Hit List

Ok I'm starting to wonder why it is there at all. Would any of you even consider it in its current form.
I know I wouldn't its just like throwing money to the wind. You don't get any results because Lets face it NPC Hitmen that don't do any real damage and take 10 k per hit.

If you put a Hit out on anyone You would be better off approaching another player and saying hey Ill give you 100k you go hit so and so for me and transferring the money instead of putting it up on that thing where your money would be totally wasted. SO I was wondering what the rest of you guys thought about it and maybe possible reforms or if it is just a waste of space having it there at all ?

I think it's unrealistic to get rid of the NPC hitmen-as it just doesn't make sense realistically for only PC's to go after a character. In saying that, I think just get rid of it. it's so seldom utilized.

I believe anonymity needs to remain an option.

1. It’s supported by the availability of technology these days, and isn’t farfetched. 2. There’s far too much crossing in this community for there not to be out-of-character drama sourced from making deals in-character if this option is taken away.

I vote to make it a player-benefit system only.
Remove the NPC hitmen, but keep the hit list.

Make it so that the bounty can only be taken by player-characters upon landing a certain number of hits.
(And if no one bites the bounty, then players can build the necessary rapports for their characters...)

There is no option on the poll list to keep the hit list as it is, so I selected "Other".

I've found the hit list to be a very useful tool. You can definitely get some very interesting and effective results :)

I say make them stronger and have them drop better loot then the crap that they currently drop.

realistically .. if Doc puts a hit out on someone.. and he openly announces it.. There is nothing to say that those that take up his offer would ever have their names known.

Personally... MY OPINION..

If there is a hit out on someone, and the person who takes up the job has the ability to hide their identity .. (Hide in Shadows, Alter Ego; etc) They should have that option.

I think it would make things more interesting.

It could actually be kind of interesting to see an option to use changeling in that manner. Have them turn into a cop, or something specifically when bounty hunting.

I would be more open to using the hit list if we had an option like that, as it would give me something more to play with on grid. Yes, I do get that the idea would be fun to collaborate on, too, but there are some people who would like, "Oh, you're crossing because you want to plan this" and have that all reported.

Also, I voted for the hit men to be made stronger. Better loot would be fabulous, but it doesn't make sense to get rid of the hit list itself.
