Lisa walked into her apartment in Ivy Bluff. She had set up her new childe at the compound, but had yet to tell him about this apartment. So far Only Maximillion had access and he had been gone for some time. Might not of helped her extended absence. with a shrug she tossed her leather toward where her bed should be. Turning toward the desk and laptop on. The fingers of her right hand lightly trailing the keys until she felt the power button. Her left hand reaching to her ear turning on the Bluetooth earbud." ShadyBitch?" the sound of the electric buzz crackled through the earphone before an mechanical voice response. "Welcome home Lisa. How may I help you today? You have new emails awaiting to be read. As well as confirmation for next weeks Opera concert."
Her desktop assistant paused waiting for her next command. "Shadybitch, read emails in order of oldest to newest,"
"Email subject: Payment received."
"Skip"
"Email subject: Lisa its Aunt Melany"
"Read"
"Lisa,
I need you help. Victor told me what happened to you before he died. I don't know where else to turn. I'm in trouble and so is my daughter. I've messed up bad and I don't know if you will help. If you have any feelings left for how close we use to be. Please. Were in Harper Rock. We are staying in that place we use to when your Father left you with me when he had a mission. Please help us.
End message"
"Shadybitch how long ago was this message?"
"Message received exactly 6 days and 9 hours 17 minutes ago"
A hand surprisingly steady raised to her Bluetooth, shutting the connection off with her computer. Sighing slightly, she moved to the bed, hands lightly moving across the surface until her finger brush across her leather. Grabbing it and throwing the well worn jack over her shoulders. Turning her and finding her walking staff leaning against the wall. She moves toward her door. "If this is some ********, Ill skin that damn woman myself. Fathers sister or not."

Help was coming. That's what mom, Melany, said before she shoved me in the secret room. Help was coming...Maybe...I didn't remind mom that Lisa had stopped coming around at the age of 10. I was injured enough and I knew mom had risked more pain just to hide me when he was busy elsewhere in the building...doing what, I wasn't sure I wanted or needed to know...but she was right to hide me. He had beaten us both for hours and I felt so bruised and cutup...I wondered if I'd make it to see Lisa IF she got here...
A cousin I'd not seen since....I was 8...16 years... I wonder how the years had changed her. I held my breath and listened at the entrance door again; it had been quiet for what seemed like hours, but everything I owned was in THAT room. So I waited. Waited to hear Lisa coming in, hoping that she could find the latch to let me free and maybe help me to a hospital to assess all the damage I felt.
We had been in trouble. Mom binged again and I found that this shady dealer had had extra cash and drugs laying around. I didn't know she had planned to pay...some way or another...I didn't know he was a dealer, I thought he had just been her new boyfriend...I didn't know, I didn't know, I didn't know...so many things had been unknown when i borrowed his stock and cash. She knew it had been me and an accident and she had tried to explain. when that failed she took the blame and we ran until we were safe....or thought we were.
Mom had snuck around to get a hit (like always) and found she had a bounty...surprisingly ONLY she had a bounty. and she had been seen...so she called Lisa and shoved me...here. Was this secret room punishment or safety? I wasn't sure and wasn't sure I cared. I just wanted out...
Listening at the door I heard a noise - then the latch clicked...i backed into shadows until I knew friend or foe...

(Joint post Lisa and Thomas)
Lisa walked slowly, her mind racing on what Melany might have gotten herself in. It might of been years since she had seen her, but she could still remember the smell of the sweat from her aunt. She would never forget the twisted acidy smell of drugs, Her aunt had always thought she hid it from her. That was the real reason her father had stopped allowing Melany watch her. There was a small twinge in her at the thought of Morgan living through it, without any family being there for her.
pressing the button on her Bluetooth. "Call Thom ***." A smile pulling at the corner of her mouth. When she was barely 5 before the accident she had discovered that nickname for him. Though she adored her big brother than, she still was a bratty little sister. One with the vocabulary of a truck driver. As soon as she heard his voice she began, sure he would remember the little girl who was at one time Lisa's only friend. His tiny lovely cousin. "So... Hey there Bro. Our Auntie dearest sent me an email. Apparently she has gotten her and her spawn in some hot water. From he sounds of it, their life is in danger. Im on my way to go try to save their sorry asses. Want to tag along? We could play a game.... A game I am calling who is the best killer."
It took him a few moments to realize his phone was ringing. That was odd. No one actually called him anymore. He had wondered why he kept the thing in the past. A fancy, oversized pocket watch at best.
Thomas pulled himself from under the car he had been working on and scooped up the phone and stabbed it to like with a grease smeared finger.
“Yes?”
His head jerked slightly away as Lisa’s voice began pouring through the tiny speaker. She did enjoy pouring her entire point of view out in 5 seconds or less-giving one so little time to consider the facts. “Hello, Lisa,” he said once she had finished. He put the phone to speaker and began to clean off his hands. “So the bottom line is some member of father’s family is in trouble and you are actually considering the possibility you may need back up? I thought you were invincible.”
Their history was an odd one as far as families go. Same father, different mothers. Despite a brief time together, they were separated. Thomas grew up with his mother while Lisa had all of their father’s attentions. Some would say he was robbed, but considering what Lisa had gone through, perhaps he was the lucky one of the pair.
Lisa stopped walking hearing her brothers comments. A smile tugging at the corner of her lips. "Well brother dear only a fool or crazy person believes they are invincible. I am nether." T pausing for a moment a small laugh escaping as she corrects herself. "Well I'm not that type of crazy at least."
She had been keeping track of Thomas though she would never admit it to him. Before the accident she saw him as the best part of her life. Even years later with all they had gone through part of her. The little girl who sadly grew up before her time, wanted to still have him a part of her life.
"I would rather not go into a situation without back up. Do you want to come?"
She moved to a low brick wall and leaned against it. She had spent a lot of time here. Not far from his shop to listen while he worked. If he chose not to come, then it wouldn't be that much out of the way she had to go and if he did come, then she would be here ready for him to join her.
Come out and rescue some family member he might have seen once when he was allowed in their father’s house or wrestle a transmission? Was this what his life had come to? Ever since Reganlief fell into a long term sleep, life had grown standard, dull, and monotonous. Work at classes, work on cars, then sit at home. The only breaks in the pattern was when he chose to check on his sleeping ‘wife’. He did not understand all that much on how vampires ‘worked’ and had expected her body to decompose from such a length of inactivity but that was not the case. She still lay there on the bed-looking like she could wake up at any moment.
But she didn’t. Why?
Maybe a blast of difference was called for.
He walked into the back room of the shop and opened a hidden locker. Some of his weapons hung there waiting for his attention. He laid the phone down and began to check them. “Got nothing better to do,” he sighed. “Where do you want to meet?”
She smiled at the night. "I'm down the street waiting on the brick wall. I would say I'd drive, but I forgot my night vision goggles. Wanna pick me up? If we drive we would get there in maybe 10 minutes. Walking it would be more like a half hour."
She played with her staff as she waited. Twisting it so it clicked open then twisting it the opposite way to lock it back in place. It might be a huge waste of time, and their aunt might just be strung out on something. But the fact she wrote Lisa at all, had her feeling things were bad and teased to only get worse.
“10?” he laughed as he checked the rounds. He decided a combo of stealth and insane was the best choice for this. No one could be sure what would happen if Lisa took them to a party. “Obviously you have never took a ride in my best friend.” He slipped a short blade under his long coat and pulled his keys from his pocket. After making sure the rest of the shop was locked up tight, he walked to a bay set apart from the others.
“Got to go save the drug laced damsel.” He slipped inside the Barracuda as the bay door rolled up on it’s tracks. “A waste of my time and Radar Love’s.” He commented as the car purred to life. As the car cleared the bay, he pressed the remote to close and lock the door. She was close. Probably there to come on to the shop and convince him if he had said no. Barely seconds passed before he spotted her and pulled so the passenger side was near her.
“Now what kind of a fucked up pimp leaves a blind hoe all alone in this neighborhood at night?” He laughed as she climbed inside. Once she gave him the address, he popped the clutch and the car almost leapt forward. “10 minutes? Give us a challenge, sis.” The car moved like a black dart among the late night traffic and soon they had left the city. Thomas only slowed down when he was in range of the address and killed the motor so they glided in silence down the last street to their destination. “7 minutes, 23 seconds,” he grinned as he set the break.
Lisa gave him a smile that was more a baring of teeth at his comment. A good verbal sparring normally welcome, but her mind was already moving to that special place reserved for killing. "Later bro.."
She scented the air as the car picked up speed. For once glad she couldn't see, from the feel of things she would probably have a heart attack. As the car rolled to a stop she rolled her window down listening. "It's too quiet. You do know this is probably a set up right?" Her voice barely a whisper.
As they moved out the car, Lisa scented the air once more. The air held the scent of humans, aggressions, fear and death. The smell had Lisa spine go rigid. The smells had faded some, it had at least been a few hours since who ever they would of had to fight had been there.
Shaking her head she began to walk along the edge of the woods making her way to the back yard from memory alone. Her staff gently tapping the ground back and forth in front of her. Keeping her voice a whisper, "We should go shadow. I'm pretty sure one if not both are dead already."
Her suspensions were proven right the moment they made it to the backyard. Her staff gently bumping into something mere steps from the back deck. The object giving way enough for her to know it was a body and the smell of death strong enough for her to know it was pointless to check for a pulse. "Which one is it?"
Thomas's voice just as quiet as hers but with that deep baritone that their father held. "Melany..." One word and Lisa knew that for the second time that night she was glad of her lack of vision. She might of killed plenty even before being turned, but the truth of it all was those people were nameless to her. This was her aunt, she was fucked up but Lisa loved her in her own way.
Taking in an unneeded breathe she continued on. Heading straight to the panic room her father had built. Her hand on the hidden panel she spoke to her brother. "This was way to easy..."
Opening it slowly she knew her cousin was alive the frantic beat of her heart also letting her know she was awake and scared half to death. "Morgan it Lisa. How bad are you hurt?"

In the shadows, I could see nothing...it was dark, after all...I held my breath wondering who could have known about this hiding space. His luck still holding out? Or had he left...and this was a new enemy...
Those wounds from the fight...they didn't hurt as much anymore...I wondered if that was normal of knife and gun wounds...or if i was in shock...definitely some shock, then again...I fought the streamers and dots starting to cloud my vision, trying to be sure I would not be victim to He and His crew again.
That voice...I know that voice..."Lisa?" I emerged slowly from the shadows and saw my cousin standing in front of me...I showed myself, bloody, bleeding, beaten well, the reality of Lisa actually responding to Melany's call setting in. I opened my mouth to explain, to answer her question about my injuries and what happened...and collapsed into the abyss of spotty darkness that had been ebbing into my vision, while I waited for help to arrive.
