I thought I saw player made guides or advice things in the wiki, as I was trying to see if there was anything I could add to them that might be useful. Since I couldn't actually find anything that I could add to really, I figured I might try and make a guide or something along those lines much like how I had seen others in the wiki.

However I'm unsure if those were player made or by actual moderaters/somebody with actual authority.

If it is something I can do, would I do it via the "Talk" thing?

Any player can correct, update or modify content on the wiki.

If you're looking to make some advice type pages, I'd suggest tagging the page as and adding it to the tutorials category. Take a look at this page for formatting hints.
