Bounce Generation [Invite]

The speakers were not synchronised. The same beat echoed in her ears twice, separated by a fraction of a second. It wasn’t particularly noticeable (it wouldn’t have been something she’d noticed as a human), but standing in between the non-synchronous sources of sound was beginning to mess with her perception. Growing increasingly disorientated, Charlie reached for the wall to ensure her vestibular system didn’t send her crashing unceremoniously to the ground.

Casting a glance at the entrance, the allurist gnawed on her lower lip. She had told Marisol they’d meet just inside the door, the hellish weather making it impossible to meet in line outside, but this was not somewhere she was keen on staying. Deciding the brunette would figure it out, she moved away from the crowded entrance way, and deeper into the club. It was packed with warm bodies, the smell of sweat, alcohol, hormones, and sweet-scented smoke from the overhead machines forcing the fledgling to take a moment to gather herself. Whether it was the recent brain injury (one of many) or simply the nature of what she’d become weeks prior, Charlie needed a moment to recenter herself.

As she sought to gather her bearings, not much further inside the club than she’d been just moments prior, her gaze scanned the entering crowds. When she spotted Marisol, her arm shot up into the air.

“MAEHRISEUL! Over here!”

It had been a bit refreshing to see that someone other than herself didn't like Raven. There was something about the other woman that was just... aggitating to Marisol's nerves, her negative aspects and lack of contribution simply grating. When she had seen the name post on the family CrowNet, there had been an audiable snort as she took her break at RetroKade, her fingers tapping idly on the touchscreen while she had been waiting for time to pass. She hated breaks, had always found them to be a waste of time. "It's only a matter of time."

She had been waiting to see how long Raven's ugly would rear itself when she'd clicked on the topic by Charlie. Like Marisol, it seemed that the other allurist was injury prone - a trait that the woman didn't like to admit - but they got on well enough. The response that the blonde had responded with caused her to snicker. Drinks had been the plan and as she got to her feet after checking the time, she realized that she needed to get a move on if she didn't want to be late. Just before stepping through the fadeportal, she pulled her bubble jacket on and zipped it up. It wouldn't do to just appear in the vest and jeans she wore, would it?

Marisol wasn't new to the club scene. She had never been fond of it, really, before she'd been turned - it made it easier to feed - and as she popped a green tea flavored throat losenge into her mouth to sate that annoying burn at the back of her throat, she hurried to the location without a glance around her surroundings. Despite not feeling the cold, Marisol hated it. She buckled down in her jacket, the snow being nothing more than a nuisance in the way that it licked at her skin as it ended against the back of her neck.

Fifteen minutes went by and as she handed her ID card to the bouncer, the woman hurried inside and shrugged out of her jacket, cursing under her breath. When she heard her name, however, amber eyes lifted to find Charlie, a smile gracing her lips afterwards. "CHARLIE!" She called, raising her hand as she made her way over to her 'sibling', "Buona sera!"

The last time they’d crossed paths had been when they’d met at the wedding, shortly after Charlie’s impromptu forage into vampirism. There’d been no shortage of interactions since through the Crownet, though this was the first time both girls found a time to meet in person. Spending time with Marisol was something that the allurist was looking very much forward to. From the moment they’d met, there’d been no doubt they could become good friends, and friends were something the Scot was in dire need of.

Instead of walking towards the brunette and risk losing her amidst the spirited crowd, Charlie remained where she was, lowering her arm only when Marisol was within reach. The wide smile on her features widened further yet as they came face-to-face, faltering only when she staggered forward as someone rudely pressed passed her backside. The allurist didn’t give the culprit a second glance before shifting her full attention to the other (of many) of Jesse’s kin.

“This place is mental, innit? Is a nice change from the usual that's for sure.”

Other than Jesse and Rhett, there hadn’t been much of the line that Marisol had met outside of the Crownet - not that she minded. She fought with Clover, who had a connection with Sol’s former master, and purposely agitated Raven online. She had met one of Rhett’s in the sewers, too, a meeting that she couldn’t complain about. As she came within reach, she frowned as she saw the individual cause Charlie to stumble.

The action to reach out and help steady the other woman was automatic and second nature. Her amber eyes shot to the man, who smirked and high fived his friend in an ‘alright’ motion. Shaking her head, the brunette focused - and the action stopped as he opened his mouth and became confused. A curl of her lips had her amusement visible for only a moment before she looked down to the other allurist.

"Mental is a good way to put it. Are you alright?” She asked, frowning before she nodded her head, "That is certainly for sure. A nice change from work.”

Bartending had rendered Charlie far more patient than she might have otherwise been in this same situation. Over the years she had fended off an inordinate number of mulish drunks, and experience had taught her that the best way to evade unwanted attention was to pay no heed to those giving it.

Steading herself with Marisol’s help, she smiled good-naturedly and shook her head.

“Aye, no harm done. Ye fancy a drink?”

It had been so long since she had indulged in a night out for the sake of a night out, that Charlie wondered whether she could turn off the workaholic within. If not, plenty of alcohol would do the trick.

It was with the constant strum of the music that Marisol idly swayed to as she watched after the men who clearly regretted his action. After a few moments, the brunette turned her attention away from them fully and watched her sibling with a smile.

"Sure, my treat?"

When was the last time she had a girls night out? That was an answer that Marisol didn't quite remember. She'd spent a while as a loner even before Logan. An actual girls night without her sister's children had been a while, but it hadn't been a bad experience, working.

"Enjoying the scene?"

She asked, turning slightly towards the bar to seek out the best way to get them in the direction.
