by Amaranthia
As the curtains over the front doors of The Necropolis part you are transported into a realm of the good old times. The interior of the club now houses a gigantic circus tent, concealing the normal decor of the club. Each auction block features a raised platform over decadent crimson velvet for the contestant to feature themselves upon in a manner of their choosing. Amaranthia had been more than tempted to instead make each auction booth a part of the "freakshow" but figured it would garner more good will to instead feature them on their own individual small stages. Instead, she hired local performers to fulfill the roles of the freaks and acts. Every hour the night went on, there would be a new act featured on the main stage. Musicians, jugglers, magic tricks, a bearded woman, a strong man, the serpentine lady, acrobats, all the classic acts had a place on the schedule.

As you enter the first partition, James stands ready to greet each guest, taking in hand their invitation and gracefully slipping a ring upon their finger "Compliments of Lady Amaranthia, to ensure your safe-keeping." They had been crafted with a ritual, contracted by the demifae, to ensure each would fulfill their contract as given. The rings each held a small gem of Amaranthine, to seal the bonded contract between contestant and winner. The ritual only required one last rune to be completed, and either Amaranthia or Amalea would do so upon completion of each auction.

Along with the ring came a small envelope with a further explanation of the purpose of the rings, along with a kindly word stating that communication outside the club would be crippled for the night beyond the second curtain. Included also was an emergency number to reach the Necropolis security and hospitality staff should a guest need contacted in an emergency. The familiar pressure of Eirenne's Will having been cast, fell upon those who passed through the second curtain, and as soon as all guests arrived Fortify Abode would also protect the party goers from outside harm.

Amaranthia had gone to great lengths to ensure the safety and security of those involved with the auctions. It simply wouldn't do to leave anything to chance, not when this was such a pertinent opportunity to better forge positive press between the supernatural world and humankind. There was far too much hate and pain going around, and Amaranthia sought to do what she could to lessen such, especially given her relationship with Amalea and the woman's choices having led to the latest outbreak. The allurist wasn't angry at Amalea, but she was concerned, and was setting her social butterfly skills to the test to try and create some good will on the human's behalf.

Those who found themselves attached to their electronic devices would soon find themselves at a pause, as the tent decor concealed a Faraday cage of fine mesh, preventing that which occurred within and that which was beyond the walls from interaction. For just one night, you were free to be yourself without fear, without that constant leash of electronics devices. So few alive today knew the peace that came from unplugging from those devices, and the clearing of the mind's worries that came with it. Cameras would work, to preserve the memories created this night, as much as they would work with the nature of her guests at least.

Along the far wall, there was an amusement alley, filled with old fashioned games such as bottle toss, shooting practice, bank shot, strength striker, fishing for duckies, balloon darts and of course obnoxiously over-sized stuffed animal prizes.

by Aviana
As the old gray 1984 Chevette pulled to a sudden halt, outside The Necropolis, Aviana took a moment to compose her nerves. It had been so long, since she last dressed formally. Her attire of a simple black dress felt like an obvious choice. The lone choice really, being the dress was the only one she owned. Avis hair hung loose and her makeup was simple but added some much-needed color to her face. Zaylee, Avis thrall as of yesterday, had helped the vampire ready for the event. Not only had Zay aided in the vampires beauty preparations of the night, but had also reassured Avi everything was going to be fine. “Think of it as free advertising, of your art work.” As she spoke, Zay would smile reassuringly. Avi did her best to hold a smile of her own.

“Thanks for driving. For everything really." With that said, the two would waist no more time with words. The hatch of the beat-up ride would be open and Avi was right to work, an artist on a mission. Pulling out an overly large black case, Avi set it upon the ground, extending the cases handle. Zaylee was around to shut the hatch, before saying one last goodbye. Frozen, Aviana watched as her new friend drove out of sight, before turning to enter the club. As she pulled her wheeled case along, Avi sure not to knock into anything.

A man greeted her inside and would place a ring upon her finger. Compliments of the owner, how nice. “Thank you.” Her words paired with a smile, as she was given an envelope that held further details of the ring. Moving along, it was hard not to stand still, just to gawk at her surroundings. The décor was fun and inventive, but Avi would allow herself time to admire it later. She set straight for her auction block, to set things up on her platform. Lugging the case along, she would have it off to the side of the platform. Opening the case, the vampire began removing the custom stands to assemble. She had built each herself, to display the ten swords brought as a gift for her highest bidder.

Once the swords were displayed, along the front of her platform, Avi would return to the case. She proceeded to set up a small custom table, displaying all the different types of jewelry she made. The various bullets among the sparkling gems, that looked out of place, were also that of her craftsmanship. The case she left open, to display various pictures of paintings and metal works of art she had created over the years. As the last of her tasks were finished, Avi stood upon her platform, as a nervousness set in once again. With hands that shook, only slightly, Avi would open the envelope to read about the ring.

She had done this once before, years ago. Before becoming a vampire, before her life had taken all of the strange twists and turns. Her usual attire was made only a little more posh by the choice of materials. The typical long black cotton skirt had been replaced by one of black velvet. Suede boots replaced with dainty black heels that could barely be called heels. Her baggy tunic replaced with a white silk blouse that exposed her shoulders. Her skin was nearly the same shade of white as her shirt, and she wore no cosmetics to brighten her face.

Lively amber eyes took in the scene as she adjusted the case over her back. Long fingers tightened on the case held in her hand as she walked forward. The ring was odd, but slid on to her pointer finger and fit as if it was made for her. She took the envelope with a smile and a word of thanks. Walking in, she saw she wasn't the first to arrive, that was a relief. Smiling at the other woman there, she tucked a lock of electric sky blue hair behind her ear. Curiosity had her going over to Aviana, admiring the swords and jewelry. She, herself, wasn't much of a crafts woman. "You made these?" She asked, then chuckled to herself, "Of course you did. That was a stupid question. Your work is exquisite."

With a last smile, Dhara found her platform. She climbed on top of the platform and placed a simple wooden stool. She removed her case from her back and set down the one in her hand. The lute was first, and she pulled the buttery soft leather off the rounded belly. 24 strings gleamed in the overhead lights and she placed it on a small tripod like stand. Next came her violin. Nearly 300 years old, it was one of only 600 remaining of it's kind in the world. Her pride and joy, though she was equally adept at both instruments.

She didn't have much to offer beyond music, conversation, and stories of her travels around the world. As she sat there, violin in one hand and bow in the other, she oped it would be enough.

The killer slipped from the shadows as he neared the tent set up at the Necropolis. He had entered once more, though he was unsure if he should have. With every thing going on in the city after those stupid cunts had helped tear open the rift, he should be out hunting them. Especially Every. In away, he supposed he owed her an apology... turned out she wasn't working with the siren's to close the rift. The traitorous ***** instead had tried to, and eventually been successful, in tearing open the rift, and letting loose hell on earth, focusing the might of the human government on Harper Rock, after all the lip service she had paid to the cause of keeping Vampire secrecy, she had been almost solely responsible, and as far as killer was concerned she shouldered the lions share of the responsibility. It was she that summoned her thrall to feed the lich, and she that had the experience and knowledge to have assisted Ariadne in her fight to save us, instead, the traitorous **** had bled Ari. As much as she needed to die, she would hold. More important at this moment was the woman at the other end of the faint scent he was following. It came and went with the swirling wind, but the man was on a mission, and the sweet scent of lavender was all he needed to find his prey this night.

Her hair was...what had they called it? Coiffed? Yes, that was it, she was pretty sure at least. Regardless, it fell in soft waves, large curls really down to the middle of her back after framing that heart shaped face. A fresh spritz of Lavender water at the base of her neck, and over her unmoving heart. The dress she chose appeared almost a robe, it was perfect really. Commanding attention that she craved, were she truly honest, and it would definitely get a rise...of perhaps many forms, out of the killer. Black satin and velvet caressed her skin, and she turned in the circle of mirrors. She might look dead...well ok she actually was dead...but at least she could tell when a dress favored her figure. She felt Mordechai's presence immediately, and her features softened, as she watched to see if he'd come to her, or to her decoy that she'd placed upon the auction block. There was simply far too much business to attend to for Amaranthia to stay upon the block personally. It had been her best workaround, it wouldn't have done for her to host the auctions and not offer herself as a prize to be won after all. Amaranthia was many things, but a hypocrite was not one of them.

Dress.

by Yasu (DELETED 10308)
Yasu was never one for gatherings such as these, crammed with people of all types, shapes, and sizes. He much preferred the quiet of his home, his books, and the occasional trip to less cramped, busy locations. It was easy to say he was more than a little floored where he stood, eyeing the dense crowd bustling about even this early into the auction. A hand lowered to his digits, almost nervously twisting the ring now gracing his index of his left hand, though his face gave nothing away. A slow breath was taken, and he stepped forward.

It was for a good cause, the man reminded himself. Though he’d never set foot, or even heard of this place before, and he would confess himself a little out of the loop with recent events, he made his way to his destined location with only minimal misdirection. The teacher held a certain appreciation for the decor, slipping through the crowds with a careful grace that might have been considered rare among humans, an extension of years training. He hadn’t brought much, since he didn’t have much to really display or sell or the like, but he had at least dressed up for the occasion, and brought what he could.

The boxes in his arms were carefully maneuvered to the appropriate area, where he lay out a number of their contents. Mostly books, some rare, some common, favorite pieces from his collection that usually were kept for display rather than sale. These were laid out, as well as a few pieces of Kendo gear. He would at least be willing to explain a few of the minute points of the trade should anyone be interested, always in the mood to draw others into the traditional art of swordplay.

Outfit
Yasu himself had dressed as simply as he could, though for once the haphazardous spectre that clung to his anima had actually shown a helpful side to him. The loose black shirt dipped to show smooth, unmarred features, decorated with little buttons along the trim of the neck and a popped collar. The jacket was loose and silken black, little jewel-like pieces sewn in on either side. It was meant to be worn open, reaching down to his knees where a set of simple black slacks over a pair of equally simple loafers gave him a smooth, silky appearance. His hair was loose, for the most part, though one side was braided in a few places towards the back of his head, while the other side hung over his eye in smooth, lightly tousled bangs. The whole look stood complete with a white fedora and a simple chain on his wrist, as well as his favorite dragon-like pendant hanging from his neck.

Should one be entuned to the spiritual realm, it wouldn’t be easy to miss the secondary figured that shadowed him. A faceless male of slightly beefy build and boasting a decent beer belly, the spectre was dressed in the most gaudy mockery of an outfit, from a leopard print coat to a matching hat, twirling a cane. Though his features were completely shadowed, a wide toothy grin broke through in an unnatural way, and black greasy hair fell to the nape of his neck in spikes. The spirit simply loitered, always whispering in Yasu’s ear, though the teacher did well to ignore it. He hadn’t spent the last few years visiting his family in vain, afterall.

With everything laid out, somewhat awkward about the ordeal, he took up his own position as he was meant to while flipping through one of his favorite books idly, and waited.

"Ladies and gentlemen, it is my privilege and honor to welcome you to my establishment. The Necropolis Nightclub welcomes you, and seeks to enable your darkest desires my darlings. It is my privilege to host this great community event bringing together vampires, and mortals alike along with those who might wish not to be named. May we all enjoy a night of community. I hereby..." she paused to glance down at the small pendent upon her wrist containing a watch "pronounce the auctions open for bidding!"

by Amalea
Amalea had been practically living at The Necropolis ever since Amara had told her about the Charity Auction. The blood-thief had missed working here alongside the allurist and wholeheartedly threw herself into helping make sure the evening would be a success. She hadn’t hesitated in offering to perform the rituals needed to make the club safe for the patrons; her proficiency in rituals had grown in recent years.

The ritual altar had been moved into Amara’s office for the evening for the sake of convenience. One of the women would have to complete the binding ritual each time an auction closed; this was easier than running up and down stairs all night. It was the Fortify ritual that had sealed the need for the altar to be close at hand as that ritual could only be done in the area to be protected.

The red-head was clad in jeans and a black t-shirt; her outfit for the evening in a bag hung well outside the potential splatter-zone. Approaching the altar, she emptied the majority of the contents of the pouch she carried onto the stone. A single hawk’s eye was set out furthest left with an antique something or other placed beside it carefully. The bone of one of the stronger mooncalves was laid beside the pair in a neat line. Two vials of blood – one from a sorcerer and the other from a paladin – were added next in line before the spread was completed with a small pile of Bishop’s Weed.

Everything except the hawk’s eye and Bishop’s Weed she placed into circle where she’d bind the demi-fae. Her ritual dagger slid into her hand as she stepped back around the altar. Pricking the tip of her finger, she smeared the blood on the hawk’s eye before tossing it in the circle. A drop of blood was squeezed onto the bundle of plants. Picking it up, she carefully and clearly called forth the demi-fae by name, ”Seus, I summon thee.”

She waited for the demi-fae to appear before she continued. Each time she got to a spot where she wasn’t sure of the word to use, she’d test them out till the demi seemed to respond positively. Surprisingly, she hadn’t needed to use as many hawk’s eyes as she had estimated needing, which was fine with her. The majority of the ritual passed without incidence though the demi had tried to escape a few times. As soon as the items she had placed in the circle disappeared, she smiled knowing that the demi had accepted its appointed task. The Necro would be safe from violence this night.

The bloodied knife was wiped off before being laid on the altar. The red-head swapped the pouch in her hand for the one containing the needed items for the Fortify ritual. Returning to the altar, she laid the items out in a similar fashion starting with a shard of mirror. A petrified monkey’s hand was laid next to it along with another antiqued item. A silk hanky (who carried those anymore?) and a bundle of scarlet ammannia rounded out the line. The pouch was placed alongside the blade she had set there earlier. Nodding in satisfaction that things were set to resummon Seus for the Fortify ritual once the bidding was set to start, her attention turned to her dress.

Nabbing the bag, she weaved though the decorated floor to descend into The Dungeon. There she showered and dressed with a haste not usually seen from the red-head. A pair of heels was slipped onto her feet before she turned her attention to the remainder of her appearance. Hair was combed straight and left loose. Makeup was dabbed on with a light touch; she didn’t need much. Her favorite pendant lent a light touch of additional color to her ensemble while the ring in her lip was turned gently so the weave was the focus.

Satisfied with her appearance, she headed back up the stairs to deposit her bag, weapons and phone back in the office. There, she picked up the black folder containing her service contract along with her card. Slipping back on to the main floor, she found the stand designated for her use. Her card was placed on display with the black folder beside it. Stepping on to the stand, she concentrated for a moment willing a duplicate of herself forth; that left her free to mingle with the guests and help out where needed without worry.

The ring that James had put on her finger was a thing of beauty; she had to give a great deal of credit to Amara for coming up with the idea of asking the demifae to bind the contracts. It was one of the reasons the red-head had agreed to sign up as a participant in the auctions. She had discussed the wisdom of the idea with the allurist; both had come to the conclusion it would be beneficial. A fair bit of good could come from the money raised though the blood thief had had other benefits in mind as well.

Taking a deep breath she took a walk around the floor, ensuring everything was in order before taking up a position by the door. Once the bidding began, she’d return to the office to complete the Fortify ritual. It had taken so little time to complete and her knife had been slid into her thigh sheath. After a couple moments of contemplation, she slid her Bane off, placing it into her bag. She had every confidence in the Eirenes keeping her from being mauled; tonight, she would reprise her role as a blood doll.

Following the scent, the hunter slid past the decoy on the stage. It might fool someone that knew her not, but the scent was wrong, as well he knew it was an oft used ploy of the prey he tracked. Stretching to his full height he scan across the heads of those accumulated until his eyes landed on her. His prey spotted, he silently moved closer, a light rumbling like the purr of a giant cat emanated from low with in the giant of a killer. As he finally caught a full view of the woman he hunted the purr changed to a warning growl more associated with canis lupus than any feline. The killer strode forward, his size and growl parting the crowd between them as a muttered 'Mine' slipped his lips. She was absolutely beautiful and had drawn the eye of many of the males within her establishment. They would soon find another object to drool over... or Mordechai would make sure they never leered again, once they stepped from the confines of the tent. Taking in the sky-high Louboutins, he nodded appreciatively as he took in the almost 200mm heels. "Amara" he whispered

Aden still wasn't quite exactly sure why he decided to do this is wasn't something that he normally would do giving someone an attempt to have control over him or even a moment as against his nature. But he was never going to meet anyone new in the city since dealing with the misfits was a waste of his time. Why not meet new people, he randomly met this interesting girl in the sewers. Maybe there was something to do in the town in this town besides lay waste to the monsters and see how strong he could get .

If he ever ever showed up on time to a social event he always was fashionably late. The sound of his phone went off as he reached over and looked at his phone it was time for him to be there already. He smiled and made his way out the door of the hotel this one he stayed at a lot but like all places was getting stale.

Wearing his classic 50 style leather jacket and some random short sleeve T-shirt. That was black and had some saying written on it tonight he had chose. " I have gone to find myself if I get back before I return keep me here". an pair of dark jeans and biker boots. it wasn't really a fan of dressing up in any own any fancy close and never planned on owning any. You can always catch them in his jacket a simple shirt and a pair of bluejeans.

Walking out to his Harley-Davidson taking a seat grabbing his helmet putting it on. Hitting the ignition revving the bike kicking the kickstand and pulling out of the hotel. Letting the bike just ride not moving like a bat out of hell but definitely having some fun with it as he rode making his way to the Necropolis.

He parked his bike hit the kickstand turned his bike off and took off his helmet and attested to spike. Taking a moment to run his hands through his hair and his beard getting it all back the way he wanted before he went inside. The core was nice other people would've been impressed but that really his thing. Fancy-schmancy places like this were places he generally avoided. He was more comfortable in the dive bar or a biker bar anywhere that's where people were generally real. The more defensive the core the normally the faker the people were. But tonight was an exception and he definitely could tell they went all out.

A man greeted Aden inside and would handed him a ring and an envelope."Compliments of the owner".there was a soft nod as he took the items. He was directed to where he was supposed to go and begin to make his way there as he heard her began to speak.
