Segreti Showmen and Show-women [open]

Segreti hummed to himself flipping as he sat aside flipping through the pages of Hamlet, a classic. Everybody loved the classics and they did well on stage. Currently, the very thing he was working on actually. He was a businessman after all, and that meant he needed employees. Some of his companies were easy enough, Services served as his overarching company. A term he used for anything he didn't already have in motion, but today was a matter of Segreti Showman. An entertainment company, and he especially wanted to profit off of stage acts.
The building was open for business, with a big "HELP WANTED" sign just outside listing need for actors, actresses, stage hands, and others. At the front desk was Nichole Cohen, who was mostly just relaxing while she waited for things to inevitably pick up. She'd been a part of Segreti Services before and had moved over to Showmen when he kickstarted the company.
Meanwhile, Segreti simply relaxed on a bench to the side of the buildings entrance waiting for people to enter. He kind of enjoyed the idea that they might come in having no clue who he was. He wasn't exactly famous, even if his companies did well. And he would love to see what would happen when potential employees would enter while he worked on how he could adapt the play to the stage that he had available.
The building itself was not particularly unique, it had a practical and clean feel to it with a few peaces of art here and there, but otherwise, was very simple.

Franny has a smile on her face as she walks on the sidewalk, a small book in her hands and a pep in her step. Excited, because she had just walked out of a job interview, nothing flashy but enough of a little job to help pay for school supplies, or even outings on occasion if she wanted. With her thoughts on her new boss, a gorgeous redhead who hadn’t seemed thrilled about conducting an interview- but having done it anyway, made her think. Does Miss Tierney just not like that aspect of her job as owner, or... did she hate her already and just needed the help. With a sigh on her lips, bringing that smile from stretching across her face. The girl automatically pauses by the window of the entertainment business building, the small little book in her hands automatically moving to being folded over her chest, looking much like a school girl staring at a flyer. Franny loved the theater, and with her mind busy, and wandering, she hadn’t noticed the man she had passed or worse, even the crowd of people trying to move around her. That she stared, letting her blonde head tip as she stared at the HELP WANTED sign. Maybe they could use someone to paint signs?

Antonio lifted his eyes over the script as he glimpsed someone outside, a pretty woman with red hair and a book clasped in her hands staring at the HELP WANTED sign. He'd missed her walking by at first but the pause and movement of the book brought his attention up more quickly, he looked back at his script for a moment and then inside the window, Miss Nichole wasn't really up to getting off her desk, besides it wasn't her job to come bother people just passing by. Sure it would be nice, but she tended to just do what she knew she could.
Segreti stood up from where he was closing his script but keeping a finger in between the pages, walking over and standing next to Franny but facing the sign, then leaning his head sideways with a smile, "You know you could just...apply and decide later," he offered, "Were you looking for something particular? Sure I know someone who needs someone." he asked. If she was, he might be able to hire her elsewhere. There was always the chance he could need another employee. She seemed like she could potentially be an actress, but he didn't necessarily want to promise that without any idea of what she was after.
"Names Antonio by the way," he said reaching a hand out from the side and turning around to lean against the window, he decided against giving his last name and actually saying he was the owner, just to see what she would do. Sometimes you could glean more from people who thought you were in the same position as them, then if you were the one who was offering them money. Suck ups were useful, until they had someone else to suck up to. Or screwed over the rest of your employees. She seemed nice though, or at least he hoped that was the case.

Franny's thoughts were still wandering towards the Redhead who had interviewed her, but once the thoughts about theater entered her brain there wasn't much going back now. With the tiny book clasped against her chest, she stared at the sign, beginning to re-arrange her schedule already. Her new work schedule, her school schedule, and even the sparse volunteer work she already signed up for. Where could time be borrowed so she could spend some time here?
But those thoughts were quickly interrupted by the handsome stranger. A man trying to tempt her into applying, and making a decision later. Smiling, the two corners of her pink smile stretches upwards without hesitation at the thought, laughing quickly at the idea. "That's not a bad idea, but I'd hate to apply and not be able to give the job a real commitment if I find my schedule too busy." Franny explains, that smile quickly turning into a small purse of her lips, big grey eyes returning to the sign. "Maybe I can just volunteer to paint the signs." she offers, shifting the book from her chest to a dangling hand by her side as she offers the other to him.
"My names Frances, but you can call me Franny. Everyone else does." the girl says, the brightens of her smile matching the glittering sunshine of her blonde hair. Watching him shift around, she waits until he seems to be settled before she takes his hand to give his much larger one a brief squeeze, sticking her hand into the pocket of her slacks afterwards, asking. "Do you happen to know when's the next play? Maybe that'll help me decide if I got the time. I actually just came from a job interview, and I think I got it." Franny says, none the wiser about the man who was actually the owner. But honesty was her good nature, so as she shrugs gently, the girl steals one last glance to the building, the love of the arts obvious on her face.

He gave a shrug as she mentioned she wouldn't want to not be able to commit to it, understandable. But he wasn't too concerned, if she couldn't fill out her full time, then the contract would just have to reflect that. She offered maybe she could paint the signs and he shrugged again as if he didn't know the answer, but was still smiling, she seemed nice, "Heh, yeah I think some better signs would be good huh?" he asked with a chuckle looking at the ones they currently had. They weren't awful, but they could do to have some flair. Or at least have some hand craft in them, gave the place an extra nice feeling since they mostly did stage acts.
"Pleasure to meet you then Franny, can just call me Tony if you prefer. Little more familiar to some people." he said as they gave a brief light squeeze of hands before she returned hers to her pocket, she went on to ask about upcoming plays and saying she may have already gotten a job, he nodded thoughtfully. Naturally that did make things more difficult, but he'd love to have her join, she seemed to have the heart for it and she seemed pretty and nice enough, whether or not she wanted to be an actress, she'd be a good employee. But he could really use some more people for it.
He let out a hum in thought, "Well there's a stage act in like a week, and there's a Peter Pan play next month, but I think the next actual play, that hasn't had most of it already done, is gonna be in around two or months unless some surprise play comes up." he answered, two months being a considerable approximation, technically he'd not set a date for it.
Segreti really wanted to see if he could convince her to join or not, but figured maybe he should inquire a little more, get a good grasp of what she wanted out of the job, painting signs seemed like it'd be a bit droll for someone who seemed really interested in it, "You think painting signs would really be enough? I mean, would it satiate the desire to act, if that's what you want. To be a part of something for people, live, just steps away, to feel the emotions of the characters, to see it all unfold through your own eyes, and to bow to a crowd when it's all over." He explained it with a gleam in his eye, perhaps it wasn't the most glamorous wording, but it had it's emotion in it, he enjoyed it. Acting. Of course, perhaps it was his nature to act, he was essentially a salesman who took up the route of owner and enjoyed both roles. Acting was just an extension of it and equally entertaining, but with much less risk, which was why it could entertain him to be one when their was a particular part he felt like getting.

Fran laughed when he asked her about the signs, she hadn't meant those, honestly. She had meant the new ones they'd make for their next play. Or even, just the screen designs they'd use. She would paint a tree, or even the entire forest if they needed one. She was even good with a needle though, she didn't extend her talents outside of patchwork or sizing for costumes. If forced, maybe she could make a decent dress, but nothing that required too much above-average talent. Looking between the signs, and the handsome man, she laughed again, this time with her belly and the corners of her mouth staying up in a full on beaming smile. "Yeah, I guess so! But I swear, I hadn't meant these. I meant the new ones for the new play!" she quickly told him, breathless from their laughter. Not wanting him to misunderstand her or worse, be offended by what she hadn't meant to say. Franny didn't make many enemies and she wasn't looking to start today.
Squeezing hands, and nodding to the mention of his nickname. She continued to smile, and one could swear it might never stop growing. "I'll be sure to call ya Tony then! Pleasure's all mine." she assured him, excited now at the thought of working here. Of making a new friend, he had to know some of what was going on here to tell her all about the plays and the schedule that was coming. Maybe he knew someone inside? And if she were honest, she was about sold already. The arts is where she thrived.
"I guess you're right, it wouldn't be enough." she finally said after a moment of thought once he was done speaking. He had her thinking, because she could manage it, her school schedule, her new part-time work schedule and maybe just a glittering of theater in between all of that. Thinking about acting, about pretending to be someone else, expressing emotion to a crowd hanging on every word made her grin. Glancing longingly from inside of the little sophisticated building, and then back at him. She gave him the answer he was looking for. "Alright, I'll do it!" she told Tony, her naturally soft voice rising with excitement as the woman moved quick with her excitement, making her way towards the door to yank it open. And once the AC blew into her face, blowing those blonde curls around, she was practically bouncing on the toes of her feet with purpose.

Antonio bonked the back of his head against the glass and smacked his forehead, "Oh, right, forgot about those." he admitted shaking his head as she mentioned what she really meant about painting signs. Yeah that made considerably more sense then what he was saying and thankfully she had caught onto his error.
This woman was all cheer, he really enjoyed it, there was just something so much fun when everyone was cheerful like that. His smile widened too as she said that it really wouldn't be enough, he held out a thumbs up, and gestured towards inside raising his eyebrows expectantly to see if she was going to pull through on that.
Sure enough with a final exclamation the woman burst through the door, with the AC blowing in her hair and bouncing towards the receptionist. Antonio was practically beaming at this point, well this had been about one of the most fun hirings he'd ever done! He'd be sure to hang around when she was here he really liked her so far, "There we go! Now that's the spirit!" he exclaimed following vaguely behind and then heading down silently into one of the side rooms while the receptionist looked up to see the woman come up. That side hall happened to double as his office, when he was in, and the filing room.
Nichole looked up as Franny approached, catching sight of Segreti running off into a side room and shaking her head with a smile. People got used to the enthusiastic mans antics, so it wasn't even vaguely a surprise that he'd somehow charisma'd his way into getting a new employee. She was not aware however, of his little ruse about not giving her his name. And as a result when she stood up to greet the woman she spoke with a smile and a lack of hiding information, "Welcome to Segreti Showmen, I see you already met Mr. Segreti. So then what can I do for you?" she asked putting her hands on the counter and leaning forwards just as Antonio started making his way back out with a smile on his face still.

Laughing as she heard him behind her, she continued to make her way straight for the receptionist desk. Hoping the woman would be kind enough to hand her an application, and maybe Tony would stay by her side, give her an extra boost of confidence as she filled everything out. But out of the corner of her eye, she saw the man walking past her, and down the hall. Making her pause just a second before she finally leaned on the reception desk, her elbows on the cool wood.
"I, Uh.... " she trailed off, trying now to blink off the surprise she felt at Tony disappearing on her. Had he been here before? Well, she'd have to suppose that would make sense. He did know some about the schedule after all, maybe he worked as a tech or even as an actor himself. Still though, when he came back, and the receptionist stood confused, and asked her what she needed. The blonde glanced between the woman and the returning Tony, confusion on her face before she laughed. 'Welcome to Segreti Showmen,' the other woman said, making Franny balk and then laugh. Ah, so his full name was Tony Segreti.
"Do you OWN the place?!" the girl exclaimed, backing up from the desk now to drop her arms in her surprise and laugh again. "You own the place, don't you?" she accuses him, that same light and sunshine humor in her tone even as her arms lift and they cross over her chest. Smiling at the probably undoubtly clueless receptionist, she shoots the other girl an apologetic glance. She hadn't meant to ignore her.

Tony held the contractual papers with him but mostly behind his back, intending on just setting them down discreetly for Nichole to give Franny. However when he came out he was confronted by her accusatory question, though not angrily thank goodness.
He let out a guilty chuckle, and shrugged before looking at Nichole, "Oh come on Nichole, couldn't just let it last a little while longer?" he asked, though still with a smile as if he had failed some kind of joke. Nichole threw her hands up in the air and sat down shaking her head, though she did seem to be at least vaguely amused.
Tony held out his hand admiringly, one of them still holding onto the papers that detailed how the contract would work and some of the contract itself, "Ok ok, yeah, Antonio Segreti, owner of Segreti Trade, Corp, Services, and Showmen. I may or may not have an issue with giving things my last name but to be fair what else are you going to do?"
He walked forwards and leaned an elbow on the counter putting the papers down and straightening them out with one hand, "Sorry about not really admitting that...earlier on. It's just much harder to get to know people when there's the possibility they pay you for something. You know?" he scrunched up his face for a moment looking at the papers, then turning back to her and raising his eyebrows, "Still want in though? Promise I'm not a bad owner, we keep pretty good morale around here most of the time. That and, come on, at least you sort of know me now right?" he pushed the papers towards her a little waiting expectantly for a response. Admittedly looking a little guilty for having not quite told the full name earlier.
