Incentive to play humans

I find that there is very little incentive to play human characters on Path, which leads to a lack of diversity and a growing staleness with plots. On the grid, humans outnumber the vampires by the hundreds (if not thousands), but on the forum there are few, if any, to spare.

In light of this, I would like to start a conversation, in hopes of getting a few concrete ideas on how to change this. Canonically, there has been a huge change with the masquerade falling, and I feel like that should be reflected in grid and roleplay for humans too, and not just vampires.

So, without further ado, discuss?

I very strongly advocate for roleplay measures to increase the likelihood of people playing human characters.

The last time this topic was brought up, the discussion looked something like this. I'm honestly not sure addressing the grid problems is as necessary as the roleplay ones. To me, the major issue is that humans need leader role characters to help create ideologies humans can stand behind, and to organize the structure for more human characters.

I also think willingness to play across species lines is an important factor too.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE my humans. I know a few others that LOVE LOVE LOVE their humans too.

Kim-Dominique/louvel does...maybe plot with her?
I think Leonie mun does too. Could hit her up as well.
There's also lana and josh who have humans, they play erm...sawyer and I forget his paladin's name.
Claire-who plays claude has a human or two actually. She likes/loves them I believe.
This has only been a recent thing in the last 3ish months, but we're all keen beans for our humans.

:D

Hit any of us up!

Oh, yes. I forgot you have that paladin guy. I have a few humans. Some pathed, some not.
I have two pure bloods and two pathed. They're all so different and unique and real, and raw for their own reasons.
We have a lot of great human writers here atm, don't give up! Just see if any of those who play humans might be able to help you out? most would be willing (if not all). and don't exclude the vampire only players, either. We're all a willing to help if you have ideas/directions or even need some help with it.

Yes! I would love to write more with this character. Leonie is pure blood, though as her latent von der Marck abilities grow, she might end up going sorcerer, though I'm not sure about that. So far it's taken a moment of pure rage to bring anything out in her, so we'll see what happens. If you're not following the story line, she knew about at least one vampire months before the masquerade fell away. Either way, she's incredibly open minded. Anywho, just pm or get me on Trillian: vampire_Jada. Just let me know after I add you who you play, please, otherwise my list gets confusing.:)

Yes, we have Sawyer and Ephraim Steele. We love our little humans, and are always looking to write with them. Ephraim runs his own mini-paladin/sorcerer vampire hunting group. He's pretty anti-vamp, where Sawyer is a little on the fence about it, but either way, they're always looking for a good plot. :)

Well in fairness.. the game started without human characters at all.

THey were added later. The game originated as a Vampire only game.

Over time it morphed into a human vs vampire game.

So Yes i can see the point of view.

I currently play, 1 vampire and 3 humans.

The 3 humans are in different points of progression.

However, just because they are not ... obvious antagonists.. do not under-estimate them.

Its not that there aren't humans out there. There are quite a few .... Its a lack of communication and groups ... Everyone is scattered to the four winds on it ....

Vampires have the whole of Crow net Humans have well one small forum There are no lines no families not a lot of groups there ... there is a major lack of kinship amongst the human population of harper Rock The Vampires have blood to bind them together ... So the lack of family is I think a issue .
