The delicate petals of a Rose

((OOC Note: This post will be from Rose's human days prior to her turning after her arrival in the city.))

Dearest Journal,
Today, I finally arrived in Harper Rock, and let me tell you… it is as beautiful as the pictures on the internet made it look. Hopefully I’ll be able to make it my home. Sure the people are a little odd (and by odd, I mean pale and only come out at night. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say that they were vampires or something. Imagine… me a red-headed Sookie Stackhouse! HA! I wish I was half as desired and bold as she is.), but it seems like if I just keep to myself I will be fine. That is unless that lady at the desk here at the hotel gives me anymore trouble about my American money. I wonder how long I can stay here? I’ll worry about that after next week.

Dearest Journal,
Well, I’m finally home after riding the train all day. Thank God for room service! I’m starving! I ordered a sandwich and some ice cream. What a dinner! Momma would likely be telling me that it will go straight to my thighs… she’s always said that and its never happened. I miss them terribly… I wonder if I did the right things after they died or if they would be proud of me for moving. I just couldn’t stay in that house anymore… it felt like they were still there and I have to realize that they aren’t.

Dearest Journal,
I don’t have a lot of time to write today, I’m very tired. I just wanted to mention that some strange man sniffed me today on the train. Wow… these people are weird indeed! I ran off that train as fast as I could! I was TERRIFIED!!

Dearest Journal,
Believe it or not, I actually just spent almost the whole night with a strange man! His name is Elliot Lancaster, and man is he tall! He was playing a song I knew on the train with his guitar, and I accidentally started singing along. How embarrassing! Anywho… he said hello, and I actually talked to him. I wish I wasn’t so darn shy and backwards. He said he would show me around the city and we went to the library after we had a hotdog in the park. I think he thought it was silly that I just like mine plain with no ketchup or nothing, but you should have seen all of the stuff he put on his! Anyway, I digress, the library here is fantastic! Its HUGE!! AND I gave found him the first Sookie book to read. I wonder if he will like it? I think he will make a great friend.
