It hadn’t been hard, coming up with ideas to try and spend time with her grandchilde - the word itself something that Castalia was too stubborn to actually use. After getting Blair’s number from Cedric’s phone, the brunette had sent her a simple text Hello Blair, it’s Castalia. I was wondering if you’d like to join me shopping? and then gone back to work. Although it was almost a month after New Years - her memory of the night causing her lips to twitch upwards at the corners, she was still able to find glitter along the tops of some of the booths. And after a pipe had burst causing the club to close for the evening, the allurist had decided that it wouldn’t too frustrating of a task to try and remove it.
Unfortunately, with Valentine’s Day around the corner, and the knowledge of her thrall wishing to add more for the holiday, Castalia’s attempts with a roll of duct tape didn’t get her too far. With a sigh given, the woman straightened up and pushed herself out of one of the booths. Contact colored light green eyes lifted to the digital clock on the wall and she pursed her lips, dusting her hands off on her jeans - grimacing as she found a patch of the glitter having rubbed off with her action. Removing the tape off her hand, Castalia used the freehand to check her phone briefly before moving to toss the sticky glittered covered mess into the garbage can.
Her thrall, Rhys, had gone off with the plumber and electrician once they had arrived - leaving her to submit the insurance claim, the photographs being submitted both electronically and through fax earlier on. "Frank," She called to the old man behind the bar, who looked up at her as she walked in his direction, "I’m heading out for a little bit. Do you need anything?" She picked up her light blue scarf from her pile of belongings and draped it over her shoulders, her jacket following a moment later. "No, go on out, Talia." He replied in his gruff voice, watching her pull the beanie on top of her head with an amused expression. He hadn’t missed the teasing that Rhys had given her about stealing it for the day from Cedric.
"I will, merci. If any one needs me, my phone will be on." Even though she said it every time, she knew they wouldn’t call her. Her staff thought she worked too much anyway. Reaching up to pull her hair out from underneath the scarf and jacket, Castalia then straightened out the diamond studded quaver pendant that she wore before she collected her keys and wallet; it wasn't too far a walk to the mall, and while she didn't need the exercise any more, she felt it'd do her some good.

Re: The Girls Go Shopping [Blair]
The blonde was adjusting to life as a vampire. She still worked on her missions, but today was not one of those days. Today, she was just relaxing around the house. When her phone beeped, Blair took a minute to read the message. Of course, she needed to meet more of Cedric's family. It was now her family too right? So she sent a small response back. "Yes! I would love to, see you soon." Besides going on missions, shopping was the next big thing to her.
Since she had thought she was staying home, she wasn't quite dressed to go out. So, Blair hopped into the shower and did her thing before finding some clothes to throw on. She went with a pair of skinny jeans, caramel sweater and boots. It was topped off with an infinity scarf. The last thing to get done was her hair, she pulled it into an offside braid and looked pleased with herself. She had a natural beauty about her, that it didn't necessarily take long for her to get ready.
She checked her watch, it was time to go. The blonde pulled on her dark trench coat and set out the door. She didn't have a car yet, so she was still figuring her way around the city. Good thing her phone had gps. She entered the address and followed the directions as she set off on foot.
It wasn't but fifteen minutes later, she was approaching the mall. Blair looked around and then spotted the woman. She felt a sense of knowing, already. Which was a little weird, but it was probably because of the connection between her and Cedric. Blair offered a small smile. "Hey, Castalia."

Re: The Girls Go Shopping [Blair]
There was a handful of things that she knew that she couldn't forget; streamers, table cloths. She still didn't know the over all theme for the evening, but maybe it was something that she could get insight with from Blair. Color schemes were easy enough to find - Castalia actually loathed the color pink, but she could tolerate it for a night if absolutely needed. She needed to also find a better candle supply, as the last one had sent the wrong batch twice. Instead of vanilla scented candles on New Years, they had been simple and plain, and while the little detail hadn't mattered as she hadn't stayed the entire evening anyway, it was still an irritating detail that was missed.
As her phone went off in her pocket with the chime she had decided to associate with her grandchilder, Castalia removed the device and felt a small smile play across her lips. "Be careful in your travels." She pressed send, returning the device to its usual place. To say that she was mildly nervous was a bit of an understatement. She wasn't too social those days, outside of her thrall, childe and staff. But, it wouldn't hurt to make a new friend, would it?
Despite how late it was in the evening, Castalia wasn't surprised to see that the mall still had a small crowd of people hustling in and out of shops. Compared to what she had seen at Christmas time over the years, it was actually rather peaceful, and unlike that time of the year, she had been able to find a simple bench to sit on within walking distance of the door that would serve as her spot to wait for Blair. She removed her phone from her pocket once more, scrolling through her email briefly before shooting a text off to Cedric, and then shortly after Rhys, reminding him that Envy needed the deposit dropped.
It didn't surprise her in the least when she received a text from her thrall telling her that he had it, causing her to snicker. She could imagine his annoyed scowl at the message, but he had forgotten it previously. And she would never let that go. When she heard her name, Castalia lifted her head and was surprised to see the pretty blonde and offered her own small smile before she got to her feet. "Blair, it's a pleasure to meet you." There was that familiar scent of her childe that Castalia could smell, of his blood - and hers - off the other that calmed her nerves some.
"I hope I wasn't interrupting your evening?"
