It says MISSION COMPLETE on that last step.
Is that not one of the new missions implemented or something to that affect?
I don't remember hacking being mentioned, but I'm still catching up.

Its part of an old game mechanic that's no longer in use. Part of raising and lowering the city alert level.
Basically you get double XP for one hack. First for finding the file, then when you go back and delete it

I watched that vid a few times to be sure, however, I'm running around atm so maybe I missed something... but.
It looked to me as if you only gained Exp the one time, when you deleted the file. If you don't click on the link to lower the offender's notoriety, (Mike's in this case), you do not gain that Exp., just the Exp from when you later deleted the evidence file. If you had clicked the link, the file would be removed from the drop-down if you tried to go back and in again.

I could be mistaken but I think it is still in place intentionally. It may still lower the level of the city alert but just by a lot less than it used to.
Also, I think it is in place to provide another option to gain Exp, w/o the hacker having to raise OR lower that particular individual's notoriety level.

I got the 40 for finding the file. Then 40 for deleting the file. I went from 17621 EXP to 18021 XP.(There's a 5x Xp going on right now 40 x 5 = 200 x2 = 400)
Also, there is no longer a city alert. It's Vamoire Human Relations. He remived the city alert after the Masq fell.

You are correct, I misspoke. I meant the vampire-human relations slider. I apologize, I've been working a lot of hours lately and I was (still am) in a rush.

You better get some rest!
