How to Play

1. Each match must be roleplayed in a forum thread.
2. Each match must use the in-thread RP forum "attack" function AKA roleplay battle system. The attack button is located underneath the portrait of your oponent, but you can only use it once you have both posted in the thread at least once.
3. The results of the fight must be roleplayed. Other than that, it's up to you if you want to do it blow for blow, or retrospectively after a live battle, etc.
4. 1 thread per fight. Threads must be wrapped up before moving onto the next round, so you have a max of 2 weeks for each fight. Once all the fights in a round are finished, I'll post again with the next matchups.
5. For these fights, please all switch your battle tactics to select "cripple them" in your battle tactics, so that nobody is sent to the shadow realm. You will get wounds from these fights, but not death wounds. We'll allow 1 week for wounds to heal up between rounds.
6. Threads can be started on the Official Events board, which gives 2x RPP.
7. The victor of each fight gets 3,000 RPP. 3rd place of the tournament will be given an additional 5,000 RPP. 2nd place of the tournament will be given an additional 10,000 RPP. The winner of the entire tournament will be given a new relic which which will boost your strength by 1 point while worn, and can exceed the maximum cap for stats.

Round 1 fights are as follows:

Feel free to start your threads whenever you are ready.

For those of you wanting to roleplay as spectators, you are permitted to post in the respective threads of each fight. However, you are not allowed to join in the fights using the "attack" button.

From a roleplay perspective, these fights take place in an illegal pit style arena, where the spectators are stood on surrounding rows of terraces. It has around a hundred rowdy spectators cheering the combatants on.

So, people can go round for round, right? When will we know when there is a loser? I guess I'm not sure how the system will tell us, if it will tell us? Sorry, if I seem blonde.

When you hit the 'attack' button under the forum avatar of the other combatant, it will take both characters to an arena, where they can duke it out on grid. You'll use that duking it out to inform the roleplay.

I would suggest doing it round by round (or turn based) so that you can keep up with everything that happens on grid and get it all written out. Though obviously the specifics are up to the combatants.

Loser is the one who loses the grid fight, which the storyteller bot will announce in the thread.

So... do both contenders need to be online/'live' at the time or the first one to 'hit first' triggers both of them being moved to the arena on grid? What happens after the fight to both, are they moved from the area or left in the arena until the player moves them?

...I want one of those shirts...

LOL

And no both contenders do not need to be online. The 1 skirmish/power attack per 12 hours is in place so if someone initiates the fight, they still require the opponent to be there to get more than one hit in.

....Josh. REALLY? Do not side with the dark side!

Kidding!

And thanks for asking that question Alex, I wondered if like...not that i think Kim would do it, but what if someone were offline and came back to a total *** kicking without attempting anything. So, thanks!
