Blood thief healing
So I had a bit of a rp related question. Blood thieves in grid can gain blood by feeding of vampires as well as possess excellent healing abilities. Would it make sense then for someone with some kind of disease or something to have become one to try and survive, even as dangerous as it may be?

Re: Blood thief healing
In my opinion yes, it would make a very valid motivating factor.

100% agreed about it being a great motivator. I used to play a character here who, when chemotherapy stopped being effective, turned to the supernatural. I wrote about it in passing here. I had considered doubling up her blood thief status (since you can stack two classes), but ended up making her second one sorcerer in order to have her access 'chi' powers and gain more control over her body and shift (so to speak) her life force as needed.

I read some of it now, really cool. Alright then, I have a plan! Just have to actually choose a disease or ailment that fits.Bjorn wrote:100% agreed about it being a great motivator. It apparently is more difficult finding a good disease then I thought. A few came up I liked, Epidermolysis Bullosa, Muscle dystrophy, something that requires an intense surgery (like on the heart especially) or maybe a form of autoimmune disorder. But it's very difficult to choose what to go to. I wanted something that superhuman healing and the ability to gain blood would help with, but that's a little more difficult to find then I expected.

I don't think you have to have all the details perfect to write the story well. I remember back in the old days the soaps had people dropping dead from mysterious ailments all the time! Ahhh the good old days! lol ;D
But seriously. Doctors do NOT know everything and there are people out there who are dying that the Doctors can't help because they don't know what's wrong with them. I know this cus one of the ladies I work for is one of them. >.<

Well that does make things easier lol. I can work with that much easier then having to research a dozen diseases/disorders. Thanks!Alexandrea wrote:I don't think you have to have all the details perfect to write the story well. You are welcome. :) Keep in mind I am just giving you my opinion. But this is supposed to be fun, not work. Don't get so bogged down in the details that you never get off the ground. <3
