It's hard to explain how it works in my head, and there's absolutely 0% science to be found in my explaination. Basically, the act of conceiving a fadebeast does require sperm and an egg, but seeing as a vampire's body isn't even really real, the creation of a fadebeast has more in common with the usual siring process than it does with normal conception.Monique wrote: If it's more about spirit then genetics, then why would a condom help prevent vampire pregnancy?
Oh! And if it's not about genetics, does that mean two guys or two girls could end up having a baby?
Nothing about vampires makes sense if we compare it with science as we know it. As I said before, vampires in Path lore are more based on far-eastern myths, or very old European myths. To really get inside my head on the subject you should read classic Chinese novels about nature spirits, ancient Celtic myths, old poems such as Beowulf, or even Dracula, to some extent.
