Sorry guys,

But no one who usually fights with us can meet that time for the fight. It chose probably the single worst day and the single worst time for a faction fight and I'm not even sure why I have that as a viable option for our team, because it so isn't. (I wonder if I chose these times for Eastern Standard? - that might have made more sense)

Bjorn is asleep
Josh I believe is busy

So yeah, probably we'd have given it a good damn go, cause why the hell not. Our first for reals live live fight. But unless this is a Saturday/Sunday, and about two hours later. It was never going to happen.

For all intents and purposes, d'Artois is going to wake up late :) Or not give a ****, if you want an RP reason. Something along the lines of

"Good, now you work to keep the zombies out of the town. Tag out."

IC reason is easy for Lancaster. He's currently got no memory that he's even part of a faction that 'owns' the QZ. He'd be completely oblivious. XD

What all happens if no one can show up anyway? If Pi doesn't nominate any champions, what happens?

The time isn't exactly great for everyone in vd either, jsuk. Just wondering why we're making a thing of this publicly and not pming the leader of vd and just saying thanks, but no thanks. Mortll would understand your reasoning just fine.

Because this public format informs many people in one go, all of their side and everyone in between what I thought would work best. In one thread :) All things considered I rather think it's a good example of keeping all interested parties informed with least amount of fuss.

Doing this early means no one waits around for a battle that isn't going to happen :)

it isnt the worst live battle, nor is it the first where one team or the other couldnt show up. Nor is it the first where the times were bad for everyone/someone. The game pics the times, and the battle happens, all this has been discussed before, and settled. This is just another day in the city, not something special. It is the same rules that everyone else has had to play by in the past, and it was deemed fair for them. Therefore it is fair for all.

PM'ing the faction leader (which is found on the grid faction list for anyone who doesn't know) is usually going to me more effective than a public post.

However, there is more than one way to skin a cat...

You could consider trying to hire fighters as D'Artois has done for other battles.

Puawai wasn't saying they were unfair. She was just letting everyone know that the dArtois team was going to be a no show. She's not arguing about the way it's happened or asking for it to be changed.

I agree, it's the worst time. For both sides, and for everyone involved. It's how it's gotta be. C'est le vie. XD
