RPP Weekend and AREA Questins

0h 33m ago: Mega RPP weekend! Until Sunday night, enjoy 10 times the usual RPP rate on open threads posted in the Hardcore RP forum!
then
Until this Sunday at 11pm UTC, all RPP gained from posting on the Hardcore board will be TEN TIMES the usual rate. This does not apply to closed threads of any kind.
This is to encourage people to play around with the new ARES system and get involved in open threads where the plot could thicken randomly at any moment.
User-submitted ARES plot prompts will be added to the system tomorrow.
1. Is the rpp weekend for BOTH Hard cores? The regular Hardcore and the Event Hardcore?
2. Does the ARES work in both Hard cores? Or just the Event Hardcore?
Thanks!

Hardcore forum - not the event board. ARES does not work on the event board.

Okay, thanks (was wondering too!)
Will ARES ever go to other areas of the forum?

It's not currently planned to, I don't believe. The ARES system works really well for the Hardcore board concept because it's meant to encourage adding a little extra randomness to encounters.

Oh, I get the concept, but for those threads that seem like they're missing something or dwindling earlier than anticipated...just thought maybe on the streets would be a good place for it. Cause like literally, anything could happen on the streets. >.>

Can I add in that I'm confused about the areas. All chapter and side stories and gm events now go in the board I've currently posted in with prudence and the master and az, right?
So what is the purpose of hardcore, because it used to be that area was for the above...right?

Hardcore is used for ARES plot twists and the ruleset which keeps threads open and conflict a very real possibility. It's designed to make roleplay more open ended so that the writers don't know where it will end up. Tabletop style roleplay.
Official Events board is used for official event stories, including chapter RPs, competitions, and officially GMed threads. It doesn't use the ARES system, and threads aren't always open. So the two boards are very different.
If you need a thread moved over, let us know.

It's not planned right now, but we'll consider a post tag that allows for a plot prompt to be rolled. It likely won't give extra RPP, but it's something we can consider as a forum button maybe.

Thank you for answering all those questions. And I'd like to see a button added in, regardless of extra rpp or not. I think some random twists and turns on occasion could be fun/exciting.

Abuse the 10x RPP on the Hardcore board while you can then, because that's exactly what the Hardcore concept was designed for =D

Does the Hardcore board need to have the OPEN tag in the thread title to get the added RPP or...?
I probably know the answer to this, but my brain is melted. So, doublechecking!
