A clanging sound had woke her up from her state of sleep. It's unfamiliar sounds had worked its way inside her deep sleep and alerted Demi to a potential problem. Her eyes slowly fluttered open and took in the surroundings, before her eyes locked onto the concrete wall directly across from her. Her eyes were frozen and filled with fear at the unfamiliarity of the place she was in.
Demi didn't move as she tried to fill in the pieces of what she knew. What she remembered. Opening night. Chester. Her dad had missed the performance. Where had he been? It was right on the tip of her tongue, but never reared its head because of that metallic sound of metal hitting the floor. Or a wall.
Very slowly, Demi's eyes left the wall, and wandered south. So far, she hadn't seen anyone, or heard them either. Had she been kidnapped?! This wasn't her home and this wasn't any friend's home either. It looked like a dungeon. The walls, anyways. Stiffly, and slowly, Demi turned to lay on her back and found the other side of walls. Still, no one in sight. But there was a door.
Demi moved her head up and saw no one, then down again, and then sat up on the edge of the couch she was on. She looked down to make sure everything seemed kosher-saw that it was and then bolted for the door. Demi didn't know where she was going, but she knew she had to get out of wherever she was now. She had never seen this place before in her life!
When Demi got the door open, she was...disappointed. And frightened. More of the same walls. The concrete bricks never seemed to end! Her eyes landed on doors. More doors in the wall of concrete. Were there other people here with her? Where was here? Why was she here? How did she get here?!
As Demi ran from the room and the door she had been in, Demi tried to remember everything that happened...whenever. She had been in Georgia. At home. It seemed like just yesterday to her. She had her first performance. Was anyone looking for her?! They would know she was missing soon enough! Demi would never miss the opportunity to be the Violet fairy-or anything, for that matter!
Slowly, pieces started coming together. Snippets at best. Her dad didn't come to her performance last night. It had rained after the show. Chester! Demi hated Chester. But he had been there to pick her up like always.
She had made it home. Then....Demi couldn't remember, but she wasn't trying very hard either. She was busy looking for a way out, but as she came to a corner and turned sharply, she was met with...a monster! That was the only way to describe it! A large, walking skeleton! Demi shrieked in surprise and once again, fear, as she backed up and smacked into another tall skeleton. She waved her arms around in the air, shoving her way past the both of them, before shouting,
“HELP!”

There was no rhyme or reason to the direction he took, just blindly seeking another hit of adrenaline however he could get it. His body was used to this kind of effort, years of regular exercise, of running and climbing, jumping over and sliding under obstacles. The young sorcerer was in peak physical condition, 6'4" and toned from head to toe, muscles that carried him easily through the streets and into unknown areas. He ran to clear his head, he jumped and climbed up the sides of buildings, hoisting himself over with the strength of his forearms, his muscles straining but not yet feeling the deeper burn of exhaustion. When he wasn't working he was moving, shedding the tailored suits for gym gear and sneakers, wasting time between work and sleep. Of late he'd had more social outings, though he'd never been anti-social had just never gotten overly attached to the people who joined him for nights of drinking and dancing. His life was full of acquaintances, and only a handful of trusted friends, of people he'd let in. Even then so few knew his secrets, knew the depths of his dilemma. Easier to keep them at arm's length.
The area he found himself was strange, an entrance blocked but there was another way in, an opening that he found himself sliding into without thought. Place seemed abandoned, corridors with doors set in that felt mazelike. It forced Lincoln to pay attention, to be more cautious about where he placed his feet. There was noise here, the sound of shuffling and scuffling, a rattling here and there that made his body tense and hairs stand on end. This was a mistake. He felt the familiar swell of power within him, his chi flowing through his body as he rolled his neck and wrists, stretched his arms out to loosen up some of the tension there. Slow and steady, keep it loose. He considered turning back, it wouldn't be the first time on one of his random explorations that he'd deemed the place a little too risky. Kingsley had gotten the better of him a few times though, like the night he'd gotten into a fight in the catacombs, torn ancient zombies to bits in a suit. Not ideal. He had a gun on him, sometimes he hated but found necessary in the underground places, the dark sections of this city he lived in. Kingsley favoured a baseball bat, or some other blunt weapon, but tonight had been satisfied with the addition of a short blade sheathed and strapped beneath his jacket. He was going to turn back, to leave, but then he heard the cry for help. At first he wasn't sure it was real, his brow creasing as he waited for assurance. It came again and he found himself moving, seeking out the voice.
Linc felt the familiar surge of adrenaline he got before a fight, the kind that normally had him flinching back and Kingsley taking over, the less passive side of his personality taking charge. Kingsley had hesitated, however, almost sullenly, as if this wasn't worth his time but as Lincoln took off at a sprint, rounding a corner to see a girl being crowded by skeletal beings Kings kicked his *** into gear. The shift left his body reeling somewhat, tensing and almost tripping up a step as his shoulder slammed into the sides of one of the creatures. It didn't take him long to get a feel for being in control again, twisting and sending a knee flying, colliding with bones before the leg extended, a fierce follow through that had it falling back. The short blade was drawn as he righted his stance, Kingsley advancing and throwing his weight into the movement as it slammed down brutally against the bone man, not trying to cut but shatter. His free hand flew out, fingers extending as he concentrated enough chi to send it outwards towards the other skeleton, pushing it back against a wall with sickening crack.
"Watch out!" He grumbled at the woman, barely sparing her a glance as he worked at dispatching the creatures.

She was surrounded, and Demi didn't know what to do. She just stood there, dumbfounded. The things she was seeing shouldn't exist. Yet, here they were. Was this a dream? Or, a nightmare? Was none of this real? It made sense. Sort of. She was in a foreign location, surrounded by something someone would see only in the movies, or in a novel. She closed her eyes, the sliver of 'fight' disappearing when Demi did this. If she closed her eyes and slowly reopened them, maybe she would wake up.
Her eyes crept open, but everything was still here. The walls, the floor, and the bone monsters. This wasn't a dream. This was very, very real. 'Flight' kicked in, but there was no where to run. There was one behind her and one in front of her and it wouldn't take much for them reach their bony hands right up, and grab her. So Demi ducked, and then tried to dive between the legs of one of the stumbling monsters.
Only, she wouldn't have to. Demi had only gotten as far as to duck, when someone she had never seen-which to her further proved this was not a dream or nightmare, charged in and slammed against one of the monsters. And then began to stab at it. There was no hesitation on his part-as if this was something he knew how to do. Maybe did repetitively. And all Demi could do was remain where she was, crouched down in...fear.
His warning shocked Demi back into 'life' and she scrambled away from the other skeletal monster. Once she was a far enough distance away, Demi stood, looked around and then weighed her choices. Stay or run. Who was this guy? Had he brought her here? Demi didn't want to find out. "Thank you!" Just in case he had nothing to do with anything, before the blonde woman took off in the direction she unknowingly taken off in the direction she had just come from.

Kingsley whirled around to deal with the other skeletal being, the knock to the wall hadn't been enough to finish it off and as it came back at him he grinned, a sly, knowing grin. The creature had nothing on him. He rolled his shoulders back, flexing the muscles as he prepared for the attack. It stumbled at him blindly, the man ducking into a crouch as he pressed his shoulder just below the sternum and lifted. Using his bodies movement he hoisted the creature up and over, letting it flip over his back and crash down on the ground beside it's dismembered buddy. Fists and feet with the force of his push behind it pulverised the creature into nothing but broken bone and dust. He'd vaguely heard the thank you but was too busy to acknowledge it, now as he looked up he saw the back of the blonde disappearing in the opposite direction to the exit.
What the hell was she playing at?
"Wait! Are you insane? You're only going deeper. You're going to get yourself killed and i'm not cleaning up that mess!" He called out, already jogging after her. At the heart of him was self-preservation, after all the personality had manifested as a means of handling confrontation, for Lincoln to protect himself from the bad things out there in the world. Kingsley was born of the need to feel safe, and while he didn't always extend that protective nature out to others, in this case it seemed wrong for him to just leave her here. Besides, he could handle a bit of energy exertion. He could hear the sounds of movement somewhere else in the place, not sure if it was up ahead, but sticking around to see what else wanted to lunge out of the shadows seemed stupid. He managed to close some of the distance between them, sticking a pace behind just in case she was more dangerous than she looked. Cherubic blondes weren't always all that innocent, in his experience.

The voice called loudly at her, and she hadn't stopped. Not until he mentioned that she had been going deeper inside and not towards the exit. "NO!" Demi groaned loudly, then threw her hands in the air, before turning around to see him following after her. "Where is out?" She asked, not wasting any time. "I don't know how-Where are we?" She asked, walking in his direction in a circular pattern, as Demi took in her surroundings and him again. He didn't look familiar. She was almost positive that Demi had not seen him before tonight.
"Please. This guy-" She could remember what he looked like, but not his name. "I think...I think he kidnapped me." What else could it be? There was a serious absence of memories from the time she left Georgia, to here and now. There was a strong indication that the woman Lincoln was talking to was American, and country American at best, giving the long, drawn out vowels in her speech.
"Please. My daddy will pay ya anything, if ya just help me...get a phone and get back home. I need to get back home to Georgia." Maybe she shouldn't have told him where home was. The thought crossed her mind too little too late, which meant there was nothing she could do about it now. "Fifty thousand dollars. I know he would pay that much. I promise ya." Demi would make sure he would pay the guy exactly what she promised. There was the sound of a door opening somewhere near by, which caused Demi to become flighty again, taking off in what should be the right direction.

The woman was, for lack of a better description, hysterical. She was fluttering about like a butterfly under glass, unaware of how utterly futile the exercise was. The place was a labyrinth of branching corridors and unmarked doorways, an old building used for god only knows back in the day. Kings figured Lincoln could probably find out, wouldn't be hard to look it up and the primary personality was far more business minded than the one currently in control. The place might even be useful, it was a big space and could probably be largely gutted rather than keep the currently confusing design. There were hints here and there of what it could have been used for but too many had and come gone between, leaving bits of themselves behind in the process. The handsome man toed at just such a piece of left behind debris, a beer bottle with the label torn off, remnants of some kids probably getting into the place and using it for a party place until the zombies came out to play. He wondered darkly if they'd made it out in one piece, if he wouldn't find them half chewed in some dark corner of this place. Yeah, probably time to get out of here.
The woman was talking, in some drawling Southern accent that he had to lean and focus on to understand her fully. Kingsley's own accent sounded far more Canadian than the original occupant of the body, Lincoln's still touched by his Swedish heritage. She was talking about money, as if they needed her money or wanted it; even better, she was offering Daddy's money. He'd offered to help her get out anyway, why were people always trying to wave money at him? "Look, I don't need your money, lady, I just want to get out of here without blood on my hands. Let's ju-..."
She was off again.
Kingsley groaned, loudly, making no attempt to hide his growing irritation as he followed her in what was at least the vaguely correct direction. "Would you just ******* stop?" He hissed, reaching out to touch her shoulder as he caught up, "Get behind me, follow close and stay quiet. I'll deal with the **** that goes bump in the night." He gripped her shoulder gently, urging her back as he took a large stride forward, endeavouring to place himself at the front of their two-man escape party. Ditching her would be way easier, and probably more fun, but the guy who hovered in his head wouldn't stand for it. Lincoln wasn't big on confrontation, but Kingsley knew he wasn't going to let him walk out of here and leave someone in mortal peril. As long as they didn't get hurt, Kingsley would keep up the accidental bodyguard act if it kept Linc from spinning out on him.

Demi's shoulder was grabbed and yet again, the unfamiliar face in the unfamiliar space was around her. She could hear the agitation in his voice, and maybe if the roles were reverse, she would be too. But then again, here she was, in a place she wasn't familiar with, with no one near her that Demi even knew. Tolerance would be expected, right?
"Wait. Wh-what crap that go bump in the night?" Demi asked as she stayed behind him, her eyes peering around to see what other things might be around them. Around her. Nothing could be seen while they walked, but Demi couldn't help but wonder if there was something else out there. "How did you get down here? Did he take you too? Do you know where we are?" While her voice may have dropped in loudness, the questions didn't cease to exist.
"Forget it. None of that matters because as soon as we get out, it doesn't matter if we're in Timbuktu, I'll be on a plane out of here." Demi announced, confident that once she was out of here, she could ask someone for directions, location and a phone to call her family. "What's your name?" She asked, the topic shifting off of her and on to the male that seemed eager-maybe almost too eager to help her. Why?

He was relieved when she didn't flip out badly another time, or try to overtake him, just letting him lead the way towards the exit. There was still that faint shuffling and the creaking of a shifting building around them but no immediate danger. "No one took me. I walked down. Climbed in through a broken window." Kings ducked beneath some electrical wiring that dangled dangerously, careful not to touch it incase it was still live. "The place is abandoned, it's sort of like a maze down here, reminds me of a video game in a way. Used to get dared to come down here as a teenager, sometimes we'd have parties downstairs. Used to be a factory floor, used for a lot of other things. It was worth something once. He murmured the last, almost to himself. Her uncertainty about her location was baffling, even if she had been kidnapped he couldn't quite work out how she'd end up here. She was from another country after all, but he answered the questions, mostly as it seemed the best way to keep her calm and distracted until they were outside. "Do you mean where specifically or in general? You're in Canada, inside a building in Harper Rock, Ontario to be precise. My name? Just call me Kings." Kingsley offered it casually, a safer bet in case she somehow managed to meet the other personality. "A plane... Back to Georgia. Where someone kidnapped you from, right? Once we're out of here I'll point you towards an airport." It wasn't overly surprising that he wasn't convinced, and he let that colour his tone, letting her know that he was helping her but he sure as **** wasn't certain he believed her.
"How did someone get you from Georgia to Canada without you knowing it? That's... That seems insane,... What's your name?" He mused allowed, peering over his shoulder and giving the woman a once over, waiting for her answer. They were nearing the exit, along a corridor and through another doorway they should be able to find the window he came in through, though this place could be misleading.

As her 'knight in shining armor' minus the armor, for the night talked about where they were, Demi looked around and tried to imagine a time when the place that was covered in stone from head to toe was a factory. From what she could see there were no signs of anything, then again he had said it held dance parties once upon a time. So, she imagined that the place had been gutted for that purpose; even if by teens or young adults, like herself.
Demi cast the guy a look that indicated anything he knew would be a good starting place for her. She could try and fill in the dots later, once she was out of this..place. Until he said the unthinkable. Canada. Out of any place in the world, Canada was not something that had come to Demi's mind. Mostly, somewhere, anywhere in Georgia, having believed to have been kidnapped. But she had been moved internationally and that changed the entire game of her potential kidnapping.
"Canada?" Demi squeaked out, then hunched over. "No, no, no." What the ever-loving-god was even in Canada? What did people wear in Canada? What did they...do, in Canada? Demi tried to think about what she learned in school about Canada. They had some of the same past-times. Rich in culture and diversity, trees, outdoor things and...hockey. Ew."That. Just. Can't. Be. Possible." Demi said as she stood back up and shook her head, hearing the tone in his voice.
"I don't know!" She crossed her arms and stomped, as her brown eyes narrowed at 'kings.' "Look, I am from Georgia, my name is Demi Fae, and when I get a phone, I'll call my dad and prove it to you. Why would someone, like me, want to even come to Canada?" Demi had a lot (in her mind) going for her. "I know!" Demi exclaimed as she snapped her fingers together. "That guy I was telling you about. He had to have drugged me. I don't remember anything after-" Her brows furrowed together as Demi thought and then shook her head. "Forget it. Actually, instead of the airport, I would like the directions to the police station in this city. I bet they'll believe me." Demi uncrossed her arms, moved past 'Kings,' but not so much as to go too far in front or ahead of him. Just enough to make a statement of some description.

He stopped dead in his tracks, surprise leaving him to pause, staring at her as she crouched down and exclaimed. He wasn't entirely sure what to do about it, deciding that standing back and waiting it out was the best option. The uncertainty on his face wasn't entirely to do with her, he was concerned about standing still down here, it made him feel anxious and suddenly aware of his body, of where his hands were, of how they were empty of purpose. It made him vitally uncomfortable. "Uh, hey now, it's..." She stood up, continuing to talk and saving him the effort of trying to comfort the strange woman. He wanted to retreat, he felt the darkness at the back of his mind, the place he knew Lincoln waited patiently to be freed from.
That snapped him back to the present, the man taking a double take. "You're seriously from Georgia? And... Demi... Fae? Your name is Demi Fae? Seriously?" He let her step beside him, shouldering her way so that she was almost in the lead but not exactly using it, he was too surprised to do much else. "Fine, police station it is. Whatever..." He was content to leave it there, slide his way by her once more to pace ahead but he paused, his shoulder resting just ahead of hers, flinching as the other man who ruled the body got impatient and disappointed with his rudeness. He sighed, clearing his throat. "If you would like to use a phone, i've got one. Reception down here is trash thouh, so we need to keep moving and get out..." He softened his tone, feeling the edge of annoyance creeping back into it. "Please."
