Help with stats

I need some help figuring out what to do with this one on grid.

I wanted her to be a forger, but aside from struggling to find what she needs to make stuff, I've scattered her stats a bit too frivolously. I thought tracking would help with the precious stones, but I'm not getting much. She's gonna level up to 20 soon, and I was hoping someone could help me figure out what I should focus on. I've found that with my thieves, I get silver and gold jewellery, so I'm wondering whether I should start stating in stealing...

I don't know... I'm a little lost. Hence this post.

Some suggestions from my forging perspective.

I asked about amethysts in another thread and was told (and have later confirmed) that tracking of 14 lets you find amethysts in the same caverns as the sapphires and emeralds. With no BnE I buy the gold and silver bars I need for the jewellery making, and always seem to get some return ($ & exp) for the energy invested in making the jewellery, particularly for the jobs. BnE would take noticeable investment of skills/stats, you already have the tracking, but I do too and haven't seriously considered that route. But if it suits your character, something to consider at least briefly.

Consider investing in combat skills, typically the best parts I get come from breaking down weapons taken from now dead things.

I'm not interested in breaking and entering -- that would require investing in mechanics, and I don't want that. I was referring to thieving as in stealing from human npcs. Jewellery seems to come easily when you steal from them, and it's my understanding that with x amount of rings / bracelets / necklaces, you can make the bars you need, rather than buying them. That's why I was wondering whether it'd be wiser to invest in stealing rather than continue with tracking, at least for a few more levels.

Thanks for the links -- I've moved her about some of those spots. Abandoned sewers, just north of Westwall station is a good place to pick up some melee parts too.

Tracking is great to have, as you will pick up better Q parts. You will also have better finds from the junkyard. Avi has all maxed stats for forging, but also maxed her tracking and after that put a few in stealing (for b&e to get things like lead from warehouses).

Not much gained from what you get off NPCs, or stealing from humans. You can make jewellery with the silver rings. You can't make jewellery with Cheap Gold Bracelet or Silver bracelet item drops. Also, you can't make bars from them (but that would be really neat!).

Thanks for the insight, both of you. I'll stick to tracking, then. As for attributes, I'll aim to max out strength and skill before moving on to dexterity for future stealing.

it is the jewelry you make from bars, that is upgraded, there are slight differences in the capitalization etc between forged ring and stolen rings, and the stolen could not in the past be used for forging, however that could have been changed. tracking is excellent for a forger, especially if you make weapons.

Perhaps being able to forge with stolen rings is a bug? Makes little sense why you can with stolen silver rings, but not the stolen silver bracelets.
