Could there truly be a cure

Patrick sat at his computer looking at it with interest, Is it possible? A way to make vampires human again? He frowned, But are they doing this as merely a trick, or is it legitimate. What if they're actually just trying to lure us in so they can get rid of us? What if it's all just a trick?
He shook his head standing up and stretching. He had lived an extraordinarily quiet life for a vampire, using his ability to forge to make money and buy contraband blood packs, and as best he could avoiding ever having to directly draw blood from a human. But this situation, this made him wonder if getting involved was actually important. There were so many vampires who thought this was a bad thing, enough of them that, just perhaps, the cure would never truly get released. And he didn't want that. If it was a trick, he was greatly going to regret what he was about to do. But if it wasn't then it was up to him and others to try and protect it, try and make sure that it wasn't destroyed by the vampires ruining their chances of ever being human again.
"Being human isn't bad, sure there's some things I could miss about my abilities, I wouldn't be a telepath or anything. But I also wouldn't be some sort of parasite either. We rely on humans just to survive. If we could all just be humans again that'd fix the fight between us without the need for some sort of method to pay for blood from them like we were all in emergency situations or something." He said aloud.
"I suppose it's time to actually do something about all this now isn't it. This may not turn out the greatest for me, I'm not the strongest or anything like that, but I'm good at making weapons. Hopefully that'll help me out in this. Time to fight my brethren." He shook his head saddened at the thought of having to fight anyone at all. But believed this was how it needed to be.
