I had to do that too to get Kira's icon to change. It doesn't seem to support random images so I wanted to change it to one image, just wouldn't do it until I cleared data (also always changes the link from what I have it to something else). Changed Jarrett's with no problem. Went to his thrall, wouldn't take until I cleared data.

This is kinda annoying <.<

I think that the needing to clear and refresh businesses is just temporary. At least I hope so, lol. It got me so frustrated I was ready to chew nails and spit out carpet tacks when I first went around to do all my gang's icons. >.<

I thought it would refresh automatically, but I guess it's not right now, so I'll have to look into how to handle this.
