A mutual enemy

Mason looked down as she bought the blood pack. Never making eye contact, just taking the blood pack, and leaving. She didn't want to acknowledge what she was and never had. She knew of course, and wouldn't claim otherwise. Her disdain for her own existence as a vampire was great.
But so was her fear of starving to the point of feeding on someone. It was why she lowered herself to buying these things. She left the shop, finding a dark corner to drink the blood and feeling it fill her stomach before she looked into the night sky. This was not life. She had lost herself to this. It was why she spent so long fighting dangerous creatures, recklessly pushing herself nearly every day just to make herself feel like she was doing good with the powers that she considered evil.
She took the station to Chalktown, heading into The Dredge. Standing not far from the door, a rifle in her hands, and her sword on her back. Just staring at the wall. She hated what she'd become. She'd accepted not all vampires were bad. But she still considered vampirism itself an evil.
It was why she sometimes was even unnerved by her Wraith. He was...odd. But she knew long ago he was once a vampire. Now he was just...a creature, a spirit. Present by her choosing and the contract the two of them had agreed to.
But this was the way things were now. And there wasn't much joy to be had from it.

‘Be ready when I call. I’m not going to take long.’
Tierney’s text message to her best friend would hardly come as a surprise. With more atrocities in Harper Rock growing by the day, she had become less and less willing to spend her nights in front of her computer when there could be fun to have. Considerably more business than pleasure, she had taken the habit of walking around Harper Rock. Every night that week, she had taken to traveling around town. Occasionally, the sorceress came across vampires. It had come with a reason. That particular reason to practice her abilities, furthering them as a magic practitioner and working on the energies that flowed around her.
That evening was no exception as she stepped through the doors of the dredge, closing her eyes and breathing through her nose. She could sense the creature before she spotted her, a twisting sensation in the pit of her stomach that made the sorceress nauseous. Flexing her fingers, Tierney removed the device from her pocket and sent another text following the first.
‘Chalktown. The Dredge.’
Without her firearm, Tierney, having forgotten her ammo, huffed out in frustration. Pulling on her paladin abilities, she felt the blade that she removed from its sheath on her thigh becoming an extension of her hand. Blades were Marnie’s thing. Tierney didn’t like the closeness, but she was adequate enough in thanks to her father’s ridiculous drills, over and over again. Without hesitation, she slashed upwards at the vampire and the tip of her blade brushed the woman’s cheek to miss. Backing up, Tierney instinctively shifted the energy around the room and sensed the whirlwind of power as she pulled the life force from the vampire.
"You're in for it now, fanger."
'Deathdealer, don't talk down to what they are.' Her father's voice echoed around her.

“Come on, ******, die. Die, die, di-- that’s it. Thaaaat’s right!”
The sound of metal against metal filled the vast living room, though it was nearly outweighed by the crinkling of the chip bag as the slender paladin rifled through it for the last few crumbs. The only light was from the large flat screen, Lara Croft racing across the burning bridge as Sawyer slammed the buttons of the controller eagerly. To her left, her phone vibrated, unnoticed - until Stoirm nosed the device closer to her thigh with a quiet huff. “I swear she put a microchip in your brain, dog,” she muttered, eyeing the creature warily as she opened the message with Tierney’s name. The sound of Lara missing her jump as she read the second message echoed through the room as she leapt to her feet, phone already tucked into the faded pocket of her blue jeans.
Within minutes, the youthful hunter went from gamer to killer as she entered The Dredge. It didn’t take long for her to spot the fire colored curls of her best friend - and an even shorter time to take note of the grotesque creature she was fighting. The rune on the inside of her forearm began to burn as her blade materialized in her hand, and without a second thought, she swung. The sound of metal slicing through flesh caused her to smile, and she watched with a brightness to her eyes that was almost chaotic as she severed the vampire’s arm from her body.
“Aw, T. You started without me. Pity,” she chuckled, bouncing back on her feet and bracing herself for the fight to come.
Ephraim is going to kill me for not mentioning this...
Oh ******* well.

Will be using the memory sheet and my wound list for actions taken/given
The first attack was just an utter surprise. In truth she rarely saw people come through here, maybe one or two over the past month. What she didn't expect coming was the attack. The first was a physical strike, Mason managed to step back but it still cut her cheek. The next move she didn't even know how to evade. But that blood she'd gotten earlier was suddenly lost.
Fight or flight. Well Mason didn't like running and human or not fighting back was instinctive. She blocked the powers of her attacker and reached out to Warren her wraith. He came by fast, but there wasn't much he could do. Normally the best he was capable of was pulling at whatever power allows someone to use powers, which Mason didn't even think of as she'd already prevented anything he could do from mattering.
Not a moment later another would come by as Sawyer cut into Mason's flesh. She didn't know if she was making any verbal noises or not. She was certainly in pain enough for it. But in the moment, it was hard to think. She went from a solemness to suddenly being attacked by one and then two enemies. She tried to cast another power, hoping to at least partially Blind Sawyer.
"What." The word came out quiet and far less urgent than she really felt.
