Not much to do for now

Patrick looked at the pummels and blades laid out across his work place before back up at the clock, 6:30 AM. The sun might be out already, he wasn't sure since he'd closed his blinds. What he was sure about, was that he was almost useless when trying to defend the cure. He'd tried, but just wasn't tough enough to be all to much of a threat.
Despite that, he'd managed to get extraordinarily close to saving the cure after someone broke through the blast doors. He rushed in as soon as he heard looking for the scientist, found him twice but he ran off both times. Looked for him again but by then it was too late, someone else had gotten to him and taken the cure, and Patrick still didn't actually know who did it. After that he'd mostly just gone back to what he did every day. Crafting swords, knifes, and hammers, one after the other again and again. It was a calming work compared to fighting, and he hoped he hadn't gotten anyone to hate him during that ordeal.
He did however obtain some injuries, most of which had healed. Although he did in particular remember accidentally stepping on a proximity mine on his way to finding a blood pack, that wound was still there certainly. He sighed leaning back against a wall.
He knew people had died during that, or sent to the hospital. Vampires and humans alike, although only one of those species would be coming back from 'death'. Patrick had never been there, but he'd heard of the shadow realm. Not much really, but he got the general idea he thought.
There's not much more to do is there? Not like I could find them? Still, just imagine how many people that cure could help? Wouldn't that be wonderful if vampires finally no longer had to feed off people? I try to avoid doing it directly, but not everyone can manage that. And if you can't, you have to go after humans directly, or feed off rats in the sewers basically. And if you do the former you're hunted down. He thought, "What an unfair world this is."
