Chapter 6 RP Opportunities

Okay, so I sort of view the whole cure issue as extremely polarizing. A person is either going to really like it or really hate it, and even people who are close friends may have drastically differing views on the topic.
So I thought it might be beneficial to get this thread going.
The purpose is to: State your character's alignment (for or against), and reasoning.
My hope is that people will see similar motivations and work together to make RP happen for the Chapter - this is especially important for this chapter I think, given how much the writing is going to impact things.
I understand that some people are going to need time to figure out where their characters stand on these issues as well, but I figured I'd get this up pre-emptively!

Honestly, I think it's going to end up that the cure will be a curse. As in a bad thing, I mean.
Betting the gov will turn out to be planning to force feed the cure to everyone and if that is the case, Alex will be against it. If it were to be a good thing, she would be pro, but only to give other a choice. She loves being a vampire.
Really hoping to get back into roleplaying this chapter so I plan to try and find out as much as I can IC before doing much that will affect that slider. As it stands now, the information known ic is unclear in my opinion.
But odds are Alexandrea be going against it. Alex doesn't trust the government any more than I do and although she is far more trusting than I am, she has learned to be cautious.
As far as Wolffyn goes, she is in there already and just killing everything. lol Not quite sure what that does to the slider...

If she's killing everything, it should have a neutral impact, and that totally makes sense! I think it's a great idea to find out as much as possible before acting. Those email fragments are going to be a huge part of figuring things out, I think, so I imagine a lot of people are going to want to work towards either gathering information themselves, or in teams.
I'm really excited to see how it turns out!

Hellequin would be "against" but only because he wants to steal it and sell it to the highest bidder, even if that high bidder is a human or a government. So you could almost say he's for the cure, but against that facility having it. Just purely because he wants to make a profit from it.

by Yvette Marie
Hmm. As of right now, I'd think Yvette would be on the fence, but definitely leaning on the against side. To her, there's no guarantee of life after the cure for the ones that have long outlived their human lifespan, nor is there any protection from the "other things" after they're cured.

I feel like there's going to be a lot of trying to suss out the details of the cure in the near future. Would be really cool if someone put together a meeting, or a few people put together meetings to discuss this stuff, with the information they've gained through the email hacks. I know Az would certainly show up. Information is key! And I believe that the actual IC information is limited right now.

by Every
Against - Every, Tate
Every is primarily against the cure. She thinks some individuals could use it and a bullet to follow, but that's how she is. In her mind, it's very, "Okay, so, what did they do to this?" as well as "humans can't even cure cancer, how can they do something that literally reanimates someone to the point they're frozen." However, if the cure works, she's also not going to just want it handled by humans. She'll likely be one to try and steal it, and then see if anyone she knows would be interested in figuring out what it should be done as a whole.
Tate is against the cure. She's very in tune with her vampirism. She doesn't trust the government or anything that she can't particularly see herself. There is often a downside, she sees, with anything such as "cures" and other various issues.
Fence - Castalia, Aurelia [Human]
Castalia is on the fence due to her relationship with her childe and her lineage. She was never entirely happy about being turned to begin with and would likely look forward to being human again. However, she also isn't comfortable with the idea of being forced into anything she doesn't know all the information about.
Aurelia worries about those she knows who are vampires, particularly if it will kill them in the end.
Doesn't Care - Juliet
Juliet doesn't care one way or another. She assumes that her relationships with those she's close with will remain as such regardless, due to the anti/pro masquerade issues in the past. She doesn't think anyone would particularly turn their back on her simply because she isn't a vampire/human. However, it's more concerning to her whether or not it would physically reverse things such as mystics jumping bodies.
For - Jersey
Her main reason is her husband and not particularly enjoying vampirism or the casual way that people harm each other. Jersey does not drink human blood, and therefore, she'd be perfectly happy returning to her previous vegetarian lifestyle.

by Rhett Keyes
Rhett-For, so long as it's not intended as a weapon, but a choice.
Enver For-mostly why Rhett is, but even as a weapon...he'd prob bypass/overlook that fact just because he wants the cure so badly...for himself. >.>
Prudence-Against. She doesn't believe there is a cure. It's too good to be true.
Gideon-For: Weaponize it. Mass produce it and destroy the vampire curse forever.
Elizabeth-Uncertain. Collecting info by hacking and sharing with a few sources and will determine later.
Roderic-Against. Vampires are the superior species and so if people want to be it (as they should want to) then it should be allowed and any cure should be destroyed.
Hannah, Vita, Birdee, Delaney, Windsor and anyone else I failed to mention at the time-No opinion at this time.

by Caligrace
Against
Caligrace, Jezebel, Ivara
Caligrace is against it because her sire is. While she is more in tune with her humanity, and she started out wanting the cure, Freyja talked her out of it and convinced her how her life has changed since she was turned. Not only that, knowledge is power. There are too many questions and not enough answers.
Jezebel is against it, mainly because she doesn't believe in it. What good could it really bring? All it's doing right now is leading them into disaster as it's threatening to tear alignments apart. What happened, happened. Her mindset is that you make what is best of what you have been dealt.
Ivara loves her vampirism. She wanted this. She craved the power, the strength. It's in her blood to be what she is, always has been. She also doesn't trust it, however, because as Every things - humans don't exactly have a good track record when it comes to things like this. She feels that the cure is a curse, and could lead to trouble or death.
For
Sawyer, Clarke
Sawyer is completely for it. She feels that if they can get it, they can use it against the vampires. She'd rather eradicate all of them, her hatred for their kind runs deep. However, if mass genocide isn't an option, reverting them back to their human selves and making them suffer through the torture of what they did as monsters works, too.
Clarke is my recently turned one. She has a strong connection with God and her family. While she doesn't hate her sire for turning her - he saved her life - she hates that she feels as if she has lost her connection with God. She's still young and pure enough that the promise of a cure fills her with hope and she's not really thinking of any downside. She just wants to be human again.
Middle ground
Oakley, Saorise, Raegan
Oakley is currently gathering as much information as she can before she is swayed one way or the other. At this moment, she has six different e-mail fragments, each pushing her further to the side of for, but until she has all the information, she's still wary that there is something that could harm them.
Saorise believes in harmony. She believes that not all vampires are bad, and not all human's are good. If the cure is there, then she feels it should be used on those that are kind. She doesn't want it in the hands of those that can do harm. So, at this moment, she's watching carefully, and going to intervene when things start to tip off balance.
At this point, only Raegan is involved, and she hasn't made up her mind one way or the other. She's not certain what she wants, and until she has more information or even figures out what the **** is really going on, she's not making up her mind.
Undecided
Aleksandra, Othella, Vexen and River.
I haven't really put thought into these four and what it means for them, yet. I do want some that aren't involved and don't mind, so as the story progresses, these four may or may not change.

Nik is very much against this due to his personal history with genetic tampering. He almost certainly believes this group is up to nefarious things and anyone siding with them is in on said nefarious plots. It's a touchy subject for the dragon, which is unique as generally he doesn't care one way or another about the latest dramas happening. I hope to participate in this Chapter moreso because of that.
