Tiger and Rabbit [closed]
Rowan sighed as she ran a hand through her hair. The day was almost over and she would be able to rest. As much as she loved working on her charity organization for Big Cats, sometimes the issues that came up would make even the calmest of people tear their hair out. It might have been just pure luck that Rowan still had her full mane, as it was. Closing her notebook, she set her computer to shut down. Enough work for the time being, she resolved, crossing her apartment floor to the kitchen and bringing out a bottle of wine to place on her pristine kitchen counter. A smile bloomed on her face as she took in the sleek decor once more, sending appreciative thoughts to Mortll for the fantastic appearance of her place. Then again, she owed the whole apartment, her jobs, and her life to her vampiric ‘parents’ as it were. Enzo had sired her, yes, but Mortll had more than stepped up to the plate and taken her under her wing as well. And to think that Rowan had been awfully worried the the elder vampire wouldn’t like her when they first met.
She blinked as her phone chimed and crossed over to pick it up from where it was laying on the couch. A reminder danced across her screen, telling her that she had promised herself to follow up on her younger siblings. It might have been odd of her to put in little notes to herself on her phone but she didn’t really care, considering that some might already think her odd. Swiping her hand across the screen, she sent a message to her sister, Absinthe.
/Hey baby sister,/ she typed out teasingly to the youngest daughter of her sire. /Do you want to come over to talk? I have some wine to share if you want./ With an unneeded sigh of air, Rowan sent the message, hoping to get some response. The gods knew that she and her siblings weren’t all that close, but she still hoped to rectify that.

Re: Tiger and Rabbit
Absinthe had isolated herself from the rest of the world for quite the time while soaking up the changes surrounding her. It wasn't simply the vampirism that she had to adjust to, but also a new country and home. She had not been feeding as vampires maybe should, going long periods without until she couldn't survive a fight and win. She'd been living off the blood bags she'd purchase and, failing to reach them, draining dry unsuspecting humans. It all felt very surreal. She was not adjusting as she maybe should have.
She sat on a bench and listened to the wind play with the branches of the trees, few as they were. Jade eyes stared at the sky, lost in her thoughts while sifting through what was good, what was bad. Her opinions on unlife, which she kept guarded. She almost didn't notice her phone going off beside her with a message from her... sister? They were not biologically connected but instead tied together with blood.
In the end, it was the light of her phone beside her that drew her eye to the text message. She stared into the blue glow of her phone, fingers poised over the unlock before swiping a long, delicate finger over it and pausing at the reply screen. Yes, she could use some company, she thought. But she hesitated. She had not seen anyone in a very long time. How would this go?
/I would be honored to share your company. Where do I meet you?/

Rowan smiled to herself when her phone chimed with a reply. It was fairly prompt and she appreciated the quick response, especially after her experiences at the charity where her messages were often ignored. Not that she could blame anyone for the experience... she was sure that anyone running a non profit organization would have come across the same situations, many times.
She crossed to her bedroom quietly, pondering the question of where to meet the other vampire. Knowing from her sire Enzo that the other female was fairly new to the city, to the country even, silver grey eyes glazed over while she absently changed from her furry house slippers with the bunny ears to a more appropriate black pair of pumps.
Making up her mind, Rowan swiped her finger over her phone screen and initiated a call, excitement bubbling inside her as she waited for Absinthe to pick up the phone.

Absinthe settled in, her back sinking against the wooden bars of the bench, hand reaching for her long black hair and weaving her fingers through it. Nervously she started to braid her hair, eyes casting towards the left while she awaited her answer. She had a strange fluttering sensation in her stomach as she stressed about the upcoming encounter. It'd been a while. Would she be viewed as rude for her absence?
Her mind was spinning in circles, culminating into a sudden jump where her phone started shaking violently in her lap with a loud, classical telephone ringing noisily through the still night. Absinthe placed her hand to her chest, where her heart should have been beating though now it stayed still. The standard ring tone continued to roar at her while she summoned the courage to pick up the phone. 1, 2, 3, 4.. A full ten seconds passed before she finally picked up.
"Wéi." She greeted Rowan, upon answering finally. Quiet. Soft, she wondered if she should maybe speak up but it wasn't like Daiyu to raise her voice.

Confusion ran through Rowan as the phone was picked up. "Uh, no, it's Rowan?" She murmured, nothaving any knowledge of the language being spoken over the phone. It caught her by surprise. Knowing Absinthe was from a different country was one thing, but having her answer in her own language was a completely different kettle of fish.
"I just wanted to call to give you directions. Though if you tell me where you are, I can pick you up in the car if you like?"

It took Absinthe a moment to process what Rowan had meant, dark brows furrowed and lips parted almost as though to ask a a question. "Yes...? I know?" She waited to listen to what she had to say, "No, no. I shall come to you. Where are you located?" She answered, an attempt to conceal that fact that she actually had no idea of where she was currently located.
Absinthe lowered her phone to check what time it was, as long as she had directions she could make it anywhere in decent time, she hoped.

She was afraid that they wouldn't get along, or that Absinthe wouldn't be able to make it, or even... get lost. The gods knew that Rowan often got lost in the city herself. Although, misunderstandings are usually par for the course with families and such as far as she had observed. So maybe it wouldn't turn out that she was hopeless after all... Rowan that is. Not Absinthe, no.
"Sorry, I didn't um, understand what you were saying. Was that Chinese?" The dark haired girl shook her head to clear it of cobwebs since she was afraid she wasn't going to make any sense. Not that Absinthe could even -see- her shaking her head. Rowan was being silly again. "Anyways, the place is apartment 304 on the 3rd Basement floor of the Sanctuary building. If you like, I could send you the coordinates on GPS for your phone to make it easier? Or pick you up at the station?"

She looked removed the phone from her ear for a moment, she could still hear Rowan even with the distance. Gazing straight ahead of her she gathered herself up and started moving towards the nearest station. Where was that again? She'd find it, Absinthe assured herself that it was not all that difficult to find anything in this City.
Lost in her own thought processes she belatedly heard Rowan's question. With an awkward pause she startled to a "Yes! ...yes it was. It was a greeting, that's all." She frowned at herself, she'd need to be more attentive. "I'm heading towards the station now."

At Absinthe's confirmation that she was on her way to the station, Rowan attempted to rush back into her living room, only to stumble slightly over a cable. Catching herself quickly, she grumbled to herself about how she was still clumsy at times and wasn't being a vampire supposed to help her with that. Realizing she was still on a call, she brought the phone back to her ear sheepishly.
"Sorry about that, Absinthe. Ummm... I'll meet you at the station in 5 minutes. Is that alright?" A few swipes of her phone had the coordinates of her apartment zooming towards the other vampire's phone. Rowan kept the phone to her ear as she exited and locked the apartment up behind her, a happy bounce in her step.

Mea set the box down on the floor and started fishing through her purse, looking for anything that might resemble house keys. She was quickly becoming discouraged when she wasn't finding anything so she started looking through the pockets of her violin case. Meara gave a heavy sigh and banged on the door.
"Rooowannnn - let me in I've locked my self out."
As she called her bestie's name, Willow gave a little howl as well. Meara looked at the dog and gestured for her to be quiet before going back to searching through her things.
-a few minutes after Rowan leaves Sanctuary for the train-
It took her nearly two hours, but Meara eventually remembered where her apartment with Rowan was. After unloading most of her belongings at QCC for now, she put her violin case on her back, picked up Willow's leash, and grabbed a box of the most important necessities and walked the few blocks to Lancaster's. Once inside, just as Bjorn had taught her, there was a fadeportal to take her to the apartments. So she tugged Willow along to follow, despite the pups whining about the scary blackness. When the duo rematerialized, they were standing in the sanctuary lobby, near the elevator. Not wanting to spook her Corgi any further, Meara led Willow down the stairs to the third floor and down the hall to 304.Mea set the box down on the floor and started fishing through her purse, looking for anything that might resemble house keys.
