A swim and a think

A scaled tail pushed a humanoid body swiftly along the floor of Harper Rock's river, hair floating aimlessly at every stop of the otherwise fast moving creature. The light that reached it glimmered off the scales illuminating the strange appearence. An encantado, Maria.

Back and forth, zigzagging across the floor, twirling and darting from one end of Harper Rock to another, passing deep into the forest where she pushed herself out of the water, twisting and laying on her back, still half in the water, staring up at the trees and just breathing in the feeling of nature as she stretched out her arms smiling as she looked into the air hearing the birds chirp not too far away.

"Humans." She said shaking her head and chuckling. Such strange creatures. They fought amongst themselves and bickered over differences. Not that she believed all semi-deus were better. Personally she was a bit...scared of the Jorogomo in particular. It wasn't just their natural form that was scary, all those hairy legs, ehk. It was the eyes they'd had if they thought you were encroaching on their terrain. So...cold. Like they'd web you up and leave you for their little friends. Eating away and "NOOOoooope! That's good, all enough, we're done." she said far too loudly waving her arms at nobody in particular just trying to shoo away the thought.

There was something serious though. The situation wit humans and vampires. She pushed a little more into the water, pushing herself just enough against the shore with her tail that she kept her head mostly above water as she fiddled with a bit of grass in her hands, tying it in as many knots as she could. "They're gonna kill each other. And there's nothing I can do about it." she said softly.

"Doesn't mean I can't still have fun though, I mean, they'll get over it all eventually right? They've done that with things before. It'll pass." She muttered, she heard foodsteps cause her to snap her head to the side to look before ducking under the water, a flick of her tail on the surface the only sign as she sunk to the bottom gripping the soil and looking up from underneath, using a hand to pull back her hair that tried to get in her face in the process.

She stayed still as she saw a shadow, then let out a laugh through bubbles as she saw the size of what she'd heard. Floating up to the surface again to look at the Racoon that had startled her. "Excuse you sir, that was not very nice." she said smiling and leaning her arms against the ground again as the Raccoon just looked at her while standing on its rear legs. She raised her eyebrows, still grinning, "What no apology? Aw, how rude. Oughta splash you for that. I won't though, I bet you'd be cold."

The Raccoon got back on all fours and scurried away. She shook her head, "Typical. No manners." She cupped a hand around her mouth as if to shout after him, "This is why people call you trash pandas!"

She let out a sigh, swimming further down the river where she had an extra pair of dry clothes and towel to put on. Stretching her back once more as she got out of the water and dried off, her body shifting into it's human form. The scales going away and the tail transforming into legs. She took a glance at her phone as she sat down leaning against the tree humming to herself as she browsed.
