Gift Ideas

Post by Jonah »

He had gone into the little shop with no clear idea what to get but a decent sized wad of cash in his pocket from his most recent trip to the hunting grounds. Presents were never his strong suit but it seemed necassary that he send a few out considering the day. First in the basket was a large purple dog. He wasn't sure why it made him think of his childe and it seemed an innocent enough gift that she would take just as a token of friendship. On the same aisle he saw a non-descript teddy bear and threw it into the buggy as well. Wasn't anything expensive, but it was cute and he wanted to get something for Kainai. The bear seemed fitting since she'd seen him fighting one barehanded the other day.

Nothing else down the plush aisle drew his eye so he kept walking around aimlessly until he ended up in the floral department. A large bouquet of assorted red flowers caught his eye and nose. They looked and smelled...beautiful and the color was so vibrant it was almost a match for the red headed woman's he had taken the walk with. It was added to the basket as well and after a few more laps around the store and nothing jumping out at him, he started checking out. Before he finished the transaction though, a smell hit his nose like a truck, the familiar scent of death he had grown accustomed to on his hunts. Squinting his eyes, he scanned the racks of "prank gifts" that were currently behind the counter and out of the way since most of the patrons weren't as interested in them. His voice cracking like it always did, he told the clerk, "Throw one of those dead rabbits in as well."

He hadn't seen Kacee in awhile but he still remembered quite clearly what she'd done to him. Might be time to send her a reminder as well. He paid and gave the little bit of information he had about each of the recepients but he was assured that they would get to the right people. "Should be an interesting Valentine's," he thought to himself.
