: Canon Q&A With David
I'm not sure what is so confusing here There's a connection between sire and childe that lets you know who sired who and who their childer are. A partner bound would work not in a dissimilar way, given that like a sire and childe the link can't be severed either, and it shows on the CS as well.

Re: Canon Q&A With David
Pretty much what cliff said.
Ti be honest, I dont like enver or pru just knowing lineage details and I rarely play that they do. Liz I can understand being a telepath, but say enver meets moriah for the first time, I'm not going to have him know shes a docere and her sire off bat. Just seems weird to me.

Well, since you can see lineage and companion without being a telepath...Caine would know, if he had met the vampires in question.

Re: Canon Q&A With David
See, that's what I was looking for. How to rp it. I can see smell being an option. I was wondering if it was a feeling, perhaps. like say, Docere's feel one way, Noble another, Worthington another.
But then I got to thinking, Enver doesn't know Chad, so I can't base off how Worthington's "feel" due to their direct lineage person, or Isabella, Staus, Quartermaine.
So there in lies my wondering on how to rp connections with/to other people in the same lineage/bounded.

Re: Canon Q&A With David
You can choose how to do it? I don't think there's any way set in stone. I have a similar problem with names on the grid. How the heck would my vamp know who that random guy who shot her was? She'd know what they look like, but not their name. And if memory serves, I RPed it like that when I could (I think I remember her saying she got shot by a "blonde bimbo" once, and that was Madison? or some other character she didn't know).
But overall, it's up to you. The info is there and legit if you want to use it IC, or you can be more strict and choose what your character knows.

Re: Canon Q&A With David
That's fine if it's that way. I just wanted to make sure if I said someone felt connected, smelled the same or had an aura about them, it would be legit in the rp sense.
Thanks everyone.
