Post by Tiberius Gaunt (DELETED 318) »

Herein lies various short RPs and conversations with Thanatos. Please remember that the conversations are IC, but your knowledge of them is OOC unless you were actually there.

I REPEAT, IN CASE YOU MISSED RP SCHOOL, IF YOU TAKE INFO FROM THIS THREAD AND USE IT IC,
YOU'RE CROSSING.

That includes your character saying, "I just have this feeling..."

So don't do it. Thanks.

Via CrowNet E-Mails:
---------------------------

Azraeth:
Hello there. I was wondering if I could wrangle your contact details out of you.

Thanatos:
Wrangle? Only if you put on a hat and some spurs! aaaaahahahahahaha!

Azraeth:
I suppose I could be persuaded to do that.

Thanatos:
Aaaahahahahaha! Wait, ew. No. That's gross. Why are you gross?

Azraeth:
I happen to think I'd look rather fetching in a hat. You, however it does nothing for. Now, I'm looking to figure out why you seem to be attacking people at random.

Thanatos:
Why WOULDN'T you?! Holy ****! Have you never done it? Look, you just take the knife by the handle, and you jab forward into one of their squishy parts, and...oh, god. The flesh tears, and stuff...stuff leaks out! Sometimes slow, sometimes really fast! Oh oh oh, and when you get a really, really good part, sometimes they just split open!

Yesterday, when I stumbled into the city limits, and beat the crap out of some people until they gave me their money, and traded it for my gorgeous sharp knife...I ran out into the middle of the street and just PLUNGED it into this vampire named Smileysomething's forehead. And she DIED, and everyone was looking. Now, I'm not a fan of everyone looking. I've decided that it's way better when nobody sees. But when she just fell to ashes?

I don't know how to tell you this, but there seems to be some squishy parts of MINE that are getting pretty damn solid right now. I might be growing armor. You should really try it, because this is awesome.

Azraeth:
That's nice. I should probably be the first to tell you that randomly attacking people is frowned upon mainly because it increases the chance of humans spotting you; it also pisses off the relations.

Is there a way I can convince you to tone down the whole attack thing?

Thanatos:
Whaaaaaat? You mean "attack DIFFERENT people", right? Because I will ABSOLUTELY take suggestions.

Azraeth:
I'd actually suggest not attacking anyone for a while. Most lineages look down on attacking their members and there are already people who are looking for your blood. I can ask for some amnesty on your behalf, but not if the attacks persist.

Though if your issue is violence, I'm sure you can find someone to enjoy your sadistic tendencies.

Thanatos: Hey, that's me!
Thanatos: Unless you actually mean getting a HOLD of me.
Thanatos: I don't like that as much.
Serendipity: It is indeed. Good call.
Serendipity: ~quirks a brow~ Id like to wrap y hands about your neck right now, actually.
Thanatos: That'd be delightfully messy, because of the...y'know... *grabs one edge of his slit throat and pries it open*
Thanatos: aaaghghgaaaghaggggaaaaagh.
Serendipity: ~quirks another brow and makes the gross face~ Thats disgusting
Thanatos: I know! I'm so proud!
Thanatos: So! What can I do to you?
Thanatos: I mean for you.
Thanatos: (I mean to you.)
Serendipity: ~shakes her head and sighs~ Why did you attack a tiny member of my family today?
Thanatos: Which one's that?
Thanatos: I attacked like...
Thanatos: *counts fingers*
Thanatos: two and a half hands of people.
Thanatos: Only got spotted once. That felt weird.
Thanatos: Trying to do THAT less, lemme tell you.
Serendipity: Gaijins child..... BronwynAlessia
Thanatos: Oh.
Thanatos: She looked like she could use a good hard one right between the ribs!
Thanatos: She didn't like it?
Serendipity: The you have really shitty ******* aim cause you got her eye!
Thanatos: Oh.
Thanatos: Maybe that was the other one.
Thanatos: The other other other one.
Thanatos: I got someone else's eye, too.
Thanatos: You people jerk around a lot. :\
Thanatos: Should I come back and try for the ribs?
Thanatos: I can do that! I'm very helpful!
Serendipity: And you are a complete moron it seems ~tilts her head~ Are you special or deficent in some way?
Thanatos: Insanely special.
Thanatos: Light on the insane.
Thanatos: I talk a lot. I wonder if I always talked a lot?
Serendipity: Yes well, be that as it may, I would like for you to leave her be. She s a child and hasnt been here long enough to know the workings of this city and she took it way too personally.
Serendipity: This is my last act before I go to the shadows and Im asking nicely.
Thanatos: She should! I personally thought she was wonderful. So pretty standing there.
Thanatos: Which shadows? I'm a shadow! Can I help?
Serendipity: ~she shook her head~ Youre not helping anything.
Thanatos: Oh.
Thanatos: *frowns*
Thanatos: Well. I'll keep trying.
Thanatos: You're pretty too. Why can't I find you?
Serendipity: Im unfindable ~smirks~
Thanatos: So is Cisava.
Thanatos: I'd really like to get it once.
Thanatos: You're nicer than the others. Can we stab each other?
Thanatos: I'll keep it a secret!
Serendipity: ~chuckles a bit~ Maybe when I get back, if i come back.
Thanatos: Hot damn.
Thanatos: It's a date.
Serendipity: ~chuckles~ Alright then.
Thanatos: Oh, you made this night so much better, ma'am.
Thanatos: Are you going now, or should we talk more?
Serendipity: Glad I could help? And sadly.... I hould really be going soon. The realm will be taking me in a bit.
Thanatos: The Shadow Realm?
Thanatos: Don't go there. I heard it's more boring than politics.
Serendipity: ~nods~ Indeed it is, but I have a bounty upon my head far too great for the Hell Hounds to stop hunting me for. Its alright. Ill be fine.
Thanatos: Oh. You're letting them stab you?
Serendipity: Im letting someone do it. Not them. They will never get the bounty
Thanatos: Oh.
Thanatos: Well. I'm kinda jealous.
Serendipity: Because im letting someone stab me thats not you im sure.
Thanatos: Of course, what else?
Thanatos: But you seem worth waiting for.
Serendipity: ~tilts her head and smirks~ Do i now?
Thanatos: Very! I've seen pictures. You have lots of squishy places.
Serendipity: Think its going to be oh so fun to stab me? ~chuckles~ what makes me seem more fun than anyone else 'round here? we all have the same parts you know?
Thanatos: *thinks*
Thanatos: Some people are...really...odd about it. You seem okay with the idea. And some parts are better than others.
Thanatos: I haven't actually seen them. I can only guess. But y'know.
Serendipity: ~quirks a brow~ So youre thinking about my parts and you wanna stab them because im okay with you stabbing me?
Thanatos: Well, that sounds awful.
Thanatos: You have played hard-to-get, so that adds something to it.
Thanatos: But yes, mainly, I think you understand where I'm coming from.
Serendipity: ~she laughed gently and then shook her head~ How have I played hard to get, now?
Thanatos: Lots of people do!
Thanatos: They're all, "Say that again. Are you threatening me? I'll knife you." *imitates Cobb's voice perfectly* "Stop squirming, the incision's going to be jagged."
Serendipity: =))
Thanatos: And then nothing!
Serendipity: You have massive issues in your head and I hope, for your sake, you get some of them worked out before and if, I return from the shadow realm.
Thanatos: I don't know. But I'm really looking forward to slipping my blade into your soft stomach.
Thanatos: Unless you want it somewhere else. I'm attentive and helpful.
Serendipity: Well isnt that just so sweet of you, darlin'. Its nice of you to ask first..... Can I ask for a body part too?
Thanatos: Maybe! It'd be cheating to make it too easy. Which one?
Serendipity: ~chuckles~ Im looking forward to stabbing that pretty face of yours.
Thanatos: That would be excellent!
Thanatos: All the other parts ooze black...stuff. I think that will too, because of my eyes, but it'll be good to know for sure.
Serendipity: ~nods her head with a soft chuckle~ Well Ill be more than happy to be of assistance.
Thanatos: Are you sure you have to go? We could have that date now! It sounds like fun!
Serendipity: ~smiles and pats his head~ Sadly, yes. I dont have a choice in the matter.
Thanatos: Alright.
Thanatos: I will attempt to be here then. Though I might see you there. People are finally playing with me.
Serendipity: Well wouldnt that be an interesting twist of fate ~chuckles a bit and then smiles her eve alluring smmile in his direction just for fun~ You have fun playing with all those people then.
Thanatos: I will! Come play soon!
Serendipity: will do dear.

Scorpia: Are you Thanatos? I believe you wanted to meet me.
Thanatos: I did? Hello!
Thanatos: I don't remember. But it's nice to meet you. Sort of.
Thanatos: I saw you once and didn't stab you. I didn't know I could stab you AND rob you.
Thanatos: But I can! How awesome is that?
Thanatos: I'd rather stab you, but I need one of those guns.
Scorpia: Slow down.. Take a breath. Im Scorpia
Thanatos: Oh. Sorry.
Thanatos: *takes a deep breath*
Thanatos: I'm Thanatos.
Scorpia: Nice to meet you Thanatos. Listen I like your style. You are a like like me when I started in this **** hole.
Thanatos: You like stabbing people?
Scorpia: Thats why Im a HellHound
Thanatos: Ah.
Scorpia: But you and I share a bloodline it seems.
Thanatos: I don't know. I don't think highly of that. Azraeth told me that I couldn't stab anyone, and some other mean things. And he said disgusting things about him in a cowboy hat. I don't think I want to be part of his bloodline.
Thanatos: No offense to you. You don't seem bad.
Scorpia: Thats because you aren't on my bad side
Scorpia: Look you don't need a blood line to make it around here. I do fine without them. Most of them will cross the street before crossing my path.
Thanatos: That's good. I don't want one.
Scorpia: Friends are good. Just becareful who you pick. And never back down in your beliefs.
Thanatos: Like ripping people!
Thanatos: I will not back down. That feels too good.
Scorpia: yes it does.. But want some advice?
Thanatos: Always! Unless it's "don't stab people or let them stab you". That was Azraeth's advice.
Scorpia: Pfft. You look like a big boy to me. Just get some training under your belt. You are a shadow right?
Thanatos: Yes!
Scorpia: So am I
Thanatos: Your eyes look better.
Scorpia: Flirting doesn't work on me.
Scorpia: But thank you
Thanatos: What?
Thanatos: Oh! No, I don't want to take them!
Thanatos: I took two today, though.
Scorpia: oh thats great!
Scorpia: Impressive
Thanatos: Well. I kinda do want to take them.
Thanatos: I won't lie. You seem nice.
Scorpia: You really don't want to try to fight me
Thanatos: We don't need to fight! We can just cut each other up.
Thanatos: I mean, if you want to.
Scorpia: As fun as that sounds.. And believe me it sounds like my cup of tea. My mate would be a little upset.
Thanatos: Oh.
Thanatos: That's fair. I'm sorry.
Scorpia: Don't worry about it. Look.. Ill make you a deal. Do you want to make it in this city?
Thanatos: I'm not sure yet.
Thanatos: Sometimes it seems really boring.
Thanatos: But what's the deal?
Scorpia: Thats only because you haven't met the right one. Ok.. here is my deal. I'll teach.. train you. Make you a great shadow. But you play by my rules. You respect me. You dont have to agree with me I ask for honesty always. But respect me. You don't flirt with me. And if I advice you to back off a little you really think about the advice. You start to do well. Ill talk to the Hell Hounds and see if I can bring you in. Then you can stab all the ones with bounties on their heads.
Thanatos: Hmm.
Thanatos: I will give this some thought. I don't like that many rules. But the stabbing is a compelling argument.
Scorpia: My rules are pretty simple. And I think you would enjoy my little circle of those I hold close to me. But think it over.
Thanatos: I will! Thank you!
Scorpia: Not a problem. Listen I don't want to see you go down. You are to young to go to the shadow realm. For a few days keep your head down. You have to know when to open your mouth and when to close it. Give yourself time to heal before the next wave. Do you have wounds now?'
Thanatos: Yes, several! They're wonderful!
Scorpia: Those wounds are going to slow down your attacks.
Scorpia: The more wounds and depending on how bad will be how well you battle.
Scorpia: You are more likely to miss
Thanatos: Hmm.
Scorpia: No one told you this?
Thanatos: Nope! Maybe. I don't know.
Scorpia: Well no one told me either I had to learn on my own. I didnt have a guiding hand. I was kicked out when I was only a few nights old
Thanatos: Ah. That's...sad.
Scorpia: Not really. I am stronger for it. I now know who I can trust and who I can't. I am happy.
Thanatos: That's good.
[...]
Scorpia: Not a problem. Oh and for now.. It would be wise you don't speak of us meeting. I am not well liked. If you choose not to take my guidance then I dont want you to ruin the chance that someone else would be willing to take you under their wing.
Thanatos: Ah. I'll keep it under my hat.
Thanatos: But it will be posted in the thread.))
Scorpia: (figured that lol)
Scorpia: Ok.. I need to take my leave. It's late and I need to return to my apartment. If you ever need something. You are more then welcome to come to me.
Thanatos: Alright! Thanks!
Scorpia: Watch your back.. those who smile at you are more likely to stab you.
Thanatos: I wish!
Scorpia: Not in the good way kid.
Thanatos: There's a bad way?
Scorpia: When a body part is severed and it happens to be the hand you stab with
Thanatos: That's why I have two hands! And teeth. I'll bet I could tie something to a foot.
Scorpia: If you can do that you must teach me. Good luck. You are really going to need it. I hope you don't get sent to the Shadow Realm. The city needs more free thinkers and less sheep.
Thanatos: Okay! Good night!
Scorpia: Good night.

Scorpia: Why havent you joined the hounds yet?
Thanatos: I lost my knife. It doesn't feel right. And I'm learning a lot while I'm looking for it. And I need to talk to Cisava about it.
Scorpia: why don't you let me buy you a new one
Thanatos: Not the same. Can't replace Stabros. He's special. But it's very, very nice of you to offer.
Thanatos: Cisava says I'll learn in time.
Scorpia: I hope so. and I really would like to see you in the hounds. I think you would fit in nicely. Would probably get hit on a lot
Thanatos: With bats? And batons? And fists?
Thanatos: I like the batons best.
Scorpia: Well.. Nix does like to play rough. So yeah I can see her roughing you up
Thanatos: I will meet this Nix. And talk with Cisava about these hounds. Once I see her.
Scorpia: She is a tough ***** I give her that. But I love hunting with her.
Thanatos: I should go. I will give you more fun suggestions when I see them.
Scorpia: I will see you soon!
Thanatos: And hurt me! And I will hurt you back!
Thanatos: Bye!
Scorpia: bye!

Thanatos: Packs are good. It's no fun when there's nobody on your team, unless there's nobody on theirs either.
Scorpia: Than, you are adorable. If I wasn't married I would have to eat you up!
Thanatos: I would eat you too, Scorpia. Slowly, one limb at a time, while you watched. Because you're worth it.

Thanatos quivered with excitement. It'd been too long. Too long since he'd felt the boxy little gun buck in his hand. Too long since he'd watched the lumps of lead thudding into chest cavities and limbs and skulls. Too long he'd been told to sit still, to do nothing. "Conserve energy," they'd said, "wait until we call." And the calls never came.

He was mad at them - mad at the Dragomir who told him there was a huge battle coming. Mad at the Hounds who told him he'd have all the shooting and maiming and harm he could handle. He'd waited. He'd followed the rules, and they should have let him have someone to shoot. They hadn't. Thanatos was not, however, the kind of person to hold a grudge - he was a problem solver! If they would not play with him, he would solve the problem by going to play with THEM. What a wonderful idea!

Then they'd have to play with him.

Thanatos checked the mechanism of his sleek, matte-black automatic weapon, as well as the pistol fitting snugly against his side. The holster wiggled oddly, the ripple traveling from the leather across his midsection and up his chest. Like the rest of his outfit, the holster was simply a molding of his flesh, and he tended to lose control of it when he got excited. The guns were prepped, though, each chamber holding a round of its own, and knew it was time.

Stepping out of the door, he heard Cisava whispering in his ear, and he smiled. It was odd how Cisava talked to him so much when she was nowhere around. Sometimes, when he saw her again, he would ask her about the things she said when she wasn't there, and she pretended she didn't know. It was an odd game, but Cisava was beautiful and smart, and he was sure it was a good game.

Thanatos ran across the street, ducking into the crowded cybercafe. There were so many vampires and so few humans, going about their boring business of politics and words. They didn't even notice as he hefted the gun to his side and pulled the trigger, choking a stream of lead across the lines of people. Monitors shattered, chairs tumbled, and lead tunneled through anything it met. There were sickly thunks as the metal pieces impacted with arms, legs, and chests, ripping holes in them each before catching in the solid wood of the walls. Thanatos' thin, pale lips peeled back from angular teeth in a gleeful, boyish grin. Oh, it was so beautiful.

The hammer clicked on an empty chamber, and he popped the magazine from its catch as he stepped back through the doorway, covering his exit. He grabbed another mag from his pocket and slammed it into place, sprinting up the street to the next building he knew vampires to frequent. Stepping through the door, he repeated the assault, stopping as the line of projectiles crossed a vampire he faintly knew as Echo. She was one of the Grigori, that loud talky bloodline he'd heard people describing. Two rounds caught her below the waist, turning her inner thighs a sickening crimson. Just as the red flowers blossomed, taking Thana's breath away once again, the gun chattered to a stop. The telltale "krnk" sound of the chamber jamming drew his eye from the carnage in front of him, and the briefest look of irritation crossed his pale face. He tossed the worthless tool over his shoulder, stepping back out the door and drawing the pistol from his waist.

A quick glance around him oriented the Shadow to the nearest sewer entrance, and he strode his way to it, pistol bucking now and again to deliver shots to vampires he recognized as he passed. A few humans noticed, but they were very few and far between. He had practiced being silent and inconspicuous during the time he'd been forced to sit passively, and it paid off as he strode past bodies exploding with near-silent bullet fire, movements no more telling than if he'd passed them a note. The grating leading down to the sewer was already partially open, as this was the most popular pathway to the dwellings within. One kick pushed the heavy metal disc to the side, and Thanatos hopped down into the darkness, its edges swallowing the sharp cut of his suit completely.

* * * * *

The dwelling was quiet, simply-lit, with black leather couches and a red scorpion etched into the floor. Not a single sound echoed through the walls as Thanatos' dark suit faded through the closed door, simply melting into existence on the inside like a bad CGI effect from the movies. He noticed Scorpia's form reclining on one of the couches near him, and he grinned widely. He said he would play with her at least once before he went, and he held his word. (To be honest, he was such a simple being that it didn't occur to him to do otherwise.)

Summoning the last of his energy, Thanatos raised his arms toward the ceiling. A white tear appeared in the middle of his black tie, and his suit split down the front. The plastic-seeming flesh peeled back, and his chest cavity was exposed - a seething mass of dark matter wrapping around a bleached white skeleton in some mockery of muscle. The shadows rose from his chest and curled around one arm, which he threw toward Scorpia. The tendrils snapped forward, searching her out, but at the last minute she noticed and managed to evade them, staring at him harshly. Sidling over to the other couch, Thanatos sat down in it heavily, tired.

"Hello, Scorpia," he said by way of greeting, a smile on his face. There was no malice behind it. It sounded for all the world as if he were greeting a friend, having just given her a warm embrace. He rested his head back against the couch, settling into its cushions. He'd hurt enough of them. He'd gotten to play at long last, and they would be coming to play with him in return. He might get off a few lucky shots at the end, but Thanatos had no delusions about what would come soon behind. He didn't welcome it. It was simply the lesser of two evils.
