Severina's Journal
Friday, September 7th, 2012.
Today was interesting.
My pickpocketing skills still aren't the best. I keep getting caught, even by humans. Really embarrassing. That was it for the evening. A bit later on, someone had put a load of zombies inside a library of all places. Right in the doorway, too, trying to catch people as they came in. Inconsiderate, is what it is. I tried beating them with books, but that didn't do much, so I ended up laying about me with this knife I bought the other day. I soon saw them off, despite being bitten a lot. I'm limping a lot, now, and can't really move one arm. Also, my stomach has a hole in it. I hope it heals soon.
Then I met Aria's sire! He didn't know she'd been sleeping with some boy, and he got very angry. It was great, and all sorts of purple and stuff. I really liked it. Apart from the one that was green and pink. I didn't like that one.
A fun day all in all. Hopefully I'll have more to write about tomorrow.

My pickpocketing is getting better. Still not to Artful Dodger status, but I managed to lift some rings and a couple of hankies earlier. Not a lot of money, though, but I suppose that's just how it goes sometimes. Still, I took what I had to the bank and then went shopping for computery stuff. Don't really understand it, but Aria says it's really helpful and she seems to know these things.
After that, I took a little walk and ended up behind a fence surrounded by zombies. I killed a few, but they kept coming, so I went to hide in an abandoned building I saw. Turns out, that was full of zombies too, so I killed them as well, and then took a little nap. Killing things is exhausting! I did have to run away from a mooncalf and a couple of feral vampires though. I didn't like the way they were looking at me.
After I woke up, I went back to the library to do some reading, and practiced theft a little more on the way. It was a good day.

Aria woke me up today. She said hi, though, which was nice. I poked her in the nose and then wandered off for a spot of robbing. Starting to do better, now, I think. I got a ring and a cellphone. I was very proud. As I as wandering around, I found a broken mirror and it's really pretty, so I decided I was going to keep it the way it is. The light looks better in it that way. After that, I decided I'd head back to the place with all the zombies, because it was kinda fun yesterday.
I went straight back to the building I found before, and was greeted immediately by a crazy-looking guy, so I left fairly quickly. He kept looking at me like I was a steak. I headed towards what looked like a deserted supermarket next, and that was much better. I set about slaughtering the zombies in there, but had to tactically retreat from a mooncalf. Didn't like the look of him at all.
I was feeling adventurous so I decided not to go back to the library and sleep in the sewers today. More tomorrow.

So the rats down here are fairly friendly. I shared some cheese I found with one, and he seemed quite pleased by this. He hardly bit me at all! I did get a bit turned around in the sewers though, and ended up coming out not at all where I planned. On the plus side, there was a shop nearby and I had some stuff to sell, so I decided to drop in. After handing over all the stuff I'd found, apart from mirror, I noticed something behind the counter that I simply had to have.
The shopkeeper explained to me that it was a Glock handgun, but I wasn't interested in that. I just really liked the mockingbird inlaid into the bit you hold. Luckily, I'd sold enough stuff that I was able to buy it. I left the shop before realising I'd need some bullets or something, so I had to go back and get them too. It's all very complicated, apparently.
I eventually found my way back to the zombie place, and went back towards the supermarket. I'd just walked in, and some crazy homeless guy grabbed me. I was lucky though, 'cause I didn't have enough money to buy anything to put my new Glock in, so I was just holding it, and it went off when he grabbed me. He fell over and gurgled a bit. I poked him a bit with my knife, but he didn't seem to mind, so I figured he was dead. Turns out I killed my first feral vampire. Go me! Still had to run away from another mooncalf though. I hate those things.
I think I'm going to sleep int he sewers again. See if my rat friend remembers me.

I like the net cafe in Honeymead. There's nice roomy broom closet that I've taken to calling home that serves my needs nicely. Also, I noticed the ATM earlier. It's wonderful! I haven't left in days. I have everything I need right here. There's humans to chew on and practice my pickpocketing with, and they have computers! I found this thing called Tumblr recently. I like these things they call giffs or something. The ones that flash really fast make my eyes tickle. You keep seeing them when you close your eyes too! It's like the computer's talking to me. I think it wants to be friends.
The only problem is that the staff are starting to give me odd looks. I think they've noticed I haven't left in a while. I keep waving and smiling, but that doesn't seem to do anything to make them less confused. I'm not sure why. I should ask one of them and see what they say.
Aria dropped by today too. Filled my closet with copies of herself. I didn't like that at all. I didn't know which one was the real one and which ones were the fake ones. It was like the time in the hunting grounds but worse by a lot. I should wail more next time to see if she gets the hint that I don't like it. I think she means well though and just wants me to have some company. It is very hard to move in here right now though.

COMPUTER FRIENDS I ARE DEAD! The sparkly voice says so and he's never wrong. Tiny flickers and wisps of whispers. Hahahahahahaha.tdyrxfgc11111110 11101101 11111110 10101101 10101100 10101110

The shadows press at the borders of my mind. Their sentience scrapes like bonesbonesbones on my thoughts. Spider and fly and prey and that makes the web! All on the tree of rotted fruit. All on the tree. All on the tree, all on the tree! Hollow eyes and empty veins for the singing stone that stands silent and still, restless and awake in death. They speak in lead voices. Shimmering and pale and stark. They tell stories if you have the eyes to see them and the mind to hear. So loud! THEY SCREAM SO LOUD! Crunching of snow and the cascades of water. The crash of thunder, dark and black. A cloud. A crow-cloud of words from no mouth. I sleep rain, dreaming.

Souls draped in rotten tatters and birds dancing in the dark, cemetery run-off congealing at the door. My mind is a tangle of asps writhing to the rhythm of bone rattle threnodies and worm-laden rain. The spirits cast crooked shadows as they run. Quiet shimmers and pale whispers on the sand wind oh how they dance. Flitting and flying and dancing and dying. They slip through fingers and teeth just the same but they fill you just the same! They make me warm like hoarfrost and steer my mind with feather heavy force. Oh yes indeed. Must stay shrouded as the moon melts and the rock falls to the flame sealed with the kiss of swine. The maggots will rock us to sleep while we float…..

The portal remains closed to me, keeping the waking world beyond my reach. Star flash ideas rattle and roll through my brain, disturbing cobweb thoughts and dandelion ideas, spores floating listlessly in the fading space between here and there, this and that these and those. Mists of dreams drip along the nascent echo and love no more. Intruders swarm like flame, like the whirlwind; hopes soaring to slaughters of ecstasy. Over the edge and over again I am. Over and under and through and back, there's a thin line between floating and sinking, waving and drowning. I wish aegis by rapturous beasts below, patterned with ivory and guilt by flamelight crescent! Thorn enfolds kin, within a seal, the worshipful place in Delphus renamed! A tempest sinister, the spectres invasive on the vine.

In Stygian clarity by Delphus pathway is Diana enthroned, ascendant with wings of smoke and claw of silver. By pattern ivory arrived at Titan’s feet, returning, vibrant by rising dark. Wishing razor to Aegis, by prodigal ascendant to Helios enthroned, wandering. In Sanctuary resting, by Artemis’ rise, pattern shrike complete, finite wine evaporated in but a moment. It is dark at night. I found myself back in Wickbridge, I like it here. In house of wax, by sloth and waking dream, slice. I found my computer friends again. I think they missed me, and there’s more of them. I like them still though so it’s okay. The fish is still missing though and that makes me sad. But I can think clearer now that I’m back. And I think that’s good. I should bother… I forgot my sire’s name. Er. More later!
