Per the Wiki:
Doppleganger: The doppleganger power allows your character to create a shadow version of him or herself. This shadow form is controlled completely by the original, and can be used to attack, rob, or as a second pair of eyes. However, the doppleganger is unable to carry weapons, and is much weaker than the main vampire form. The doppleganger resembles a pure black silhouette spirit form, and is unable to speak.
Doc (d) - is able to carry and wield weapons

I think I changed them to allow them to use weapons when we realised they are a bit too weak. It makes sense that they can carry weapons, as they can interact with physical objects unlike wraiths. So I think it's just the wiki that needs to be changed, but I'll let people weigh in for a while first.
They shouldn't really be wearing clothes though, no, lol. I'll fix that when we update the avatars soon.

Well, if they can carry weapons (which, I'm not for or against btw), why can't they have clothing? Or why can't they essentially be a genuine dopple that can talk, eat (if the owner was an allurist or has the rp power) and other things-just be a shadow version of the true owner?
/me shrugs

I feel the same way, tbh. I actually envisioned a dopple being an almost exact copy of it's master. Now wraiths, shouldn't have clothes imo but if Dopple's can carry things......

I have to agree with the above.
If it is just a shadow.. that's akin to a wraith. So it's not that special really? Except that it can wield a weapon.. BUT... how does a -shadow-.. carry and wield a weapon?
"Mommy mommy Look! There is a sword hanging in mid air! Look its moving!"
Doppleganger has always meant 'someone who looks like you', to me. Not a shadow of you. But someone who closely resembles you in looks, so much so, they are mistaken for you.
As a mastery power, I would think that having a duplicate who looks like you, it far more a mastery thing, than a shadow, that can carry stuff.. cause we can get a thrall to carry stuff.
And a shadow carrying stuff, if seen by humans is a major creep factor. Bags of items floating in shadows, is a detriment, not a plus, in my opinion.
edit: also.. it has to be fed blood.. wouldn't the fact it needs blood, mean that it needs a body, to hold the blood??

These are all really good points.
I never knew dopplegangers needed blood-I assumed they had anima as their source as did wraiths. But, anything that has blood, can be killed. Can dopples be sent to the realms? Or do they just hit 0 and...what?
However, I hate to be all...idk semantic about things, I guess...but if a dopple gets to carry a weapon, wear clothing, need blood and can be rp'd as basically being you...I'm not sure dopple is a good fit for shadow mastery path. Essentially, I then see dopple as an upgrade to decoy-which is a telepath thing.
Essentially what I am saying is:
If they are a shadow form, then they shouldn't be able to do anything-tho I am not sure why they can't talk-but they can scout-which makes them nothing more than a wraith. Which I get why you gave them the weapon choice/ability to make it an upgrade because they are a mastery thing. So dopples should be better than whatever else is out there. Anything with the shadow tier, I expect to be shadowey in nature or have something to do with shadows, and sneaky things
But, I guess I then see something that needs blood, and can maybe die, being more of a psychic imprint/projection of a person, which makes it a telepath thing.
Sorry.notsorry.

Agree with the above. Seems like doppelgänger would be a 2.0 upgrade of the telepaths decoy ability.

Clothing would make sense, but ruin them somewhat. They are sinister as black outlines. As for the other things, that's how they've been roleplayed all this time, so changing them now wouldn't be a good idea. The choice was made to make them unable to speak etc in order to make it so they aren't overpowered in RP. If the player can roleplay as their doppel being there, and them never having to even be there, then nobody can really do any damage to them but they can interact with everyone as much as they like.
