It was an interesting transition, the move from Hawai'i to Canada. The last of their belongings finally arrived from being shipped to them. Leaving the nice warmth of the island to the bitter cold of Canada was an adjustment to say the least but Arya had gotten a job that she couldn't refuse while Aerilyn had been placed on furlough with the nasty virus that was spreading through the world. Aeri didn't mind though as she could get a job anywhere as everyone needed a personal assistant though Arya being in the health care world, those jobs were needed in spades and she loved her for wanting to help others. Arya has a beautifully kind heart and made her love her all the more though she never put herself first so Aeri made sure to make her know that she was loved. Little notes would hide in her purse or jacket pocket, little gifts when she found on that was absolutely perfect to give, and never letting her worry about anything that was going on at home as it was already taken care of.

As Aerilyn finished unpacking the last box and putting everything in it's proper place. She thought it was time to take an adventure around the city. They hadn't been in Harper Rock long but long enough that she was feeling stir crazy for not being able to get out. Today was the day. Putting on her cloth mask, she grabbed the trash as well as her purse and made her way for the door. She was bored and more than she would care to admit. The adventure she hoped would give her a chance to get to know Harper Rock better but also to get a few things for the house. Dumping the trash off at the dumpster, she pulled out her phone from her pocket and looked up for a flower shop. Life in the apartment was needed and Arya deserved a nice surprise, hoping that she wouldn't look at the bank statement at least.

Finding a florist, she smirked and made her choice. Taking the needed train to get there, excitement filled her little body. Train ride wasn't a long one with only a few stops in between. As she reached the proper stop, she stepped off the train and used her phone for directions. The shop was on the corner and as she stepped inside, her eyes filled with wonder. How was she ever going to decide? Walking around the shop, instantly picking up every bundle that she could see and a matching vase to go with them. These would all come home with her. The house was going to be loaded with the fresh floral scent. As she rounded the corner of a table full of roses, her eyes laid upon a beautiful Orchid piece. That is what she would send to the hospital as a surprise. Placing her now over loaded arms down on the counter, she went back for a few more before grabbing the Orchid piece. Smiling at the attendant as she began to pay with the offer that they could do same day delivery. That was perfect as there were a few other stops that she wanted to make. Leaving the addresses for both the flower explosion that would happen at the apartment and the Orchid piece as a surprise, she paid and thanked the woman behind the counter.

It was getting late in the evening to even start dinner as she wanted it ready before Arya made it home. Aerilyn hoped that it wouldn't be a long night for her but wanted her to relax and put her feet up when she arrived because self care was always important. Stopping by an Italian restaurant, she ordered some bread sticks, fettuccine with chicken and shrimp with a little tub of grated Parmesan to go one top. None of that shaker kind, the fancy stuff they cut straight off the block of cheese. Flowers and dinner paid for and accomplished...there were just a few things she was missing.

Checking her phone once more, she found a wine store that carried nearly everything. That was perfect! Hoping on the train once more, she was growing anxious to get home and get everything set up. Distracted by her thoughts, she almost missed her stop but quickly stepped off the train before the doors closed. The wine shop was right around the corner and that wouldn't take long. Walking in, her eyes grew in awe as she looked at all of the selections. Nodding her head to herself as she picked up a bottle of Pinot, Riesling, Merlot, and a Cabernet. Four bottles were more than enough at least for the evening though she was sure there would be plenty left over. Paying the clerk, she carried the bag in her arm opposite the food and made her way. Taking the train home, she stopped quickly into a little shop for some candles.

As she now had everything that she needed, she made the short distance home and smiled as she had met the delivery man with the flowers. Perfect timing! It was rare everything came together at the same time clearly the flower shop was bored as well and the much needed delivery came at the right time for them. Showing the delivery man the way to their apartment, she opened the door and let him in. He placed the several flowers on the kitchen counter but before he could leave, she gave him a nice tip for his trouble. Closing the door behind him, Aerilyn quickly went to work with placing the flowers around the house including their bedroom and the bathroom. Next was the set up of candles, lighting each one as she placed them. Stepping back, she looked around and smiled. She hoped her beloved would like it.

Looking at the time, Arya was due home soon as she hadn't received a text that she would be running late this evening, Aerilyn went to getting the food ready. Getting a little wicker basket from the cupboard, she took the bread sticks out of the bag and wrapped them in cloth napkin and placed them on the table that also had a couple candles lit. Moving back to the cupboard, she pulled out two plates and two wine glasses. Silverware was next with a couple cloth napkins. Placing the cutlery on the table along with the wine glasses, it was now time to start plating the meal as she knew that she was about to walk through the door any minute.
